The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Barrie
The atmosphere was great the reservation made it very quick and efficient. We enjoyed appetizers and a steak meal which was delicious with a very tasty dessert. The service was very thoughtful and warm. We would return to this establishment again.
The fiod and service were excellent. Staff is great.
The new venue is not private or intimate.
We both prefered the old location better then this location. Especially for a new build.
I think we will not go back to the Barrie location anymore.
New Keg opened just had to check it out.
Staff were very nice, food was awesome as usual, the prices are getting up there but you do get what you pay for!
Very nice new restaurant. We prefer a booth which they gave us with no problem. Excellent service and food.
Having been to the previous location my wife and I were looking forward to another birthday celebration at the new location.
Not only was the fist table they put us was stupid noisy but I can’t remember the last time I tried to eat a piece of meat as tough! I’ve had the sirloin oscar a few times before but I litterly could not cut this thing. WTF. Not only that; it’s described on the menu as coming with grilled asparagus but showed up with some slimy red pepper, and I think a couple of green beans. $40. Kicking myself now for not telling then what they could with this one.
Only saving grace on the whole deal was the very good service from server Chris D. Hence the 2 stars.
Obviously won’t be returning to this locAtion anytime soon.
Prime rib was to die for, and I definitely appreciated the free Billie Miner Pie for my birthday!
First time we visited the new Keg, it was extremely busy and we did not have a reservation.
We prepared better this time and booked.
The food was fabulous.
The server Dave was fabulous.
Thank you so much.

Server was excellent. Made a wonderful wine recommendation as well. Food was excellent. Especially enjoyed the new roma tomato appetizer. The whole evening was everything I hoped for to celebrate my wife's birthday.
John was the perfect server food was tasty hot and on point never disappointed at the Keg was our e5th anniversary and the Billy Miner Pie was the best ever. Hubby said time to come to the Keg more often we will!!!!!!
It was very loud
very nice room, excellent service and food, as usual. I'v never been disappointed at The Keg!
We were seated in the lounge, very uncomfortable seats. This ended up ruining the whole experience of a special occasion. The steak teriyaki was delicious. Chicken and ribs, well the ribs were so so. The miner pie was amazing.
We went for our anniversary and were pleased as we always are. Food is consistently great and we were pleasantly surprised by the speed of service as well. Though the restaurant is on the noisy side, I have found Keg restaurants usually are.
Great service and great food. Very family friendly
Our waitress was extremely nice and the service was fast and everything tasted amazing.
Prime rib was disappointing—more than normal amount of fat needing to cut away.
Music was loud and not enjoyable.
Table was awkward for seating—semi circular booth.
Wanted to keep the bread but cleared away quickly.
Always delicious and fantastic service! Our waiter was very attentive and the ambiance is cozy.
Michelle our server was amazing, we always enjoy our dining experience at the keg!! Thank you
Great service and a nicer open concept setting. Looking forward to sitting at the bar as well for some appetizers.
The ambience and the interior were amazing. Seating was prompt with our Open table reservation and the server was sharp, intelligent and knew her profession well. Our steak was wonderful but our companions thought it was a bit too cordy and mentioned it to the server. To our surprise the night manager came over and apologised and comped their Keg Classic meal! They have been to the Keg many times and love the food and service and this was just an anomaly . Highly recommend this place to our friends.
We had the prime rib and pepper steak. Both were excellent as was the service. Will be back!
It was my husband's 65 th birthday and it was a very special occasion. Our waitress kristina (I think) was very pleasant and outgoing and seemed to really enjoy her job which is nice to see. The food was outstanding and presented in a nice manner. The new location is quite lovely, much easier to get in and out of for parking. the atmosphere was great and the decor was very modern and lovely. The complimentary Billy Miner's pie was delicious and a nice surprise for his birthday. Kristina explained to him why the pie was named Billy Miner as best she could and now my husband is going to google him and get the rest of the story. We were taken in immediately upon arrival which is a must in our books if you have a reservation. Our drink order was taken quickly and then we were given amble time to settle in and look at the menu without being rushed. The menu had numerous options which is nice in case you do not want to just eat steak. Any questions we had about the menu were answered to our satisfaction. As mentioned above the food was outstanding and we were not rushed or even felt rushed. Over all our experience was very pleasant. We would definitely return again and have told our friends how nice the new location in Barrie is and how nice all the staff were from the front desk girl, to our server, to the bus person.
The Keg never fails to deliver a great meal. Our server Corey was terrific and efficient. The drawback to the Keg is it is not very intimate and we were celebrating our anniversary so might have chosen some where with a little more ambiance. We did note this when we booked but I dont know if there is a romantic spot in the restaurant. The service was quick and so was the bill, there was a bit of a vibe that discouraged lingering conversation, understandable I guess when you know there are many diners waiting to be seated. Again, great food is never a problem at the Keg
Our Sever (table 22 at 8 30) was exceptional. The new location is a nice improvement over the Dunlop location. Parking was always an issue. We will be returning on a regular basis.
Really enjoyed the new keg the seating at tables more room and service was excellent will be back
We were at the new Keg for the 1st time since it opened, celebrating our anniversary. It didn't disappoint me, food was excellent, service excellent, will be back for sure.
Service was good , we had a one of our meals returned back because it was not cooked as requested ,
took a few minutes to get it back .
The vegetables were hard. They made some more but they arrived after my dinner was done and the plate cleared away. The manager comped my meal and the service was good. This was not a usual occurrence. We love the Keg and go there often.
Food was great but ridiculously expensive. I would not go back.
We had a great experience. My husband and I were out to celebrate for our 8th anniversary. We brought our 5 year old daughter with us.
The service was amazing. We had a reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived.
The server John was great with us and our daughter.
We will definitely be going back to this location.
It was my birthday celebration
The food was excellent
Our servicer, Alexis was superb
Overall great time
Only beef is that the entrees came out too quickly. Had only finished about half of our salad.
We enjoyed out visit.
We will definitely come back. Paragraph our server Christina was terrific to help us navigate the menu and was very attentive. Are only comment was felt the butter lacked flavour .
Was a great time everything was absolutely delicious service was great
Great food and service as always experienced at the Keg in BARRIE!!
we love the keg and this was our first visit to the new one, first of all very dark when you walk in not inviting at all,had a reservation but some lady very abrupt long blond hair ,I assumed she was maybe a manager or something was trying to push people to the bar, when my husband told her we had reservtions she still said she could seat us faster, plus there was a man in a suit I assume he did the same thing was not people friendly either, but our waitress made up for the rudeness of the two of them , not sure if we will go back very loud and not very romantic for a 200 dollar meal
Excellent prime rib! Chris was a very good host, as well!
When celebrating special occasions, birthdays/anniversaries, we always seem to find ourselves dining at the Keg. Over the years we have made several visits to the restaurant and have never been able to fault anything, with the exception of the music, (if you want to call it that), especially at the new Barrie location. My personal feeling is that when I am out 'fine dining' I would like to do so in a quieter atmosphere with very 'easy listening' type of music in the background, not music that borders on nothing more than a 'racket' at times. My husband who has a bit of a hearing problem, uses hearing aids, and unfortunately because of the 'energetic' noise level and the music blaring, it was not easy to carry on a conversation without almost having to shout across the table. I did not want people around us to hear what we were talking about, so our dinner was spent in what you might call 'companionable silence'. We will more than likely be visiting the Keg again, and it would be so nice to note that someone listened to our 'complaint' about the music and made some changes, and that these 'reviews' are not just something that get tossed aside.
