The Infinity Restaurant
Basically over a hote pool which kinda ruins the ambiance. Food was nothing special.
We went for the breakfast buffet at 10:15 and the flavor was good but everything was cold.
We are staying at the hotel and it’s a lovely option for lunch and dinner both!
We dined on valentine's night and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Everything from the Amuse Bouche to the dessert was amazing.
However, when it comes to the service there is lots of room for improvement. Although valentine's night was understandably busy, our waitress hardly checked on us and passed our table several times without so much as a , "Thank you for dining with us...." , "Can I offer you more....while you wait?", "We do appreciate your patience...." etc. Additionally, we were referred to as 'guys' by our waitress throughout the few encounters with her although we were obviously two ladies. Kudos to Curtis for jumping in and finishing off our service. He's amazing.
We will dine there again as we love the food and the Infinity experience just that staff needs a little bit more training in following up with guests and filling the gap during an extended period of wait.
Myself and 7 friends had dinner at Infinity February 14th 2020. We had booked several weeks earlier as it is one if the few restaurants that survived hurricane Irma close to our timeshare at Dawn Beach. The prix fixed menu looked great for the evening and we asked for a table with a view for 7:15. We arrived to find a nice table by the window and live entertainment which was very nice. The problem was the service. When the food started coming one person was missed. His came 10 minutes after we were finished. The entrees came almost an hour after the first group finished their appetizers. No one came to check, we couldn't find a server to order any more drinks, and dessert came as we were trying to pay and leave at the desk. Tables around us left before they got their food, one saying they were going home to order pizza.i overheard the table beside us being told half of the entree choices were no longer available. They were obviously grossly under staffed in the kitchen and in the dining room and were not prepared for valentines day. Very disappointing.
Limited menu, rude server & had to go somewhere else
Very understaffed. Long wait for drinks and service, otherwise good with nice outdoor seating by the pool.
We went on Italian night. Eggplant rolls portion was small, flavor was blah. Lasagna portion was large, with good flavor. Service was still slow, but not as slow as it was 2 years ago when we visited. Overpriced as is much of the island so value is not good.
We stayed at the Oyster Bay Resort that this Infinity restaurant was located.
Some of the servers had a sharp “edge” to them & were not always friendly during the several times we had dinner & breakfast here during our stay at the resort!
The service at times was very soo slow most of the times eating here & the 1st tonight we ate here, the server never even introduced himself nor came back to check on us, I shockingly had to flag down another server to get our check & ask for our 1st refill on drinks after waiting over 45 minutes. Talked to the manager Thea & she took off the “15% service fee” that is tacked onto the bill.
BUT...with having said all that, the food itself was AMAZING. I highly recommend the Chicken Lemon & whipped mashed potatoes!
Breakfast buffet was really good (scrambled eggs especially, which I like super fluffy!) & all their breakfast crepe’s were outstanding!
I especially became fond of a young local super nice 18 year old named Abel.. who refilled drinks, bused tables etc., He was SUCH a nice kid!
Waitress, Cindy was super friendly as well & always had a smile for us, but only came over occasionally to help out, since servers all seem to take turns during your meal, unlike in the states.
Other servers there sometimes had “a cold air” to them, which was disappointing! I suppose it maybe should be expected as far as customer service in the Caribbean, BUT to me, service is everything!
All in all, the food (plus, Cindy & Abel being kind :) would keep me coming back, if we are ever back in St. Maarten!
Thank for taking the time to share your experience. We will share your positive comment with our staff, hope to see you back soon. Ricardo Perez, General Manager
When I arrived, they said there was no record of a reservation thru open table. Despite this I was seated promptly in a fairly busy dining room at 2 pm. The menu was easy to read with lots of choices. Service was top notch!
We had a wonderful time. Food selection was on point. Diff will go back. Price is just right. Love the views from this restaurant.
Service and food was excellent. Will return next time come to St Maarten
OBBR owners since 2002, we brought our children and granddaughter for the first time to Sint Maarten. The staff at OBBR are second to none!
The "Brunch Manager" was excellent at service recovery but our party had an hour wait due to how busy the restaurant was this was due to our reservation not being in the system even though a confirmation email was received. I was excited to use your app which is user friendly but disappointed by the end result, there was another party that had the same problem. You need to ensure your app is reliable.
The experience was lovely. Food. Service. Drinks.....all top notch! Excellent variety. Top quality meal. Cooks at stations on point with delivery and personality. Head chef always checking on buffet, replacing items immediately. Was always visible to guests.
The one thing that ruined the experience was the young lady at the desk...short hair and glasses, I think the name was Dahlia or Diana. Rude, stink attitude, definitely not the face you want for a restaurant of that caliber. I was ready to turn back after she spoke to me. It was my husband who convinced me to stay. I said Good Morning when I walked in and her response was "Yes?" No clue how to address guests. And she had a title of supervisor on her badge....not impressed.
The only problem I have is that I made reservation online more than one occasion and when we arrived they had no clue of our reservation. That is very poor service.
Very disappointing I’m afraid to say. We arrived Saturday night very excited having reviewed the menu; only to discover that Saturday night it’s buffet only. Service was average, food quality a bit less than that, and the noise level since the seating was in the atrium was quite noisy.
The staff were cheerful, friendly, and helpful. The food, however, was not very good. It was “Italian” night, and so perhaps we did not get the best the restaurant had to offer. Of the things we ate, the best offering was the Caprese salad, although the tomatoes were a bit overripe. This is the kind of food you’d expect at an awards banquet at a local Holiday Inn.
Very nice dinner-good food and great service!
We selected Infinity because the menu was diverse and interesting. When we arrived on Monday night, we were told that the menu items were not available and that there was a buffet or items from the snack bar menu available. The host said that they meant to contact us to let us know, but I never received a call or e-mail or text. We were disappointed. The food that was available was well prepared and very appetizing, just not what we expected from studying the menu beforehand. Recommend that the restaurant post a notice on the Open Table site that Monday nights might differ from regular service.
Good food, great ambiance, and wonderful people! The escargot are super and the beef carpaccio is so good!
Great tasting food, inexpensive, quiet and comfy restaurant.
Infinity Restaurant offers a wonderful Sunday Brunch, with lots of breakfast and lunch options. The omelet's are cooked to order and were cooked perfectly. There was a lovely roast beef, curry chicken, rice and peas, potato salad, deviled eggs, fruit salad, chocolate cake and much more! All served with fresh mimosas! The property is currently still renovating after Irma, but the restaurant was pristine! Air conditioned with beautiful views! I recommend.
Service was very poor. Choose this restaurant after i saw the menu online . Got another menu when we arrived. There was things on the menu that they did not have and we was told after we order. Was told this is a different menu for now. Why keep the old one online? Piece of cork in my wine. Bread was put on table without any utensil to use. Hardly finish our meal and was told if we need anything else because kitchen staff is leaving. This was minutes after nine. expected a lot more of this restaurant.
Despite accepting and confirming our reservation, the restaurant was closed. Very disappointing after much effort to find the place at night.
Although The Infinity Restaurant allowed Open Table to book a reservation of 4 for my family and me on Thursday, March 8, 2018, it turned out, after the 45 minute drive across almost all of the length of Sint Maarten, that the restaurant in fact was not open when we arrived and apparently opens only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. That seems to me to be recklessly false on their part and so speaks very ill of their attention to even the most basic detail.
Good food, great ambiance, quiet and courteous wait staff
