    We went for dinner with a group of 7. Got seated and drink order taken right away. Food was relatively quick to come out and tasted amazing! Dessert was delicious as well. 10/10 would go back.

    Both the food and service was fantastic. We were a table of 8 and our food arrived quickly and all at the same time. Definitely would recommend the Steamshovel .

    The Shovel is always a great choice. The food is very good, with a broad mix of pub style offerings and unique items to meet all needs, as well as a robust drinks selection. Service is always efficient and friendly. They also offer great live music most weekends and attract top notch talent. All in all, one of Rossland's best and consistently enjoyable dining experiences.

    The burger was not very good. The yam fries were good. Overall, for the price the foos was not up to par. It was a real disappointment.

    The John Candy burger is always a hit. Get it with a side of poutine. Mojito was served in a tall glass which was a delight

    Super busy but it didn’t feel like the wait was long to receive our drinks, appy, and entrees! Food was fantastic and dessert delicious! Definitely worth a trip to Rossland!

    We always love to bring friends and family to the "Shovel"! The food never disappoints, even tho sometimes it gets really loud in the pub. Our server was amazing, and everyone enjoyed the evening!

    Very pleasant experience, staff friendly, service was good, wait for food was very good. Great atmosphere, location. too many doors to get into restaurant 3 ?? Menu is kind of limited.

    We had a great meal on Friday night. Food was fast and delicious. They turned the music down at the back for us so we could chat a away and hear each other easily. The servers are soooo friendly. We are so lucky to have the Shovel in Rossland.

    My husband and I had a great dinner here last night. The gimlet that was on special was excellent and we both loved our cups of homemade pea soup with yummy local bread. This was the best pea soup I’ve ever had! So amazing to have perfect homemade soup at a restaurant. Next we both loved our red shrimp curry with fantastic enoki mushrooms, veggies and tons of shrimp. It was medium spicy which was perfect. We thought we were too full for dessert but after tasting the apricot wine, we asked the waiter if we could get the homemade skillet chocolate cookie to go with the wine. We didn’t want the ice cream and the other additives that sounded too much for our full bellies and he graciously obliged. In fact we were amazed at his great attitude despite how busy the place was and all the tables he had to take care of. There were lots of other really good sounding options on the menu so we are looking forward to coming back to this restaurant again!

    Valentine’s Day. The service was good and so was the scotch egg and fish and chips. The atmosphere is a pub so not very romantic. Otherwise an overall 4 rating.
