The food and service is always great at all Flying Pig’s… This visit, my cousin from Calgary is currently dairy free. The staff went ahead and put the Parmesan/sauces for shared appies on the side, even though we forgot to ask! Amazing!!! We will definitely be back.

We ordered the shrimp and crab croquettes for our table of four and the waiter said it comes with three do we want to add one more croquet and we said yes. When it was delivered to our table, there was three and it wasn’t our regular waiter so we said they were supposed to be for. After the fourth one came after a long wait our waiter came by and said oh my bad, I was thinking of our salmon cakes that come at three but croquettes come as only a two piece serving when it all came down to the bill it turned out. We were charged $40 for an appetizer , and they weren’t all that great. The Brussels sprouts, which were mostly loose leaves, instead of whole heads were very salty. My lobster and prawn risotto had a teaspoonful of lobster and two tiny prawns. Very disappointing.

A cute neighbourhood gem that does very late night happy hour. We came here at 11:30pm after a business event and enjoyed a cocktail (jungle boogie), a deep dish pizza (the bodacious) and salmon cakes! The value was pretty good, especially their cocktails. The place was quite empty at that hour on a Friday night, but it still felt energetic as they blasted some good music. We look forward to coming back!

Our waitress was lovely and so busy being the only one on duty. Food was as expected, nicely presented and hot. Although there was a serving of jam on the plate and we have no idea what for!! There was no bread on the table … maybe Flying pig does not do that anymore.

We went for their late night/happy hour. Such great value! Especially Their pizza is amazing~~!! quality, quantity and the value, absolute must try. Very underrated place! love the ambiance, and they also have patio with bond fire in the middle. Great for all occasions.

Consistently good food and decent service though this time it took a while before a server came over to ask if we wanted water. We had the HH sliders and poutine. Lighter fare before going to the hockey game. It was a Sat night and the hostess advised there was a 2h seating limit. I never really thought about it but their dining room doesn’t have many tables.

The our server and service there was amazing! It was my husband birthday. We late 20min but they kept our table and welcome us very friendly. Our server gave happy birthday and wrote “happy birthday message “ to the dessert plate. We ordered salmon and cod that was also good. Dessert and drinks were also good too!

We all wanted warm and comfort food to take the sting off the Autumn chill otherwise the fixed menu looked good. My friend rated the three pea soup with charred bread made in-house, 12 out of 10. The Mac & cheese for $12.50 was bit bland and needed something extra for "kick". The steelhead trout served with parmesan risotto came with broccolini and string beans. It was beautifully seared, crisp and clean - great taste of local seafood at its best. We plan to come back to take advantage of seasonal promotions and happy hour.

quick dinner before going to an Arts Club performance. The server was very good, understanding that we had to get to the Arts Club and brought our drinks and food in excellent time. The food was good and while it was a loud atmosphere everybody there seemed to be enjoying themselves. We'll be back.

We want to thank the staff at The Flying Pig for being so accommodating and helpful. We underestimated our travel time and the heavy traffic, we were almost an hour late, we called to let them know and they saved a place for us. We now were in a bit of a rush to go to the theatre. The staff member who sat us, let our waitress know and she gave us some good suggestions from the menu which wouldn't take too long to prepare. The food was delicious and we will be back to enjoy all the options on their menu. To top it off, because we were going to the Newmount Theatre we received a 15% discount on our bill. Highly recommend, great service!

When I read the menu ahead of the meal, I expected a higher quality delivery. The wild mushroom pappardelle were overcooked (faux pas, especially nowadays), drowning in sauce, with bland and unharmonious flavours. A hearty, warming fall dish, and the chef throws in several underripe cherry tomatoes for good measure...it took me all day to digest this dish, feeling heavy and deeply unsatisfied. My friend's chicken parm strips left a lot to be desired, as well. The staff were lovely, attentive, and kind, the ambiance was very nice, decent wine list with Canadian and international selections. I hope they can up their food game.

I usually like to come here, food is good and atmosphere is excellent However, this time I was little disappointed. Customer service was very slow. I have been here multiple times and it was better service then yesterday which is unfortunate considering we came for special occasion. They did not seem to care even though it was listed on reservation. It was my first time to try sweets here and cake was really bad, dry and too sweet.

Today may have been an off day, usually food and service is pretty good. Took almost 20 min to get our drinks, even though it didn’t ‘look’ busy, lots of tables empty. We ordered brunch, asked for medium poached eggs, but yolks were hard, so waited for a redo of the eggs. Not the best experience this time.

Sadly, our food pretty much disappointed for all three of us. The menu reads beautifully, but what we got was really lacklustre. I had specifically asked how big the mussels were that day, and was completely shocked at how teeny they were (when told they were big and juicy). Over 60% of the shells were closed or almost closed! The soup was so thick, it could hold a fork upright (as we waited almost 15 mins for the server to bring a spoon!). It was disappointing… but our server was pleasant.

He estado en otros restaurantes de esta cadena y han sido mucho mejor. Fuimos mi esposo y yo con mis hijas jóvenes. Aquí la comida solo es buena pero no deliciosa, no esta de acuerdo al costo. Pedimos Salmón, Pasta y Carne. Creme brûlée lo mejor de la cena. No tiene estacionamiento. Amable servicio y ricos cocteles.
