The Frontier BBQ and Smokehouse Ratings and Reviews
They did not have our reservations so sat us by the front door. The restaurant seemed more like a fast food place sitting at the front doors and not in the dining room, made it feel cheap and over priced for $35 per person. Food was good. Would be nice to see a larger salad bar but most people are there for the BBQ meat. Watch the automatic tourist tax if you're a resident. Might go back during the week when it's a bit cheaper, it's not worth $35.
Food was nothing special. only 2 desserts was disappointing. Mac and cheese and brisket had no flavour- expected more from a smokehouse. Food set up was cramped seemed more like a hotel breakfast buffet.
I find it difficult to get value for my money with any All You Can Eat Buffets but we wanted to try FrontierBBQ.
Now I have my own smoker and do my own ribs and pulled pork all the time and occasionally I try brisket so I feel I know a bit about BBQ.
Frontier does a good job with BBQ. I loved the brisket, the ribs were good but just not to my taste, I prefer less salt in my rub. The pulled pork had way too much sauce for me but I could see it was popular with many others. I was impressed with the selection of sides and what I tried were good but I was there for the meat.
They kept everything replenished and and the whole buffet area was bright and well laid out.
I’d recommend Frontier BBQ for special occasions, groups or folks that are really really hungry.
The staff was awesome. The atmosphere was pleasant.and exciting.Keep up the good work.
food was ok, All tasted same though. Server did not check in once and didn't take tourist tax off until we questioned it. Price was way to high to justify meal . Restaurant was clean but not cost
Great selection of delicious BBQ! Potato bar is awesome and the brisket was perfect. I left feeling full and hurting!
For the most parts there was so much food to try. I sampled a little of everything I liked. The one thing that was not my favorite was the turkey roll and stuffing. I feel for the price you pay a real turkey should have been more appropriate than a glorified turkey roll. The stuffing also didn't taste really home made it felt more like boxed stuffing. As for the rest of the food I sampled it was really good.
It was our first time there and a friend recommended it to us...we spent our first night ever in Niagara Falls and it was a excellent choice to have dinner lots of good choices of food!!!
We went for my Granddaughter birthday, everything was great, the food was delicious.
This was our second time there and would definitely go again.
Overall we enjoyed our birthday celebration and dinner. This was our first visit to this restaurant. Table for 4 was crowded with 5 of us but food was good and varied although the fried chicken was quite dry. With this kind of buffet I understand food needs to be prepared well in advance but there were a few items that did not stand up well to pre-cooking. Service was not a good as it could of been especially with a 4 year old and I would recommend expanding the beer selection a little. Seemed like some odd choices.
We are local residents and will likely go back.
We enjoyed our dinner here so much and will be back. This is the only buffet I will visit in Niagara! Thanks!
The food was just average. The brisket was terrible. Most of the food was cold, including the baked potatoes. I will not eat there again.
1st time there. Great food and service. Great price. BBQ smelled great from hotel room. Meats were well cooked and propper portions. Guess it's just DIVINE.
The food was super salty and the bbq menu is limited. The price is cheap compare to other places around niagara but I would definitely not return.
The food was tasty but for the same price I could have gone th the Keg for steak. Our waitress was Jen, she was very nice and attentive. We went on a Tuesday night so it was quiet and had a limited menu.
I was most interested in the brisket but found it overly fatty although I have never eaten it before and didn't know what to expect.
Great food, however a bit expensive for a buffet. Lots of variety. The meats were very tasty!
We stopped in for dinner during our trip to Niagara falls and we're very pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the food! Excellent selection, and great service. Jennifer was our server and was super accommodating. We were originally seated outside as the patio looked so nice and relaxing. Unfortunately it started to downpour, but we were very quickly brought to a table inside.
Thanks for a great dinner!
The food was delicious but we found the price a little steep. My 80 year old parents definitely did not get their money's worth. Seniors prices would definitely be a good idea.
Food was good but the buffet is way too expensive. Unless you have a huge appetite, it's not worth the price.
