You can't go wrong with The Inn! High quality, locally sourced ingredients cooked to perfection and an ambient vibe. The cocktails will knock your socks off and we love that they offer creative, non-alcoholic drink options too. The building itself is beautiful and the service is top notch! 10/10 recommend!!!

Blackened salmon over pesto spaghetti squash and Linguini with Shrimp and mussels both excellent, lots of garlic in the latter. Highlight was Caesar with crispy prosciutto

Charming inn with small dining areas and inventive food and cocktails. Excellent service and all quite unexpected in this small village. Next time, we will spend the night in the Inn, going back to the plain, rental condo at Jay was a let down.

My husband and I had an extremely positive experience at The INN and would highly recommend it. The ambiance was the perfect mix of classy and comfortable. There were many unique entrees on the menu, and the food was delicious. The chef also went above and beyond to accommodate the strict diet that I need to follow. His care and attention to my needs was the “frosting on the cake”.

Best meal we’ve had in VT over many years. Eclectic menu. Elk fabulous. Pork shank osso bucco on point. Duck latke appetizer so good. Quality of the desserts matched the main meal, which is a rarity. It ain’t cheap, but it’s well worth it.

Food was much better last summer Wanted halibut but no substitutions on couscous I am gf Thought the food was salty and portions small I asked for a dessert with a candle for a friends birthday That did not happen Server said we needed to order dessert Most places will stick a candle in a scoop of ice cream No charge Lobster roll was not all lobster … why corn? Perky, 99% of our menu is GF, this one dish is not. Your food was salty because you salted your food without tasting first. You asked for a free dessert, we do not offer free desserts, but are very happy to candle a dessert you order. You did not order a dessert. We pay for the ingredients to make our unique desserts; we cannot afford to give anything away. Our lobster roll is 100% lobster. You're leaving a 1-star review with false accusations because you are upset we don't provide free food.

We loved the place and the drink my husband had was very good. I personally was not feeling well had a bit of a food issue that day. I ordered the Filet but in all fairness I could not eat it and brought it home. The next day I was feeling better and it was great with some eggs. My husband had the special Chicken cutlet. He said it was OK. We will surely try this place again. The service was great.

Palate, Hopefully on your next visit we can get those last 2 stars. If your husband was disappointed or dissatisfied in anyway, we always want to make it right. We didn’t hear of any issues on that night. It is impossible to make it right behind keyboards. We hope you give us a shot at wowing you and your husband. We are glad that your dinner hit the spot as breakfast the next day.

Everything was wonderful. The inn keepers and the serving staff were excellent. Our waitress suggested a delicious wine that I normally would have overlooked. Our meal was spectacular! Words cant describe. We had the most amazing meal.

Overall, it was a great experience. My husband had the venison which had a lot of gristle. He mentioned it to the waitress and he only paid half. So they made it right. The restaurant is a cool, older house, well decorated. I would definitely recommend it.

We were thrilled and surprised the moment we walked through the door. The decor is so interesting and fun to look at during the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, with each course excellently prepared and pleasingly plated. Luckily for us, we live nearby! We will be back!

Caesar salads in most every restaurant are cut up, ours is different, like our entire menu, our Caesar is a wedge style salad; we will of course pass on your request to the chef. Thank you noticing our interesting menu, we strive to be completely different from most everyone else!

A great find in sleepy Montgomery Center. Excellent food, drinks and service. And a very cool building with a old time lounge to hang out.....looks like your grandparents living room, if they were hunters.

Best restaurant in the area. Many selections of entrees that you don't see very often. We really struggled of how to narrow the selection down, I ended up choosing the Kanagaroo steak, my wife chose a Scallop Risotto. Both delicious. Dessert was decadent. Chef Jason deserves kudos!

The food was disappointing. The veal chop was served mostly uncooked, rare is acceptable but raw mostly..not ok. The short rib pasta was unimpressive, the beef was cooked fine and the dish is hearty but the sauce was just not great. The rolls (bread at extra cost) were a chewy dough like consistency. The cesar salad had a mayo dressing instead of a bright garlic lemon parm taste one expects. Then the desserts were right out of the freezer at Price Chopper. And this meal was expensive so one expects higher quality. Come on Chef and Manager and Owner you can and should do better. The Inn is a cute little spot worth the drive if only the food matched the site. In addition, in such a small restaurant how nice it would be to be welcomed by the manager/owner during the meal. Lots you all can do to make this dining experience better for your guests. We are all just beginning to go out to eat and expect the experience to match the cost.... in all ways.

Hi Suzn. We're sorry you were disappointed in your food, the best thing to do is always tell us (or any restaurant) right away, instead of through a review- it's hard to address behind keyboards. We don't serve veal and certainly wouldn't serve it rare or raw. Our locally made squash rolls are not free, as we pay a farm to make them. Our chef/gm is cooking, so he's typically only available at the end of the evening. We hope you make the drive out to try us again, and give us feedback in person!

Enjoyed our dinner and sitting in their lounge in front of the wood stove before and after dinner. The chef was available to discuss the menu and staff went above and beyond to make the experience wonderful

Excellent service and lovely ambience. We had Kangaroo and lamb- both excellent. They have a great selection of craft beer and various wines. All the staff is double faced and boosted and the tables ar well spaced out . We love this place .
