    The service was horrible. I dined in late august and I still have to leave this review because of how upsetting it was. I had to ask other servers more than once to get the attention of our server. It wasn’t a busy night at all. It was a hassle to order wine with my dinner (again having trouble to get the attention of the server) and by the time it arrived I was finished my meal. Not one heat lamp pm the premises. A evening eating outdoors, nothing. Bring a coat and expect to eat with it on your entire meal. You would think Casa Loma has some kind of standard at running a restaurant. Go to blue blood instead if you want a proper experience and experienced staff. I will never recommend or return. I can’t believe I wasted money and time here.

    Great setting for dinner especially at sunset. We've been here in the past and the food was much better before. Chicken was dry and not flavourful this time and ratatouille as the new side is not great. Our server was slow and forgot about us for almost half an hour after we ordered drinks.

    The ambience and the view was really good. The only problem was the food; there were not many options on the menu. I tried the burger which was not anything special and was not worth the price.

    I've been 3 times now, and twice has been great. Unfortunately, the recent time I visited, the server was very nice but we had to wait at least 15 or 20 minutes for some hot water/tea refill. It was freezing that day and we needed something warm as we were dying from the cold. We had first round of tea and we wanted a refill after. We were told the kitchen ran out of hot water? So we expected maybe like a 5 or 10 minute wait but we ended up eating half our food without any beverage as the server took our cups and didn't return with the teas for maybe 15-20 minutes. We had to remind her once, and by the third time she came around our table she told us the hot water ran out and they are making more. I'm not sure why it would take a kitchen so long to just boil some water. I felt like waitresses were given too many tables to attend to as well and was hard to get a hold of. By no means did we not enjoy the actual server, she was very sweet.

    The food did not taste good for the price we were paying. Our server forgot our requests a few times and we had to remind them a few times. The ambience was the only thing worth it about the place. I got the most expensive thing on the menu and it was subpar. The food was bland and menu was limited.

    Saw a huge mouse running in the garden, bathrooms are essentially port-o-pottys (the nicer kind with a sink) and not clean. Castle is beautiful but the service is rushed, doesn’t have answers for basic questions. Bathrooms need a huge improvement in frequency of cleaning (ruins the beautiful atmosphere). Food mediocre but castle view is stunning.

    The service was good not great. The food was just okay. I put on my reservation that it was my daughter’s birthday. Nobody even acknowledged it. I wouldn’t return and I wouldn’t really recommend this spot. It’s okay but nothing special. There are many better places in the city. Especially for the price.

    We booked VIP tickets as it was a birthday. The food was adequate, nothing special, but fine. Sadly the service was quite slow. Not the fault of the staff, who did seem to be doing their best, but there simply wasn't enough of them to manage the size of the crowd. There also isn't enough restroom capacity. One bathroom that serves both men and women and a line up that's 25 people deep. I missed at least 3 songs just waiting in the line and getting back to my table. That said the entertainment is what you're really there for and Sean Jones and band do not disappoint. Amazing energy and everyone was up dancing under the stars of a beautiful summer night. The Soul In the City concert series is a must see! So, you may want to skip the dinning part but don't miss out on the experience. The Gardens at Casaloma are spectacular and really lovely when lit up at night.

    Beware Raccoons!!! There was a family of raccoons sniffing around the patio for our entire meal. One of the waitresses joked that they named one “Charlie” and told us that he’s harmless (implying it is always there). When spending hundreds of dollars on wine and steaks, this is not funny or cute (and probably a major health code violation). Totally ruined our appetites and experience.

