    Sat upstairs away from the stage. But the music coming over the speakers was way too loud. Me and my dinner partners had difficulty hearing each other over the table

    Great experience. Service was great. Ambience fantastic with jazz band playing most of night. Whiskey menu expansive. Food was ok. Steak was good but not amazing for the price. Steep cancellation fee too. Great place for date— Romaric, dark, intimate, fun. Would recommend it if in area. Maybe just for drinks and appetizers

    Great place for a drink. Music is great atmosphere us great. Service also is good. The food is a bit disappointing nevertheless. It's a pity. I would go back for an atfer dinner drink.

    Do not recommend. The live music was fantastic, but our entrees still had not arrived after an hour and forty five minutes. My wife and I asked for the check and left before they arrived. It's a shame because it was our anniversary and we left without actually having dinner, but we still spent over 80 dollars on just an appetizer and a side. The appetizer was supposed to come with focaccia, but we received a few crackers instead. Also our table was rickety and I had to keep jamming my foot under one leg to keep it from wobbling. Overall disappointing because this place is quite expensive. Glad they comped my drink, but I would have preferred if they did more for me.

    Come for the music and cocktails. The food is hit or miss. Oysters were great Focaccia bread was disappointing Shrimp cocktail was horrible and not worth your money. 4 sub-par previously frozen shrimp for $32 Meatball appetizer was tasty Beet salad was okay but barely any beets No blue cheese olives for the martinis but I won’t hit them for that Live entertainment and ambience was nice.

    came here for my boyfriends and i 2 year anniversary! it was the perfect place. it’s definetely pricey so i recommend eating before hand, but the ambience and live music is so romantic and unique! this place is a must!!

    Really great atmosphere! Love the live music and it isn’t too loud at all, perfect date spot. However, food was underwhelming. We only ordered a couple apps but it took longer than expected and I think was forgotten about as it came out kind of cold. Had to order new fries and they were very mushy and not crisp.

    This place is fabulous for a date. Perfect lighting, right volume level for music. Food tasted amazing. Great service. Fun bar you can sit at afterwards. Creative drinks.

    We had a wonderful evening here! We shared crab cakes and two side veggies + a bottle of Italian red wine. Our server was so sweet and thoughtful, showing us how to adjust the lighting at the table to add our ability to see the menu. The music, Edwin Vasquez Trio, was out of this world! We are following him on IG now too! All the servers were professional and top-notch! Can’t wait to return 😊

    Went on a gloomy Sunday to try some whiskey. Our waitress Tamara was very knowledgeable and helpful. She really made our experience stand out. We finished our night with delicious espresso martini as dessert (apparently they make it with their own coffee). Will definitely come back!

    The Flatiron Room has super ambiance for a New York City dinner. The deep red colors, live jazz music and cozy atmosphere made for an enjoyable evening. We couldn't get reservations for the main floor and needed to sit in the mezzanine area for dinner. We couldn't see the performers. I would only go again if we could get seating on the main floor. Food was certainly good and the whiskey and bourbon selection was extensive. If you are looking for a jazzy, swanky feel for dinner, the Flatiron Room would be a good choice.

    After pre booking thanksgiving dinner ($270) which for the amount of food we got is very expensive...not even a drink included, i purchased 2 beers and 1 mocktail then asked for the bill which came to nearly $400 minus our deposit of 270 leaves 130 ish...the 3 drinks were 32 dollars and the rest was taxes and a mandatory tip of over 60 dollars. I thinks its shocking how you have no choice but to pay that, i will always leave a tip if the service was good and i had a nice time but tbh we had 2 different servers one of which didnt really understand english propery, got given the wrong desert which was nasty and we got sat next to a table of 4 where the son and father was arguing most of the time we was eating. Food was not worth 270 Starter i got some salad leaves with se mozzarella Main was 4 pieces of turky with a table spoon of mash, green beans and some soggy stuff on a plate and dessert i received apple strudel and the only nice part was the ice cream that came along side. Hopefully their actual menu is much better than this. This is my personal opinion to any other guests that look at this review, dont be put of by it give it a try.

    The band and venue were outstanding but our meal was mediocre and served not hot/warm and the again potatoes were cold with a solid uncut-able crust. If the food was as great as the band we would have been thrilled. I’d say the meal was double a fair value.

