The INN Restaurant
Choose between seating in the romantic fireplace dining room or in the lively pub and tavern. In the summer, dinner is also served on the outdoor deck. A full bar, carefully chosen wine list, specialty cocktails and draft beers all served by a fantastic staff complete the picture and add to the fun.
Love this place... amazing food and atmosphere....
The Inn is simply wonderful. We loved the food, wine, atmosphere, decor and the fabulous service with attention to detail.
Delicious food, great atmosphere. Only regret was not saving room for dessert!
The food and service are always excellent. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
A hidden gem. The rib eye was amazing. Ambiance was perfect for a date night. Definitely recommend!
Everything and everyone were great. Food exceptional, We only wished that Covid hadn’t interrupted our chance to enjoy the charm of the inside. Thank you
Lovely inn., Great atmosphere, food and service. Drinks are fantastic. So is the wine list - especially for the northeast kingdom. Apps and salads are wide-ranging and really well prepared. The Asian inspired apps are authentic. Experiment with a couple of each and you won’t need a main.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was intimate. All of the staff were conscious of covid guidelines and I felt very safe and social distanced from other patrons. I would return in a heartbeat.
One of the best experiences you can possibly have while visiting Vermont or if you’re local and looking for something different. Very tranquil indoor and outdoor setting. Amazing rotating chef created, made to order dishes and a wine selection that is way above par. Make sure you say hello to Portland, the groundskeeping dog as well!
Great experience, and great drinks! But food too salty. We went two nights in a row as we were staying nearby. Want to go back because everything else was great, but would love to ask the chef to salt the food a little less :)
Jean & I stayed at the Inn both Friday and Saturday nights and dined in. The food was outstanding and great value. Thank you Chef Jason who also served us a drink in the main living room. Nick is a spectacular host making you feel you are truly at home. Shawna and Dee Friday night were friendly and great company. Ashley and Cass on Saturday as well although the restaurant was busier on Sat. so less time to really chat. Would highly recommend for a relaxed yet gastronomical meal. We will be back!

Awesome experience!! Highly recommend, it was romantic, they didn't rush and offered for us to hang out and have a drink by the fireplace.
Great ambiance and excellent food. We had the poutine, Caesar salad, short ribs, steak frites and sticky fried chicken. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this place for dinner when skiing at jay peak.
What a great place. Outstanding food, wonderful wait staff, great ambiance, and the best Margaritas! If you ski Jay, you need to enjoy an evening at The Inn.
Amazing meal and great service
May eat there a second time in 3days
Outstanding food and service! Each of our dishes was delicious and there was a clear attention to detail in the presentation. We left very satisfied!
Super attentive staff, excellent surroundings, menu with so many yummy choices it was hard to choose. We has a small plate of lobster risotto as an appetizer because I wanted to try it but also wanted beef.....we had the rib eye and the braised beef .....both were excellent and bountiful.....not inexpensive but great value for what you got.
We were given our choice of indoor our outdoor seating. We selected outside on the deck and it was lovely. The service was great; friendly but not intrusive. The pork lettuce cup appetizers were our favorite item- full of flavor and great texture. The salmon on a bed of pesto spaghetti squash was very good, but a bit salty for our taste. Perhaps due to the blackening rub. Still a good choice. We will be back next time we are in the area.
We had a wonderful dinner. The staff was very friendly and very accomodating to our tastes. It was a quiet place where we could enjoy our conversation and feel relaxed. Thanks 1
We had amazing food and wonderful cocktails. It was a perfect anniversary dinner.
A really nice surprise in a remote ski town. Great food, outstanding margaritas, good service. If you ski Jay Peak, you have to try it!
We took a deserving friend out to a great dinner at The Inn. Great martinis and entrees. I could not pass up desert when I read the offerings!
We recently went to the INN while staying at Jay. Everything from the drinks to dessert was spot on with great hospitality.
Visited during presidents week. Normally I don’t think the inn is open on Wednesday nights. Upon arrival the staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed. Everyone was very inviting and kind, but seemed a bit frazzled. The place is very nice and relaxing. Staff was very friendly. My wife and I each ordered the special, which was a ravioli. Sauce and pasta were both well prepared. Entire evening was very nice. Food was above average and prices were very fair. Overall, nice romantic experience.
The Inn is beautiful, the ambiance is lovely, and the owner is very kind and welcoming. But from the moment we arrived we were told how “backed up and busy” the kitchen gets and there was only one other table seated in our room and maybe 3 or 4 in an adjacent room. It was Valentines Day and we weren’t overwhelmed with the menu options. We waited a while for our appetizers which were pretty good. I got oysters (only 3, hmmm, couldn’t spare the other half?) and my husband got meatballs, a much more generous portion. Then we waited forever for our entrees, our waitress disappeared, we were never offered bread which the table next to us was. When our entrees finally came my husband’s “risotto” was completely undercooked and had to go back. My ravioli were decent but the smoked mozzarella was not very smoky, I couldn’t tell it was smoked at all. When my husband’s risotto came back it was cooked, but it wasn’t risotto. It was a flavorful rice. Our desserts were fine but by that point we were ready to go. I would go back to try it again on a full menu day for the ambiance alone which was lovely. But I think they really need a new chef. If they get that backed up when they are less than half full and good comes out undercooked, there’s a problem in the kitchen.
Amazing cocktails and delicious food in the coziest space.
Loved the thoughtful and inventive menu and great service!
Food was amazing! Drinks especially! Will definitely go again
Great food, beautifully presented! Love this place for dinner!
Excellent food, beautifully presented and reasonably priced.
Food was great. Service was awesome. Wonderful atmosphere. I would go back anytime and highly recommend !
During our yearly summer visit to Jay, dinner at The INN is our favorite and a must on our list. Looking forward to next year.
Great inn and restaurant. We enjoyed a cocktail in the incredibly relaxing and welcoming great room, and dined in the lovely appointed dining room. Food and service were both great. The Inn is both a wonderful place to both dine and stay, a gem in the woods of northern Vermont.
Absolutely perfect! Couldn't be better food, service, and ambiance. Perfect meal before a pow day!
