The Flying Pepper Cantina will continue to offer the popular menu that is enjoyed at the food truck and will expand their creative flavors and unique ingredients by offering additional variety, tapas, a rotating seasonal fare, and a new way to discover fine foods in a relaxed atmosphere. Humberto will stay true to his Mexican roots while introducing cuisine that offers unfamiliar and unexpected flavors in a friendly environment with fresh, local foods as the market and Ohio seasons allow. Patrons will have the opportunity to compliment these flavors with a fresh approach to tequila, local craft beer and a specialty menu of cocktails.

    Treated some guests to The Flying Pepper Cantina and they were quite impressed (me too). Went on and on about the food as being both flavorful and unique as Mexican restaurants go. All was freshly made and served with fine presentation.

    The food is excellent, but they need to add vegetables to their dinners. And the cheese and refried bean appetizer is like soup, it needs a much thicker consistency

    We came all the way from Lima for a date night because we heard great things. We weren’t super impressed with the food unfortunately, it was just ok. Our server was great. It’s located in a cute part of town and it was decorated very nicely. Not sure if we would drive all that way again for food that was just ok though.

    So glad we drive 50 minutes to Bellefontaine for this gem. The service and overall attitude from everyone working at The Flying Pepper Cantina was exceptional. The food was wonderful and clearly fresh ingredients are important to this business as well. The Cantina Trio was excellent, as was the Shrimp and Veggie dinner and the Veggie Burrito Bowl. The drinks were inspired and hit all the right notes for fall! Would enthusiastically recommend.

    Restaurant was super busy because of a car show in town that night but service was still good. Food was great and came out pretty quick despite them being busy. Good spot if you have kids, as its not a real quit sit down restaurant so no one should be disturbed by a couple busy kids.

    What a refreshing, fun and delicious restaurant in the heart of Downtown Bellefontaine. The drinks and food are just as amazing as the service and environment. Highly recommend and worth the drive.

    It was amazing,,,excellent on all counts..except we choose to eat outside on a lovely summer evening. The nose from the street, loud cars etc was awful and ruined the experience. Great place but definitely eat inside!

    Bri was great! I know she’s normally behind the bar but she was so attentive and she allowed us to enjoy our quiet evening out for Date Night. Would highly recommend her as a server and this place to dine! As always the service and food was impeccable!

    We were there during happy hour. Can't beat Sopes for $2.50. Our food was very good and service was excellent. Everything they serve is fresh and delicious. We highly recommend.

    Cute place in charming Bellefontaine, Ohio. Service was top notch. Menus is limited, and that is ok. A tad pricey for street tacos ($4.50 - $6, served a la carte, so sides are extra). Basic margarita is $10, specialty margarita was $12. Great ambiance and fast service. Maybe a little too fast. Appetizer was gone and main course delivered before the margaritas arrived.

    We looked on Open Table last night for something different that we haven’t had before to celebrate our anniversary. My husband is from Mexico and I saw that there were homemade tortillas on the site although when we told the hostess she said that they don’t have homemade tortillas which wasn’t a big deal for us and just wouldn’t have been a nice addition. Our waitress Audree was wonderful! So was the hostess! We came in through the carry out door because of our GPS and they kindly took us where we needed to go. We will go back again even though we drove 40 miles to visit.
