Last minute booking for a late breakfast. My daughter chose Cinnamon French Toast as there weren't waffles on the menu anymore. I went for my old fave of Eggs Benedict. Seated straight away & service prompt. Payment taken at the table on ordering, which is convenient. Atmosphere good especially when it filled up. Lovely light & airy restaurant setting. My daughter wants to return to try the lunch menu.

Varied menu, going too far with vegetarian/vegan/gluten free. Not enough normal choice. Changing the menu too often, losing the favourites.

Ordered 2 avocado & brie paninis for lunch. About 10 minutes later waitress came out from kitchen very apologetic and said that there was only enough brie for one person so my friend said she would choose something else instead, which she did. About 10 to 15 minutes later the waitress came out of the kitchen again to apologise and the chef came out to say that he had managed to stretch the brie so we could both have the same dish. It arrived and was absolutely delicious and the waitress and chef handled the matter in a very sympathetic way. Would definitely go back.

Service very poor. It took them two attempts to deliver my English Breakfast. I expected it to be delivered all at the same time. There were at least four waiters serving about a dozen tables so they had plenty of staff, one of whom seemed to spend all her time saying "sorry". It took us 90 minutes at least to have lunch. They served the smallest, plainest, scones that I have seen for years. Having to pay for each course separately before it is served is inconvenient. No paper receipt for payment is available. The only bright spots were the field for walking the dog beforehand and being able to take the dog into the restaurant.

The restaurant is very spacious airy with interesting structural details, the trees used for the timber framework must have been enormous. Good service from very friendly staff and the menu is wide enough for most tastes, and of course there are usually dogs about the place. The gardens are still impressive in winter, beautiful in summer.

This was our second visit and once again we were impressed by the friendly service, the quality of the food and even in February the beautiful setting. The restaurant has been expanded into the area once occupied by the shop and there is plenty of room for two and four legged visitors. Dogs are made as welcome as people and ours was as relaxed as we were. The menu is varied and very tasty - be advised to go on a really empty stomach- the portions are generous! We’ll be back for afternoon tea. It’s a perfect spot for a little outing and allows us to treat ourselves while giving support to a really worthwhile cause.

This is a lovely place to meet up with friends and eat. The menu has many different delicious dishes and the volunteer staff who serve are always so kind, warm and friendly. There are usually several ‘well behaved’ dogs sitting with their owners waiting loyally for them. My young dog absolutely loves it here especially the opportunity she gets to run safely ‘off lead’ in the field and practice her recall training too. Thank you to your team and everyone who works here for such pleasant visits.

Food is always fresh and hot, delicios! The sunday lunch is great and they also accommodate for various food allergies. Slightly slow service but since the staff are all volunteers it’s hardly fair to judge the venue simply by that. It’s a nice Sunday lunch location with dogs in tow, they’re dog friendly.

Yet another pleasant lunch with a friend. Missed seeing the pulled pork dish on the menu this time. It was delicious. Chicken schnizel was good, but a little dry.

Service was great unfortunately one of the meals was not, fish goujons were a little over cooked making them very dry, not much taste. It was quite noisy but was very busy which accounts for background noise being high. Really nice waitress took one of the goujons back to kitchen and gave me a refund though yet to show up in my account yet so hopefully will be received. It was a shame as eaten here before and had no complaints but have expanded amounts of tables by removing the shop which was in the cafe perhaps the kitchen cannot cope with increased table size when at full capacity.

Dear Carolyn Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm so very sorry to learn about your fish goujons but pleased that we were able to respond quickly and offer you a refund. Please accept my heartfelt apologies that your meal wasn't up to our usual high standards. Please rest assured that I will pass your comments on the chef and his team. With kind regards Rachel, on behalf of the team at The Grange Restaurant

My son and his wife were visiting from New Zealand and we decided to return to the Grange as we had had such an enjoyable experience there previously. Again we had a excellent meal - all of us chose the all day breakfast and it was superb in all respects

Lovely dog friendly cafe. I thought there could be some better choices on the day time lunch menu. I did struggle a bit to find something that I would enjoy. But what I ended up with was good (fries were perfect!) and I would visit again.