First time visit . Big buffet with lots of choices !! Great baked potato bar and salad bar with many choices! Quote a number of proteins to choose from -beef brisket, hamburgers, hotdogs, amazing fried chicken , bacon meatloaf was delicious , etc... lots of good choices! Corn on the cob over done unfortunately! Sweet potato mash was delicious as well! Baked beans ; string beans , and other veggies were good! Only hiccup was if you wanted dessert was $5.00 plus extra which should be included in my opinion. Bloody Caesar choices -4 to choose from! Very interesting and yummy.
Not sure if I would return for price we paid for 2 people with 2 drinks and no dessert plus tip was $110.00!! Could eat better elsewhere
It's not the South. To be fair lots of choices. Ribs and brisket where good. Great potato bar.
We came with our friends from Brampton as we spent some time in Niagara Falls. The buffet was very good as it was different than most. I think we will be back at some point.
Food was not worth the price at all. Would not recommend or return.
I mentioned we would like a piece of cake at the end & no one read my email. And basically the food was terrible and the huge buffet were fixings for a baked potato we had 1 drink with our meal and the bill came to over 200 for four of us. This place is only there to roook the tourists!!!!
It was a nice experience but all the meat seemed to have the same BBQ flavour. I recommend they offer different sauce and rubs on their ribs.
We went for a three day getaway to Niagara Falls, liked the menu we saw online, arrived and were greeted by very friendly staff, Barb our waitress was awesome, bar tender on duty, and all staff very friendly, and the bus people were right on top of taking away empty plates. I tried the beer sampler with dinner, which was very enjoyable.
Ribs, bacon wrapped meatloaf, and smoked chicken were awesome, my brisket was a little dry, smoked peameal was great, wasn't fussy on the fried chicken. Potato bar was fantastic, and they had a great selection of veggies, garlic roasted brussel sprouts, fresh green beans, corn on the cob, and spinach.
Also their baked beans were outstanding, exactly the way I like them, very yummy, the chili was good as well.
Lots to see and eat, great staff, this restaurant is a solid 4/5 for me, and if the fried chicken was better, different coating, it would have been a 5..good job though.
All BBQ and smoked meats were great. The brisket was awesome.
The best ribs I've ever had! Service was OUTSTANDING!
Very nice. Enjoyed the selections and the potato bar! Would have like to have seen some small desserts - nothing big or heavy - just something sweet after the dinner. I look forward to more locations in the Toronto area.
Food was excellent and ant wait to come back for another great meal
We love the Frontier BBQ and Smokehouse. Great variety of all you can eat with a price that can't be beat! Every time we go the staff is VERY accommodating and super friendly. Atmosphere is clean and roomy, you don't feel squished into a small area. Service is quick and efficient. We will be back again and again!
Amazing food of you like BBQ!!! Definitely would recommend it
the ribs where terrible the brisket was very very fat but cooked right. alot of the food in serving dishes where dry and had been there too long asked all the people with us if they would come back. They all said NEVER.
The meats were prepared and smoked to perfection. The ribs were amazing. Good variety on the buffet....loved the loaded backed potatoes. Will definitely go back.
We tried nearly every dish and thought the food was all quite tasty. Service was great. Would return next time we are in the area.
Way too expensive. But amazing brisket. No where near as busy as I would expect. But that may be reflective of the cost.
We went for our Anniversary and have been for birthdays and we found it to be a little pricey for each person. Also there was no desserts on this day and when celebrating a special day and spending that much money they should do a little something for it. Just my opinion Over all the food was fabulous..... Will go back im sure someday :D
Food was good. Service was good. I am sure everyone has had better bbq food, but it was a reasonable cost for buffet in a tourist attraction city.
Our dinner reservation was cancelled by the restaurant a few hours before our arrival so when we got there, we were no longer on their list of reservations. It's a good thing I had all my emails on my cell to confirm that we had a reservation. The service was a bit slow and I noticed that the manager was not attentive to cleanliness of the place (did not pick up a piece of paper on the floor and walked right by it. Pork ribs were dry and a lot of items tasted the same thing.
Our first visit with a friend for his birthday. Colleen our server was great. Live music was excellent.
