When we came in, it was quiet but soon after, so around 11pm lock, it got busy but there was still only one woman helping all the customers with their food, drinks, tables, and special requests from the customers. Coulda used another body but she did amazing job. Food was nice, great for the price. Was a wonderful experience.

A little confusion with the order at first and time constraints make you feel rushed. Other than that, the staff were friendly and helpful and food was nice.

Food and service were superb! Tastiest lunch we’d both had in a long time. Staff couldn’t be more pleasant. The only blip was the fact that it wasn’t warm enough but perhaps we were amongst the first customers of the day and the heating hadn’t been on long?

First time at the Selkie and it definitely won't be our last visit. We had the Chefs selection and it was truly spectacular. Service was friendly and quick. Highly recommend, fantastic evening!

Visited with a friend at 1pm on a Friday. Was busy which was nice to see, thankfully we had a table booked. We chose the chefs selection small plates and added another dish. This was more than plenty. Lots of vegetarian options available. Food was tasty, as was the wine. The service was friendly and efficient.

The food was absolutely outstanding! Portion sizes were perfect, and a really good variety of plates to choose from. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes tapas. Such a great addition to the ferry! Can’t wait to come back!!

Enjoyed a very good lunch with friends. The menu has interesting options and is flexible if you want to sample several different foods or to share. The decor is attractive and simple and tables are well situated. All servers were polite, helpful and friendly. We all agreed that we will return soon. Highly recommend this restaurant.

First time in the Ferry Selkie, very impressed when I walked in, cosy, warm and inviting, staff were lovely. Lots of choices on the menu, only slight disappointment was dishes came out at different times with a bit of a wait between them. Will definitely be back though.

Second visit. Have now experienced dinner and lunch. Lovely surroundings. Food quality excellent. Only criticism could do with a bit more choice in the diet drinks. Not great choice if you are a diabetic. Will definitely be back

There were 2 menu items off the menu - do not expect any items off at lunch time! Coffee machine jammed. Only told after 10 mins and offered tea instead, but we had to leave because parking had run out.

Overall a great experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The two specials, mussels and scallops were especially good. We ordered a little too much, 3 tapas each and some bread (which in itself was really good) is probably a good amount to start with. You can always order more.

Loved the decor outside and inside. As it was my friend and I’s first time in the Ferry Selkie the waitress was very helpful in helping us with the menu. We had 4 small plates between us and they we all delicious, especially the chorizo and black pudding with red wine and honey sauce. And bonus, the wine selection was very good and very reasonable. Will definitely be back.