    We had the pleasure of attending the Thanksgiving dinner this year with live music and outstanding food and drinks. We arrived an hour+ before our reservation as our sight seeing ended earlier than planned. The manager took my family to a special mezzanine table, and we relaxed with drinks while listening to the band and waiting for our reservation time and table. He served us personally and made us feel like the VIPs that we certainly are not! Our reservation table was our own semi-private room right off the stage where we could enjoy the band and have an intimate Thanksgiving dinner with the family. The food was unique and bursting with flavor. The bourbon and spirits list is one of the best in the city. The Blanton's Bourbon I had was from a hand selected barrel that the manager personally traveled to the Buffalo Trace Distillery to pick out. The ambiance, lighting, and decor of the Flat Iron Room enhance the experience with beauty, taste, and class. The clientele were beautiful, well dressed, and everyone had a great time. Our server made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant with outstanding timely customer service. Her great attitude and beautiful smile helped cement the night as one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. If you want to impress a date I've found you a great spot! Families need some special attention? Look no further! Looking for a special NYC dining experience? Three words. Flat Iron Room. Enjoy!

    This was our second time coming to this location for the all inclusive Thanksgiving dinner. The venue itself is charming and the ambiance is lovely and intimate. We took away a star because the food ($$$$) seemed like it was a pre-plated buffet dinner quality. Very unlike our first experience. The thanksgiving turkey was super tough and dry. Taking away a second star because of how rude the hostess was (not the blonde one, but the brunette) to my mom. Our family have all worked in hospitality, and we’re very gracious for everyone who was working the holiday last night. At three separate times through out our evening this girl was so rude ! Basically herding the guests around like cattle and so impolite. Ordering people to go one way or the other. We were shocked and disappointed that we were treated that way. I hope she was just having an off day, because this place is too nice for that!

    Went for Thanksgiving dinner and was so disappointed. My father in laws turkey was raw , he didn't realize until he had ate some of it. We told them it was raw and they agreed and gave us a glass of champagne. They didn't comp anything of the meal and it was very expensive for the standard of food. The music was too loud and we were unable to have a conversation. It also was very cold inside.

    Went for Thanksgiving and the food was terrible. The portions were extremely small, the turkey was dry, and everything was lacking in flavor. The only positive thing is that the service was great. The experience overall was so disappointing for the price that we paid. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

    The Music was good, but not original Jazz The food was ok, nothing impressive The set up is quite excellent I have to say that overall is a very good if visiting NY with your couple The selection of single malt scotch is one of the best I’ve seen The Neighborhood feels friendly and secure

    If you're on a trip: don't waste your time and money there! The singer spent more time doing breaks than singing. We started with tasteless shrimps. My wife ordered raviolis: full of flour, try not to suffocate. Burger was ok. The waitress was like a bear with a sore head... Still there was a nice choice of whiskeys!

    Excellent atmosphere perfect for a date night or anniversary. Food portions are a tad small but very tasty. The music was great from the singing to the DJ. Overall I’d go back and recommend the restaurant and experience.

    We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. After taking a considerable amount of time to come, one of the appetizers were wrong so we had to send it back and wait for the second. Then after another considerable amount of time, our entrees came and one of them were wrong, AGAIN. This was most likely due to it being very loud as we were right in front of the stage, but I suggested our waitress to write down our orders and she said it was okay. Between the very long wait times and incorrect orders, plus below average drinks, I will not be coming here again or recommending it.

    This was my second time at this restaurant while visiting from out of state and I decided to bring my sisters as part of a bachelorette trip. The service was very different from my first time here, the host who greeted us was rude as well was the server. The drinks were okay, the steak was good but the ravioli was undercooked.

    Unfortunately, food was quite disappointing. The burger had absolutely no flavour - it was watery, as if there was no salt or pepper at all. Drinks and service ware nice. This was my second time - and maybe it was just a bad timing.

    Great place to meet with friends after work or a date with your partner to enjoy amazing whiskeys and cocktails. The food was great and of high quality. The staff was knowledgable in steering us toward the type of whiskey we wanted and also surprised us with some of their suggestion. The music made our night fly by like we’d only been there 30m 2hours later. Highly recommend.

    First time at the Flatiron room, my wife and I absolutely loved it, will be back for sure. The food the service the ambiance all hit the stop. Love listening to live music while I drink and eat!
