   It was a real experience. It’s beautiful and your senses are overwhelmed. But the afternoon tea although very visually impressive with dry ice was too weighted towards the sweet and not enough savoury. Too rich for me. Needed some more savoury.

   Food really was excellent and I loved the atmosphere, decoration and style of the restaurant. However the experience was let down by the service, which started off well but then became almost non existent by the end. It took an age to get extra drinks ordered and we just couldn’t find anyone looking in our direction or checking our table, particularly to deal with the bill. I don’t make a habit of taking off the service charge but on this occasion we did and although we did leave a tip the service didn’t warrant 13.5% Thank you

   We had a 4pm reservation yesterday. Our table was ready approximately 10 mins late but at no time did we get told the time we then needed to vacate it. Tom our waiter served until he advised there was a change of shift. In hindsight "Natasha" (I think) with frustration placed the dessert spoons on the table then same with the desserts. At no time did they forewarn us that as they were overrunning that they needed the table back and ask us to pay the bill while we were finishing up as a polite reminder, which we obviously would have done. We hadn't finished our desserts yet she proceeded to clear the table telling us they needed the table and would issue the bill. My friend held on to hers and spoon to finish it as it was half full seemingly to the annoyance of the waitress. She then brought us the wrong bill so further added to the delay in us vacating the table. Begrudgingly we paid the £19 discretionary service charge due to the rush however her handling of the situation was in no way appropriate service. The rest of the time was lovely however we felt a manager, Tom or "Natasha" could have simply advised us in advance of what was needed.

   Lovely first visit, very good front of house experience. Beautiful decor throughout. Food was very nice, not so impressed with the chicken skewers, processed texture although sauce with them was delicious. Lovely cocktail and very good white wine although, the wine was not cheap. Service overall very good, other than having to ask for more water a few times and waiting a long time for the wine to come.

    Absolutely phenomenal experience. Fast service even though busy. Manager came to talk to us. We were made to feel so special. With compliments to all staff and the chef. Food was delicious. Oh and last but not least the decor is a sensory overload. We will definitely be back very soon.

    Our waiter Oli was great, nothing was too much trouble he had great recommendations, constantly checked if our meals were good and if we needed anything, he even gave my husband reading glasses to use as he couldn’t read the menu. The music was fab and the ambiance was amazing . We will return without a doubt, thanks to everyone, from the chefs, waiters, waiters who work in the kitchens, bar staff and reception team and of course the in house DJ.

    Incredible food and drinks but let down by the service, especially as a 13.5% tip was added to the bill. We struggled to get another drink or servers to the table. Also they didn't offer anything for a special occasion.

    Food was excellent and presented beautifully. All made to high standard and very busy. The restaurant itself is extremely well designed including the bathrooms (watchout for the samurai in the mens). Music was little too loud,but this is really a minor issue.

    We booked a table of 7 to celebrate my sons 21st birthday as a family. Food was fantastic and the service faultless. We have some picky eaters but everyone was able to select several options. It is an experience, and as such it is expensive, but most definitely worth it. Have to make a special mention to our waiter, Ollie, as he was accommodating and humorous. Definitely took the experience to the next level. A true credit to the Ivy Asia!

    The food was good, however the service was a bit too much in our faces, the waiter/waitress kept coming asking if everything was fine, also they couldn't wait for us to leave, we decided not to have dessert as we could see they were in a hurry for us to leave the table, they were polite but we felt a lot of pressure to eat and leave! And it was a Tuesday night! Never-ending, I will go back for the food but hopefully next time we won't be hush to leave.

    We had the absolute best afternoon tea with champagne at the Ivy Asia. It was superb. The food was exquisite; beautifully presented; so different; very tasty. We would highly recommend for a special treat. We are going to book an evening meal very soon.

    This is our second time to Ivy Asia for a birthday celebrations and I must we were a bit disappointed with the whole experience. Positives - lovely cocktails and mocktails , beautiful ambience , polite staff , But the seating was extremely snug .. we were only 4 of us and there was hardly any space on the table for the food plus we were very close to the other table . Food - was good …but could have been served in time and all together. My son’s main meal was served first while the rest of us waited for almost 30mts for the rest of our food to arrive .

    All very good but the plain noodles where not really exciting! A couple of bean sprouts and spring onions would have been good! Didn’t order the spicy noodles as I don’t do spicy but didn’t expect hospital noodles instead. Have a better and wider noodles and rice sides selection

    All I got to say is amazing, came for my girlfriends’ birthday everyone was so welcoming and pleasant. The food was outstanding only ever waited 10 seconds if we needed anything. 100% recommend and will be returning

    Staff were excellent, food amazing as always, one minor issue (and it really is only minor!) is that this is the 5th time I have dined at the Cardiff restaurant and it always takes an eternity to pay the bill. It is almost like the staff do not want you to leave 😀

    Booked Ivy Aisa for my daughter and her 3 friends for afternoon tea as a 16th birthday treat. The girls were asked if they would like some water , told it was free. And then charged for a bottle of water. Being only 16 and shy, they didn’t feel they could say anything to the serving staff as most of whom kept a very watchful eye on the girls and made them feel uncomfortable through their visit. I’m guessing it was because of their age.
