Lunchtime booking for a table for 6, 5 had the fish and chips. Whilst it was lovely, portions did seem a bit inconsistent and we did have to wait for one meal due to having to cook more chips. Overall was a nice meal though and staff attentive. Menu for the evening looks more varied.

First visit since current tenants took over. The paint scheme is welcoming although a little dark for lunchtime but I would imagine has a great evening vibe. The food was freshly prepared and delicious, very generous portions too. Lovely welcome from the staff.

We were really looking forward to returning to The Fox after it changed management…..we use to go on a regular basis. We had booked a table so when we had to wait 25 minutes to be seated because as we were told ‘they had slipped another cover’ in that didn’t go down well. Then we waited another 15 minutes to order once seated and by the time we received an odd barely warm looking Thai meal we had been at the restaurant a just over an hour! We did not realise this was a Thai night only if we did we would not have booked my mistake. Then when we went to pay we were told we had to pay for our food and drink separately! Overall not a good experience and based on this I would not return

I went along to this lovely village pub for a roast and I was not disappointed. I had a lovely roast beef dinner which was served by very friendly and attentive staff. My only recommendation would be to also have cauliflower cheese and stuffing as options on the menu and then it would be amazing :) I will be returning, thank you for a nice afternoon.

Had a nice time at the fox and the food was ok. U fortunately, I think they are still finding their feet as there were a few things which might have been dealt with differently. The staff were were friendly and very nice but maybe a couple more at busier times might be the way forward. I will definitely go back and I am looking forward to the Thai night. I wish the fox the very best of luck.

Sadly this was not as hoped for, I booked for Fathers Day. First they couldn't find my booking, then after 3 attempts and 1/2 hour we got our correct drinks order. We then had to grab a waitress to take our food order and when she arrived the items on the menu were either incorrect or unavailable because there were alot of bar orders for food taken so insufficient product was accounted for. After a further wait, the kitchen then flooded due to the rain. Another mucked up drinks order. Stock levels for pudding options was limited or not available. The Sticky Toffee pudding did not have butterscotch sauce but ice cream and we were rudely told that this is how it comes from the waitress and the brownie came out without the stated ice cream! At best the waitresses were overworked and at worst due to the business being over run had little knowledge of the menu or idea how to manage the situation or its customers professionally and politely. We even had to ask for the music to be turned down as we had a speaker above our heads. This ruined what was supposed to be a lovely sunday lunch with my pops. Although management tried to compensate with a discount, we will not return, and after sunday's service I don't think we will be the only ones. Shame as we like to support local businesses where possible.

We booked this local pub for an evening meal When we were booking we chose to eat inside the main restaurant, when we got to the pub we were told that we are eating outside as that is what we booked, upon looking at our booking it was for the main restaurant. We were seated outside as all tables were taken, we ordered drinks which took a while to appear. When we looked at the menu we were advised what was left for us to order this was 7.30 in the evening surely not all food had gone at this time of night, the menu is small not a lot of choice, while choosing another tables food was delivered to a table behind us, the food was returned as only half the meal had been put on the plate, then another plate from the same table was returned as the food was not cooked properly. We ordered our food which took about 30 mins to arrive two of us had lamb one burger and a steak The lamb fillet was not that big one of them was mostly fat and gristle inedible the steak and burger was ok, not a lot of chips or salad with steak or burgers. When we told the waitress about this all we got was I’ll pass the feed back on to the chef. We asked for the bill which came quite quickly, there is a service charge added to the bill but there is no notice of this until you get the bill. while we were sorting out the cash to pay we were presented with another bill apparently they had missed out a round of drinks so we had an amended bill, after we studied the bills there were drinks that we never had on the amended bill, we pointed this out and paid the first bill, as we were leaving a couple turned up for a meal they hadn’t booked, they were told to sit outside and a menu with what is left for them to choose from will be provided, not very good service. We normally go out twice a month this being our local pub that does food is convenient for us but after this we will not be dining there again. A shame as it used to be a good pub and good food.
