Our food is a reflection of the melting pot of cultures that has gentrified the Queen West neighbourhood in Toronto. The menu has been designed for guests to share plates, in an effort to create a convivial and social dining experience.

Our Wood-Fire Pizzas are a cross between Roma and Neapolitan styles; cooked in a wood-burning M.A.M pizza oven imported from Italy. It yields a crust that is thin but sturdy. Wood-fire capabilities are critical for our menu as the flavour imparted on the food is exceptional and unique.

Our cocktails are equally thought out as our food. Our bartenders serve up a no-nonsense cocktail program featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients that are all made in house.

That was the first time we went to the restaurant on my birthday. The food was very good. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we could come back again.

We were disappointed in the service. We waited 10 minutes before someone noticed that we were not greeted and checked in. They apologized but then service did not improve. We ordered 1 drink and it took forever to come and we had to check with the waiter if it’s coming. Most staff had to room around between indoor and outdoor dining areas it was really hard to catch any of them when we needed water refill, napkins, the bill and machine, etc. Most staff had no smiles including the managers. Food was great the pizza was definitely delicious but the service completely ruined it. We would not come back.

Cocktails were delicious. The grilled shrimp lettuce cups underwhelmed (small portion, cold tough shrimp and sauce was just ok). Bulgogi short ribs - amazing. The pizzas usually fantastic had an off night. Busy tonight, service was fantastic.

First impressions are important. When you first walk in you will notice the decor is very impressive. Not a big restaurant so it feels more intimate. Menu is not extensive but has something for everyone. Service was professional however a little stretched.

As a frequent customer I note service level dramatically poorer. Seems many experienced staff have left only to be replaced by kitchen staff in training but not necessarily cut out for the job.

This is my fourth time at The Good Son. I love the ambience and I find the food very good. On my last visit for dinner, our server (I think his name was Emir or something like that) was excellent. Friendly without being too friendly - he had a real genuine warmth and smile, that felt authentic. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and dishes. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Music - 10/10 Food - 6/10 - rigatoni pasta didn’t taste the best Service - 6/10 our waiter was very nice but often disappeared on us whenever we needed him. We always had random people coming to our tables Also, don’t like how our reservation was being timed down to the last second. Pretty annoying as we had ordered dessert only for another waiter to tell us we had 15 minutes left with our table. We also had to wait 20 mins for a waiter to come to our table so we could even order dessert. Overall, it’s a nice lounge place but don’t go if you want to have a relaxing night and somewhere to chill because they time it to the last second. The food is also super average. It was my first time going and that was more than enough for me. I definitely don’t (and won’t) need to return as i don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything really. Our waiter was very friendly and nice though and the music selection was great
