The Frontier BBQ and Smokehouse
Friday & Saturday: 4:30pm - 10:00pm (Reservations Recommended)
The food was good but pret4y expensive as well. The restaurant could use an update for the amount they charge.
Too many extra taxes for guests visiting. Our server was great though and super friendly the food was just okay.
It was convenient to the hotel we were staying at. The price was sort of high for a family. Food was decent. I don't usually do the "buffet" thing but it worked. I wouldn't run back but it was just fine.
Polite, friendly staff, answered our questions, good selection of food including salads, meats, vegetables and desserts, live music in the outside space although I was quite content to listen to the classic rock music inside. We are from the UK but would visit again if we ever came back this way.
Visited the establishment on the 4th of July while visiting Niagara Falls and in search of much needed BBQ to make the holiday feel like I was at home. The BBQ meats were average, not enough sides in my opinion. Very disappointing salad bar. I didn’t see the first tomato or normal toppings you would find to make a meaningful salad. The potato bar selections seemed adequate, but I was a bit disappointed in this establishment being touted as Southern BBQ, though I will say I am from GA, lived in TN (Memphis area) so finding Southern BBQ in Canada should be seemling difficult.
It was average food in a tourist area. Price was reasonable, service was good as our hostess, Jade, was quite hospitable. Establishment very clean, but you find that often in Canada, not a surprise, but deserves a compliment.
2nd time ive been great bang for buck!! Service was good and ther3 was some sort of event as well!
Meats were amazing! Holy meat sweats! Soooo good!
Food was good overall. Would like to have seen greater BBQ variety esp w/ meats. Prices were high for selection of food and cuts of meat.
The Niagara area is full of restaurants, but Frontier BBQ is a real gem. Its the closest that I've tasted to authentic Texas BBQ, complete with all the sides. Two thumbs up!
Your food is extremely sweet and the options are surprisingly limited. No corn on the cob o my sweet beans no savoury. The service was amazing your staff was friendly but the food is way to sweet. I'm a diabetic so the beans the pulled pork are not diabetic friendly. It was disappointing in that regard.
We went here with two small children for Father’s Day. The service was fast and friendly. My husband is a big meat eater and said the brisket was delicious. Both our children were able to find things they enjoyed as well. The dessert was just so/so but that’s not why you go to a place like this
Not worth the high price. The majority of the food was just OK. The brisket however was very good. The server was very friendly, but the place was a bit dirty and it was empty when we were there. The total came to nearly $200 for 4 people on a Friday night. Definitely not a good value. The dessert bar was laughable. I would not go back.
Great BBQ, unlimited quantities. If you like ribs and brisket —- this is the place!
Very good food and service. Great variety of foods on the buffet. A little too pricey, even with the local discount, to make it a regular place but will return.
Clean quiet and friendly, bbq was dry and sides were luke warm. Desert was equal to gas station snacks. Lots of potential. Parking is great
Our server was warm, friendly and very attentive without being over bearing. We will be back bringing friends and family for sure. So happy we chose your restaurant to celebrate our anniversary.
Great food ! Great concept . Wish the salad bar was bigger and more dessert options though . The food was fresh and hot and amazing though!
Was hoping that since it was a busy weekend that the food would be fresh, past reviews have similiar comments as mine. The "premium" foods that were available including brisket, ribs and fried chicken were all very, very dry. Brisket looked like it was excellent at one time but anyone who knows BBQ knows you can't keep these meats on serving temp all day and expect them to be any good. Steamer trays or humidifier box may help or par cook and finish as the pace dictates. While not overly expensive its still 50.00 a head( with two drinks ea) and no price is worth overcooked food. Had the food been fresh it may have been a different story but with other options close by I wont be returning soon.
If you like buffets this is a good buffet to go for.
Brisket was awesome, fried chicken wasnt greasy, Potato Bar was excellent. Apple Crisp was perfect. Ribs were "meh" little to dry even for my liking. Were sauced but that didnt help them overall. Pulled pork was way to sweet for both of us and I LOVE pulled pork as a rule. It was sweeter then the Apple Crisp. Good selection of sides..... Falls prices so no surprise there. Didnt have a beer like I usually do because I had some in the room at 2.50 for a can as opposed to 8.75 for the same amount so I waited and had one in the room.
It was our first time dining at this restaurant. The brisket was seasoned so well. The fried chicken was so crispy and juicy. The pork ribs was tasty but it wasn’t fall off the bone. The ham tasted normal. The pulled pork according to my daughter was tasty and on the sweet side. There were a lot of choices for the sides, I had the lettuce (ok) and baked potato(it was a bit on the dry side) $30.00 per head (we ate on a Victoria Day weekend, Sunday dinner) it was a good value of money. The Apple crumble was a bit on the tangy side probably because of the lemon? My daughter enjoyed the coconut pudding though. We need to try the hotdogs and the sliders next time. Our server Bianca was very attentive. Overall, a great dining experience.
I went for the first time last summer and loved it. This time, I drove my brother-in-law and sister down from Waterloo to celebrate his birthday here! We love good BBQ, and we were all so impressed with the flavours, variety and quality of all of the food there! The sides are just as impressive as the meats. Make sure you go hungry!
Went for the first ever breakfast at frontier the only thing missing from the menu was french toast pancakes oatmeal and maybe some rice pudding
Came here for the mother’s day brunch. It was $29.95 a person. Everything was great. Food was excellent. Something for everyone. Very clean. Wait staff was accommodating and pleasant. We will definitely be here again.
Was dissappointed in the menu for Mothers Day, and we brought our Moms. I found the meat menu had very little to choose from, and no potato bar as advertised....we paid enough so I was very dissappointed at the selection. I honestly don't know if I would go back. Service was good, the one thing I can say.
Great pulled pork would have loved pulled chickens
Very tasty brisket and pulled pork. Service was excellent.
love the food the chefs on the grill we very helpful and well mannered made our anniversary dinner with friends very enjoyable
We got there with a reservation and at least 2 tables who walked in at the same time as us were seated before us. The young man at the front was very friendly but it was still a little upsetting that we didn’t really need a reservation. The server seemed very annoyed and in front of us to another staff said I can’t wait to sit im done with people. Which lead me to feel bad for asking her for anything . Another gentleman ended up bringing us our refills. The food was amazing and I will return as this was the first time I had a not great experience but it was a little disheartening.
They didn't leave enough space between table so I had to ask them to sit us elsewhere as there was a few bigger people in the area so not all of us could fit. Not happy with the fact that locals get a discount but tourist don't, you are a tourist town and we get hit with all the tourist taxes.
It was amazing we went to for my mom in law birthday..... Food was amazing will be back for sure
It was amazing! Great food! Compared with other Niagara Falls dinning prices, it was outstanding!
Very friendly service and great food also very allergy aware with my sons allergys and very accommodating ofthem making him feel like he could eat there
The food was amazing. Go hungry. And wear stretchy pants.
the food was great and the waitress Barbara was on top of things never had to wait for anything.
Excellent place to eat if your looking for that BBQ experience. It is family friendly and has something for everyone. As compared to rest of the restaurants in the area price is very good.
The food was good but it was extremely expensive. For two of us the total was $79. Soda is not included in the price of the buffet there is also a tourist tax.
Enjoyed the food but was not happy with there only being two desserts
Very good. Tasty food and very happy with our locals special offering.
