Cocktail, Beer and Food menu is fantastic! With COVID restrictions it is less social, but it is weird everywhere!

Unfortunately, the burger was greasy, bun soggy (as though microwaved) and fries were also greasy and inedible. Sadly, we won't be revisiting.

Prices too high. Not like it used to be. Go for high customer numbers by lowering prices and see overall tips increase plus bottom line will grow - instead of high prices that mainly tourists can pay

Hi Tom, Thanks for the feedback. Sorry the business model does not work for you. Margins are set at a fair and sustainable place to ensure the long term employment of our 30 staff. Hope to see you at The Shovel again soon!

I have never had a bad meal at the Shovel. Great place for a beer and a burger. Takes some getting used to masked servers but, it's a sign of the times. Very friendly and welcoming.

We frequent this pub often. The food there is very good. Mixed drinks are fun. A bit pricey, but worth it.

The beer was cold, food was hot. Good selection of beer. The soup was very good, Chicken burger was really good too. Lots of room around the tables, able to keep a reasonable distance from other patrons.

The Flying Steamshovel is my favorite place to eat in Rossland.

Top notch craft beer list-- something for everyone.

Great menu-- almost everything is made from scratch. This is not your standard frozen pub food fare: try something new, from takes on the classics to world cuisine!

I love this restaurant. I’ve been dining here for several years. One of my favourite dishes of all time, however; was removed from the menu; which was disappointing!
The Mac and cheese was absolutely to die for (especially wonderful to treat a bit of a hangover).
The burgers and wings are equally delicious and the staff are amazing!

The Steamer has quietly, but very successfully transformed itself into a great little taphouse and eatery over the last few years. It's a great food menu, surprisingly diverse, and they keep a terrific lineup of taps. During dining hours, it's not too loud or too quiet, it's just right. Good staff, quality management, there's everything to like. Except the mens' washroom. That needs to be relocated.
