Beautifully restored mansion, a trip back to the gilded age. Food is excellent and staff is courteous and professional. Owners are on site and always hospitable. Highly recommend.

We had an excellent meal. The service was great. I would recommend it to any and all of my friends and family. The quiet peaceful atmosphere was just what my wife and I were looking for for our anniversary. You checked all of the boxes. We look forward to enjoying many meals in the future. Keep up the good work. Compliments to the kitchen and all the staff. Was nice not to feel rushed through our meal. You’re providing a dinning experience unlike any other we have experienced here in the NEK. Thanks to all.

Our meal at The Inn ad Burklyn was amazing! The food and wine were delicious, the building and location are unique and beautiful and the service was just right. We would highly recommend the Inn for a night out. We hope to stay over one night this winter, too!

The Inn at Burkelyn is a mansion that has been restored by the current owners. Ther are excellent views form almost every dining room, and the superb restaurant is definitely an added attraction. The menu had a good variety of options, and our dinners were prepared perfectly. The appetizers occupied the conversation until the entree arrived, and we discussed it until dessert arrived. I can easily say this was the best meal I have had in about a year. The dinner finished with a visit from the Chef and Sous Chef to ask how we enjoyed our meals. I won't hesitate to recommend the Inn at Burkelyn to anyone who asks.

Wonderful setting atop hill in beautiful neo classical mansion. Excellently prepared and presented cuisine. Menu very limited probably due to only 3 night a week that they're open for dinner. A little disappointed no gluten free bread or sports, even package wrapped for gluten intolerant people. Also no lactose free offering for lactose intolerant. At least one item on menu should be labeled gf and dairy free. E.g. mussels appetizer can be made in wine like Italians rather than in butter like French: a sorbet could be added for dairy intolerant to dessert menu.. Otherwise very good. Felt bad for my ladyfriend who is gluten and dairy intolerant.

We have been wanting to have dinner at Burklyn since it opened. We are only part timers and the timing never seemed to work. However, last night we finally were able to experience one of the nicest dinners ever! It was not only the food that was excellent but the atmosphere and staff made it so enjoyable! We also enjoyed the drink selection and with our waitresses' recommendation had two excellent choices! Meeting the owner at the end of the evening and being able to express our thanks for bringing back to life this gorgeous building was a great ending to our evening. We cannot wait to go back! This is literally one of the most beautiful spots on earth, so, dining, while looking out acrosss the Northeast Kingdom from the top of Darling Hill Road, is an incredible experience. We ate in Darlings, which used to be the billiards parlor, in days of yore. It is not in the main building, but is stunning as it's a cozy square room, with a fireplace, and windows on all four sides, so everyone in the room had a view of the spectacular sunset. It wasn't too quiet, and it wasn't loud. Just perfect to be able to have your own conversation without being drowned out by the noise of others. Everything we ate was fantastic. Just a really magical place to have an exceptional meal.

Another superb dinner at this charming venue! Winter menu had just begun — so of course needed to try it. Outstanding spicy tartare of beef followed by equally outstanding scallops. My companion had a delicious soup followed by excellent breast of duck. Our favourite place to dine in the Northeast Kingdom!

Everything was excellent from the panoramic views surrounding the Mansion to the cocktails and the appetizers, entrees and desserts. Although a limited menu there is something for everyone and each dish is well prepared and presented. Highly recommend for special and just "feel good" evenings to uplift your spirits.

Beautifully restored mansion from a private home into an inn and restaurant, wonderful nostalgic atmosphere. We went early for a drink on the porch overlooking stunning garden and mountain views. Owners and staff were very welcoming and the food was 5 stars. We had the scallops and the halibut, delicious! A bit pricey but worth it for the experience.

The Burklyn is a guaranteed great experience! The venue, the friendly staff, the views of the green mountains from every window, the patios and gardens, but mostly the absolutely incredible food make it a destination restaurant. They also have a great tapas bar in its own unique setting.

The food was delicious! I enjoyed the shrimp cocktail… which was cooked perfectly… as well as the halibut. The specialty cocktails were tasty.. especially the expresso martini. The service was top notch and we all enjoy the quiet ambiance. The grounds and gardens were beautiful. We were fortunate to have a clear Vermont evening which enhanced the Burklyn experience. We will certainly be back!!

We went for a special birthday dinner for two. The dining room was very grand and had luxurious seats and table settings. However, I was unaware there was no a.c., and this was a warm summer night. I did not dress properly and was SO hot all evening, there was also an abundance of flies circling the room, landing in food and glasses, not great. That being said, the food was amazing, and the service was wonderful!

Outstanding. Food was first class and cooked to perfection. Having recently spent a fortune at several supposed top restaurants that served mediocre overpriced food, I was very excited to get my money's worth and more at The Inn at Burklyn. Kudos to the chef and the owners. This place is a feast for the palate as well as the eye. Absolutely beautifully restored mansion with amazing food. Thank you for restoring my faith in a great dining experience. The liver mousse was to die for by the way. Just a heads up.

ABSOLUTELY amazing!! I asked for a specific room for my birthday, and I got it! And on top of that they made accommodations for me just because it was my birthday! The bartender was amazing at helping my friend and I figure out what mock-tails we should get, unfortunately I was turning 16, not 21. The food was amazing, I never found myself impatiently waiting, all the food was brought out at perfect times. There was a relaxing vibe and the service staff were attendant yet not overbearing in anyway. I strongly recommend the octopus to anyone who goes before they change the menu again, which is another great thing this restaurant has, no matter how many times you go there, there will always be a new delicious fully house made meal to try! Everything was perfect and I had my best birthday dinner ever! :D

Spectacular location and views on Darling Hill Road, among the most scenic in Vermont. Beautifully restored classic Georgian mansion, with each dining room tastefully appointed, intimate, and ideal for conversation. The cuisine is outstanding, in preparation, presentation, and taste. The halibut, Wagyu beef, and grilled octopus are personal favorites. Even the focaccia is made in house and was outstanding. The wine list is extensive, but there are excellent wines available by the glass as well. The service is attentive and very pleasant. This is classic dining at its best.
