   Being a Sunday you would expect a Roast, but there was none. On ordering a steak I found that there was only chunky chips, which I do not like, on asking if there were French fries I was advised no, also on asking for new potatoes I was advised mash only. This was our first visit to The Ivy, I found the whole experience not up to the standard I would expect, particularly considering the prices charged. Our meals were fine but we have had the same quality elsewhere for a lot cheaper price. Overall an acceptable experience but not exceptional. The waitress was friendly and helpful.

   As always were we’re seated promptly and with a courteous manner. Drinks and food service and quality a spot on - lovely relaxing afternoon. We will return to try the terrace and afternoon tea which we haven’t yet tried 🤗

   The place was really nice, the ambience was perfect. The service was a bit slow and we had to ask the waitress a few time for things, like removing the empty plates and glases to make space. They were all very busy and for that reason they left us a bit alone. All the rest was great! My guests notices the food porcions were too small, but very tasty. I personally would love to come back.

   The service was outstanding, and food beautiful. We were lucky enough to sit on the terrace which was blissful on a sunny day. It’s difficult to believe Taft you are in the centre of Bath, with all the greenery on the roof top terrace. Will return soon John and Julia

    Very pleasant, staff could not do enough until it came to the end of our meal and I felt that we were rushed to then settle up and leave. The food was delicious and the right portion size.

    Lovely lunch here with friends catching up after 10+ years of not seeing each other since school. Food was lovely, the lunch deal was good value. Only downside was we were prompted to give our table up after two hours even though there were loads of empty tables :(

    Gets by on it's name. Nothing to write home about. Menu sounded great and the scallops were really good, everything else was just "ok". Expected more from the flavours. Staff were really lovely, but delivered first cocktail wrong and second one not at all! Noticed after a good 25 minutes and then brought it. For the money and reputation I expected much more and we came for a celebration treat. Overall disappointed. If it was a regular wetherspoons it would've scored as a good one, but Def doesn't live up to rep.

    Our breakfast at The Ivy was amazing. My friend had poached eggs with avocado, I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon - followed by breakfast pastries and preserves to share. Coffee and cream was an absolute delight. It was our first experience of breakfast at The Ivy and will be making a return visit very soon.

    Last night in Bath so fancied eating somewhere different from the hotel restaurant where we were staying so plumped for the Ivy in Bath. The whole experience was marvellous!     Visited for afternoon tea. Beautiful presentation! Was a little disappointed that there was no decaff tea on offer and I also the vegan substitutes were not of the same value.

    The dessert items on the menu that we wanted weren't available ( they were our reason for going to enjoy a favourite treat!). We ordered them at the start of the meal and we weren't informed, only at a much later point. The service at the start of the meal was great but changed with a change in staff. So we abandoned dessert completely and then ate our dessert in another establishment ( who were great ) ! Far from ideal . It's my third less than perfect visit here in a row.

    Overall was a good experience apart from we ordered starters and the starter came out with our mains. Our starter was sourdough so we had a full loaf to eat with my steak. We told the waitress we wanted the sourdough for starters. Having it with our main spoilt it and felt like we were rushed as a result.

    First visit to The Ivy chain, must admit I had higher expectations for the food. I have dined at many high quality restaurants and was keen to try out The Ivy however my experience wasn't what I would have expected especially for the price, i have a Michelin star restaurant local to me me that is cheaper and much higher quality. My scallop rissoto tasted identical to rice pudding which wasnt great, my wife enjoyed her curry but also agreed that the same quality could be found elsewhere for much less money. It seems The Ivy trade on a reputation that once was but not anymore but still charge the earth. Couldn't fault the service or restaurant itself but sadly will not be visiting again.

    Great food at a fair price. Service was excellent and location and ambiance very good. Only negative cost of soft drinks, £3.75 for a soda water, really! Overall though great night out.

    Used a gift voucher for afternoon tea. Glad we didn’t pay the £29 EACH for 3 finger sandwiches and a small pot of tea. Minimal sized scones and amount of cream and jam. On the plus side the red velvet cupcake each were lovely. As was the choc mousse with popping candy. Still not worth the money NOR THE ASSUMED 12% SERVICE CHARGE. Always makes it a difficult conversation to have it removed. Not great.

    We have now been to several ivy restaurants And to be honest Yesterday in bath wasn’t the best ! No atmosphere , staff looked tired! The floor was filthy and for £80 for tea was expensive for what we had. Two glasses of champagne which were poured without us seeing, so this could well have been Prosecco, maybe would have been nice to have been asked if we would like any more! Tea, no decaf tea ! Only fruit tea, which I do not drink, the first pot I had 3 cups from the second only 1 and a dribble. There was also a hen day group sat near us and they waited for over 10 mins for the bill to arrive as soon as it do the waitress was asking for payment We had no goodbye, Thankyou for coming, on arrival No “ how has your day been” Name! Picked up the menu and that what it This was a gift and because it was also a our anniversary we thought let’s make it a special event! We could have been in a Tesco cafe having tea and cake, and yes, decaf !

    This was our second visit to the Ivy in Bath. We found that everything was amazing like the first time we was there. We could not fault the food the staff or the restaurant itself. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. It was a fabulous treat on my birthday. Many thanks to all of the amazing staff for making our visit feel special.

    Would HIGHLY RECCOMEND the ivy for afternoon tea....nothing was to much trouble...the tea and cakes were amazing light and fluffy cakes and sandwiches were fresh not over powering in flavour...just right.