    My experience was sub par at best !!!!! We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir and the young lady who served the wine actually apologized because they did not have a decanter how embarrassing!!!!! And the wine glasses were worse than banquet hall glasses !!!! If your going to put expensive wine on your menu then they should have the proper accessories !!!! Plus our sever had zero experience on how to pour wine and literally spilled wine on the table !!!!! Now let’s talk about the food !!!!! Not sure why the food on the menu is pre cocked and then kept warm !!!! Especially that the Liberty Group are in the restaurant and venue business !!!!!! What a joke !!!! I ordered a burger and it was the worst burger ever !!!! So dry that it was uneatable !!!!!! The whole experience was horrible even If the garden was well kept !!!!!! In my opinion they should shut down the concept and revisit to make the experience exactly what customers are expecting !!!!!!!!

    The ambience was just amazing. Service was great though not excellent. But unfortunately the food was just terrible. We ordered the steak, bbq platter, salmon, with snapper ceviche and tuna nachos. Was truly disappointed with the quality and taste of everything except for the tuna nacho which was average. Steak looks and tasted like it was cooked in a microwave and the worst ceviche we've had. Been going every year but this was our last.

    We were disappointed with our dinner yesterday. We have been the Gardens for dinner 2 years in a row and this was our 3rd time. This time the food was mediocre, a little salty. Service was slow and the wait staff although very polite was very young and not very experienced.

    The service at The Garden at Casa Loma was a disappointment. Despite the beauty of the surroundings, the experience was marred by a lack of customer attention, lack of communication and slow service. Beside the expensive menu-the quality of the food & drinks was pathetic. I ordered latte that was cold. In food items, everything was soggy and temperature was not right. In addition, To make the matter worse, they gave us the wrong bill. They charged twice of the things we ordered and refused to correct the bill by the manager over there. Despite the culinary experience, I had to pay the gratuity too on the wrong bill. In summary, although The garden at Casa Loma is a wonderful place to visit for its beauty and ambiance, the culinary experience and service was rock bottom and poor management.

    Takes a bit of time for the castle to convert from tours to restaurant, so you will be waiting a bit if you come right at 5pm. But once in, overall a great environment. Food could be better and they could add a bit on the menu, but it is decent.

    It was a terrible experience and I definitely don’t recommend it to anyone. The restaurant doesn’t have a kitchen and it is operating out of a tent in the parking lot which is what you are getting for food or at least that was the explanation I received from the manager. We ordered apps and main, the apps were not good but I thought it is a matter of opinion. In addition we ordered medium rare steak ($40) and shrimp penne pasta ($36). The steak was reheated and looked boiled or microwaved. The pasta was gross, maybe canned tomato sauce, almost raw shrimp and there was a hair in it. We didn’t touch the food and immediately left. It is worth mentioning that when asked for pepper on the pasta we got tiny pepper packages you get at the hotdog stand. This is not a high end restaurant but it is not cheap and the quality is very very poor.

    The service was terrible. Had booked more tables than they had staff to serve. Huge gap between starter and entree. My steak was over cooked and cold as a result. After entree the plates sat on our table for ages. The staff seemed liked that had no experience and not been trained on how to serve food. Gave up on dessert as could not face the wait.

    The atmosphere was nice however no music at all in the background. Would have loved to hear any music outside for ambiance. Food was ok, the meat was a bit tough and not tender. portion size was good for price. Good to try at least once. Our servicer was great. Also the umbrella staff trying to find shade for guests.

    For such an exclusive location, the food and drink choices could have been infinitely better. I ordered a simple cocktail that has been in existence for decades and could not get what I wanted. I couldn’t get a glass of milk for my son. The bar selection was horrible. The food was served so quickly that it was clearly already prepared and just warmed up. We were not permitted to use proper bathrooms inside of Casaloma and had to use an overglorified porta potty. So much room for improvement. The only saving grace for the dining experience was to be able to dine alfresco in the garden; this was the primary reason for my choosing this place, so at least the view lived up to its billing.

    Love this for the summer ! However a little disappointing that they charge if we have a bday to cut cake and then won’t offer a slice complimentary. It’s not the most affordable place to eat - the least they could do is at a least offer a child complimentary dessert when you will charge us if we bring our own !
