Welcome to The Greyhound, a 17th century coaching inn, in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town.
Owned and managed by husband and wife team, Daniel Crump and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the pub and restaurant was named as the ‘One to Watch in the UK’s prestigious Top 50 Gastropubs Awards, named a TripAdvisor 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award Winner, and voted the best restaurant in Bucks & Oxon by guests in the annual Muddy Stilettos awards.
The Greyhound is made up of 3 key areas for guests to enjoy: an intimate drinking lounge and outside drinking terrace, the main restaurant for dining (upstairs and downstairs), and an outdoor covered and heated dining terrace.
The different menus showcase a commitment to using the best seasonal British produce available.

I love this restaurant so much! We had the Festive Lunch Menu this time & it was all wonderful. First class service without a doubt & the food is excellent. Prefer sitting upstairs as I love the ambience & decor. Always 10/10 for us, thank you all once again!

We were warmly welcomed by staff, as soon as we walked through the door. It was like arriving at a friends house for a dinner party. It wasn’t gushing false friendliness and I can’t remember any other restaurant where the welcome is as genuinely warm towards its guests. Service throughout was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will be back soon.

My family & myself dined here for my birthday meal, & it did not disappoint! The decor is stunning, a very warm & friendly welcome on arrival. The waiting staff were all very friendly, professional & helpful, just a lovely place to be! I think this was the best meal out I’ve had, my starter the scollop dish was delicious. My main was dry age sirloin, cooked perfectly. Along with many treats brought to us from the chef throughout the meal made it very special and a true experience. To top it off the Banana soufflé was 10/10 the best pudding I’ve never eaten. I will definitely be returning to try the tasting menu. This is now my new favourite!

We came for my birthday. The staff are fabulous; friendly and knowledgeable. We had the tasting menu, which was full of interesting flavours - parsley root? - and some under-used vegetables; mashed salt-baked swede reminded me that this was a common vegetable in my childhood. For non-drinkers there is a wealth of tempting mocktails. We loved the food, and hope to return for the bargain set lunch very soon.

Loved the setting and overall feel, fabulous food and friendly staff who clearly love their job. Only issue we had with the service was that the guest who didn't order a dessert wasn't offered an amuse bouche either. Do understand this is part of the order but it felt as if that person was being completely excluded from the dining experience! It would have been enough just to ask, "Would you like one too?" However, this was the only negative in what was otherwise a very positive experience. It won't stop us returning!

Enjoyed a very nice evening with good food and wine and incredible service, the restaurant is full of character and the staff were very knowledgeable and first class. This was our first visit but will certainly not be our last. Thank you for providing my wife with the perfect birthday (To Dan, my daughter loved her buttered roll and to Lauren I hope you had an equally enjoyable evening on your birthday).

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Beaconsfield! From the moment we arrived we were totally spoilt by the super friendly and attentive staff. The food is on another level and exceeded all our expectations. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back soon!

Lovely people, so accommodating and polite. Great and informative service Attractive building and set out inside. Three of us had main course Poached Torbay Sole, and agreed it was insipid. Everything else was fabulous. Nothing will deter us from revisiting. NOTE: market day during Tuesday's in the car park opposite, so parking not so easy.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch at The Greyhound. The food and the wine pairing suggestions were excellent. The staff are fantastic! Very knowledgeable and just the right amount of friendliness and attention. My friend’s birthday was acknowledged in an understated way ( no singing Happy Birthday!) and we really enjoyed the whole ambience of the restaurant. It’s a little pricey for me on a regular basis but definitely worth a treat on special occasions. I can highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

The whole experience was very special. The service was impressive and the food was outstanding. The extras included was unexpected but just added to the whole experience. This was my 2nd visit and both times, it exceeded my expectations. Value for money - absolutely. Can’t wait to go again

Lovely food, the staff couldn't do enough and were so helpful. My only negative, was we had the tasting menu and the first few dishes were so chilled that the flavours were lost. I know it is hard to get the temperatures right without the risk of contamination, so this is just an observation

Very good ambience for our dinner for 4 in a very busy restaurant. Service very good. Food was very good. Sirloin steak is 2 pieces from the "best cut" but looked disappointing on the plate, tasted OK. £100 per head for 3 courses and only I bottle of wine.
