The Ivy Tower Bridge

Food was gorgeous. Duck curry was one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. Service was excellent. We loved the flambe of the apple tart, great touch.
Been to the Ivy in Brighton and this place is just as lovely. Such friendly attentive staff which makes such a difference. The service was swift, no pressure to finish and go and the food was beautiful. Do try the duck starter and the smoked salmon starter, good sized portions, then i would really recommend the salmon with broccoli and cream plus the fish cakes with beautiful chunky chips. Unfortunately there was no room for the desserts which was a shame but do also try some cocktails. Looking forward to eating here again. Lovely staff and lovely food, made for a lovely lunch.
Very lovely welcome and helpful reception.
Was given an excellent table in the window overlooking Tower Bridge.
Attention to detail was very good - a treat brought to the table for my husband's birthday was a nice touch.
Price was what I expected.
Excellent food and service once at table but when we went in we did not find the two girls on reception very professional and on going outside they were skateboarding in the foyer.asked for an ashtray a few times but they had none available!
Always a safe choice to meet with friends, guaranteed good food and service and in a lovely location.
Great location overlooking Tower Bridge and luxury setting. Food was great.
Lovely supper, great food, great wine, great service, thoroughly enjoyable
I've been to a few Ivy's and this one is as good as the others and a great location!!
We had an amazing evening! The food was to die for, the location is perfect and the staff went out of their way to make our evening one to remember! We absolutely loved our evening and will certainly be back next time we are in London!
A truly awful, horrendous and expensive evening.
This restaurant is best avoided.
As always a superb meal at the Ivy Tower Bridge. Good food, warm inviting sarroundings and an excellent view..... perfect.
Poor selection of gluten-free food, small portions and bad service.
The Ivy is an amazing restaurant and bar. Whenever I attend their service is outstanding and I will continue to dine their.
The Ivy at Tower Bridge is in an superb location and offers excellent food and wines. The making of rhe restaurant are the staff who look after each table with care and consideration.
Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.
we were well looked after from the moment we arrived. service and food were very good and the atmosphere/ambiance made the whole experience memorable.
Good quality well-cooked food in elegant surroundings at really reasonable prices. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast before heading off to go up the inside of Tower Bridge.
Website and menu state a pre theatre fixed price menu is available until 6.30pm. However arriving at 5.54 we were told it was not being served.
My 5th or 6th visit to Ivy Tower Bridge - consistently good & never tire of the location & views
Think it’s very good value for money
First time for us for my husbands 50th, really enjoyed it :)
Perfect place for a casual lunch!
I have been to several Ivy restaurants and each of them have provided such excellent service. However, i was really disappointed on Friday, especially given the amount of money spent.
From start to finish the service was excellent and the food was tremendously good thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Had a mixed experience and left feeling underwhelmed. All appeared fine on arrival. Tables adorned with tablecloths (except ours - my first disappointment), however it was clearly far too small to accommodate two people comfortably, and we had to continually rearrange to make space for drinks etc. ending up using the floor to place the serving plates. We were also adjacent to an external door used by the smokers that provided the occasional unwelcome icy breeze.
The waiters were very friendly and attentive,
We ordered our drinks, starters and Mains which all arrived in a timely fashion. I chose the Lobster Risotto as a starter, and my wife the Duck Parfait, both of these dishes were excellent.
For the main course I had a Sirloin Steak which again was excellent, however there was a large content of gristle (not fat - Gristle (the kind that you cannot saw with a serrated knife without it bouncing across the plate)). My wife chose the Cottage Pie which she was very good. The main problem that we had was that the side dishes were not 'hot', they were somewhere between warm and hot, and the serving plates were only luke warm, as we ate the sides became cold.
On completion of the Main Course we asked for 2 Ice Creams for desert, we were also asked if we would like Coffees or Teas. We naturally assumed that these would arrive after we'd finished the desert, but they actually arrived a few minutes before, this caused a dilemma for us regarding our choice of what to tackle first, and we decided on the Ice cream, and of course this meant that the Teas and Coffees had cooled down making them unpleasant to drink when we got around to it.
This all came to around £150:00 - I would have been happy with this if the issues above had not occurred, but sadly I left with the "That wasn't worth it" feeling and I am unlikely to return.
Lovely meal to celebrate a Birthday. Most places on 2nd Jan are empty with no atmosphere, however, Ivy Tower Bridge was busy with a good buzz. Wonderful setting looking into Tower Bridge. Waitress was brilliant and so attentive without being in our face. Lovely food, Pumpkin soup was delicious , sole, steak, burgers and chips went down well with our party and Birthday girl was given a little cake with a candle, lovely touch. Would recommend for families, couples and pre-theatre.
Service was really poor although there were a lot of staff around and it wasn't that busy when we arrived. Had to go and ask to order drinks which then took approx 15 mins to come, had to go and ask for the 'before 6.30' menu although we were given the main menu, had to ask them to come and take our order. One glass of red wine never materialised. Altogether very disappointing. However, fishcakes v good, cod v good but 'prawns with squid' should be 'squid with prawns' and creamed spinach was a cold mush with some hot cooked fresh spinach on top. Not good. Allowed 2 hours for our meal before theatre but service so slow we had to forego desert and coffee.
I came with my grand daughter after the theatre and we had a lovely time. Good food and great service with lovely waiter but it got busy and it was very slow at the end and I ordered a coffee which didn’t appear
Very enjoyable as always, lovely staff and great food, varied menu suitable for all tastes and ages.
We had to wait a long time for our main courses which arrived lukewarm. Due to long wait we had no time for a dessert as we were due at the theatre. The staff were excellent and took the cost of 1 main dish off, which whilst appreciated did not make up for the disappointment of a poor wedding anniversary meal.
Love the Ivy - just needed the lighting turning up a notch, it was all a bit dark
the staff are always amazing, and one of the best breakfast spots in the area
Fabulous atmosphere and the staff were amazing. We had 3 teenagers with us and they made them feel just as valued. The teenagers were impressed too which is unusual
Food was outstanding and good value too. The chocolate bomb pudding was delicious
Excellent New Years Eve supper up above the crowds and overlooking Tower bridge - the entire experience was professional, enjoyable and worth recommending. Congratulations to the chef and team.
excellent service and top food ! Would highly recommend
Eating on the 31the december 2019 for the upcoming new year.
The food and the service was outstanding. One of the tables was extremely noisy, but the level of noise went down after they left.
Charming a great place for breakfast. The service was friendly and efficient the food delicious
Very nice, service was good and waiters we attentive . Lovely setting looking out at the London Bridge and Tower .
En vacances à Londres
Beau cadre, très bon service, cuisine correcte
Excellent food and service, Restaurant a little bit dark to read menu even with my glasses on. Wouldn't put me off any future visits.
I booked the table as an anniversary celebration in advance and requested a table by the window and a special anniversary dessert. The table was great although not a great view out the window and the dessert didn’t come I had to tell the waiter I arranged it which defeated the point in requesting one and wanting it to be a surprise. When we got there we had a drink at the bar before as our table wasn’t ready yet which was fine however the women showing us to our table didn’t speak to us or say anything. The bar area and drinks were the best part would only return to use the bar. You’d expect friendly chatty staff in a high end place like the ivy, this was not the case. Service was okay. Food was okay. Doubt I will be returning.
