Our food is a reflection of the melting pot of cultures that has gentrified the Queen West neighbourhood in Toronto. The menu has been designed for guests to share plates, in an effort to create a convivial and social dining experience.

Our Wood-Fire Pizzas are a cross between Roma and Neapolitan styles; cooked in a wood-burning M.A.M pizza oven imported from Italy. It yields a crust that is thin but sturdy. Wood-fire capabilities are critical for our menu as the flavour imparted on the food is exceptional and unique.

Our cocktails are equally thought out as our food. Our bartenders serve up a no-nonsense cocktail program featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients that are all made in house.

First of all I'm a cook and if the kitchen can't substitute French Fries for Mash Potato and have to bring the mash on the side but still put the fries on the plate that to me is not what a good cook is. Second of all the pizza had very minimal or at all cheese and third the server came to the table and asked if we needed a plate to be cleared and we said no and she said there was no rush....10 seconds later the floor Manager came by and asked the very same thing. We felt like we were rushed out. Overall I didn't like my experience and wasn't worth the 140 bucks I spent. Won't be coming again nor will I recommend this establishment to anyone

I went last night to the GoodSon at Don Mills, party of 6. We ordered 3 pizzas, two orders of the hand cut fries and drinks. Everything was absolutely incredible! They have the best pizza there, simply perfect - we like to ask for it with a little less char then the standard preparation so consider that. An awesome night!!

My boyfriend I came her for a quick date night for the first time. Inside is super cute and cozy. All the staff were attentive and very nice! Taylor was our server and she was great! She was so fun and friendly and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Next time we go, we hope we get her again, she was awesome. The pizza was also so good that we ordered a third one to go. We will definitely be coming back.

First time visiting Good Son and it was a fantastic experience. I saw them on the winterlicious list, which I didn't get to try, but I will definitely try it this coming summer. The hostess was accommodating and gave us our preferred seats. The servers were nice and made sure we were enjoying our food and had everything we needed! we ordered steak tartare, which I loved how it went well with the grilled sourdough. Spaghetti Diavolo was a hit, except the spaghetti didn't hit al dente, it was too hard for me. I ordered Roasted Oyster mushrooms but not worth it, garlic tahini was too much for me. We also got carnivore which I loved how the crust was baked to the perfect chewiness! The drinks were a miss, but will definitely try something else next time.

Really nothing wrong of any magnitude. Based on many visits over the life of this place, try and avoid the techno top 40 music. Part of your niche has been to be the adult restaurant in the Shops at Don Mills

Our server, Sean was great and the food was delicious. But unfortunately wouldn’t recommend this location. Before we even sat down, the hostess told us we have to be out in 2 hours. In the empty restaurant, we were sat at a very awkward and uncomfortable table. The chef didn’t allow for substitutions for the sides — which is not totally irregular, however didn’t add to the experience. Nor was “no substitutions” listed anywhere on the menu. Disappointed as we’ve been here before and enjoyed ourselves!

The toppings on the pizza were not good. The service was excellent though!!!! I think if you ask the server for recommendations you may enjoy it more. We just happened to pick the the feature pizza, which had plain walnuts and fresh figs. I thought there would be more carmelization, but the flavor combination did not work. The piccante pizza was decent enough. Terroni is better for pizza though.

Burger was great. Server was awesome. But I took a star off because of the hostess. We had a reso and she sat us a the worst table in an empty restaurant. When I asked for a booth she said they were reserved for parties of 4. There was one table of 2 there but she said it was going to be used for party of 6. An hour later she sat a group of 2 there. Not a party of 4 or 6. Maybe restaurants have reasons for where they seat you but she obviously lied and I don't know that I would go back because it was so annoying the way that went down.

I have been to the Good Son on 4 occasions. The first 3 were great…this last one, not so much. Immediately upon being seated with a reservation my dinner companion was told there was a 2 hour limit…felt rushed before even having been seated. We were given flat bottled water without being asked if we wanted tap and were charged for it. We weren’t sure who our server was and when we asked the gentleman who came to the table for our drink order if he was our server, he said no but would take our order. We placed our order and I informed the server I was celiac and wanted the burger with a lettuce wrap. Our order came and my burger was on a bun. Another server took it away to remake it but left my dinner companion’s meal and it would get cold. Anyway…the whole dinner was not what I knew it could be at the Good Son. Was very disappointed especially because I had raved to my dinner companion about how good it was. Thank you
