   The only issue I had was I asked for medium rare and I would say it was almost well done. But overall we were very happy with everything including the table. I requested a round table and we got it and that way we could all chat. But Waiter was great brought extra bread for girls and kept filling up glasses. All went very well. I did not mention my streak was overly done so our waiter was not aware of the issue I had. We were celebrating our brothers 80 birthday unfortunately he is deceased. But felt we had to honor him as he loved the keg. Nora Picard

   We had a number of appys instead of entrees...they were all very delicious. MacKenzie was excellent at attending to our needs and starting our evening of fun while visiting in Halifax. We will be back. :) Thank you

   Keg is a great spot with great food. On this particular visit there was confusion over the pricing with adding chicken to a Cesar salad when the pricing isn’t indicated on their menu. They wanted to charge $18 for a chicken breast on top of the $12 for the salad which is way overpriced. Thankfully the manager sorted things out for us. Just a reminder to make sure you clear payment expectations with server when ordering additional items that are not indicated on their menu.

    As per usual the food was absolutely fantastic. The steak was incredible and cooked to perfection. The portions of not only the starter salad and the sides are so generous and well worth the price.

    Have to be honest, I have been a customer of the Keg's for a long time coming from Toronto. I found the ambience, very dark, seats were not comfortable to my usual expectations. Food was okay, nothing more, in fact I did not finish my prime rib. Server was great, great to engage with, so that was the best part and my cousin joining me for dinner of course. There seems to be a culture of I don't care amongst businesses now days towards the consumer, I think the keg is following suit. Overall, music was to loud, space was too dark, food was okay. The conversation with my cousin upon leaving went like this, "why was our booth so dark when the keg has these massive windows?" Thanks for your time

    Upon arriving we were happily greeted and hostess acknowledged it was our 51st wedding anniversary. Our table was a great spot. Our waiter Luke was amazing. Appetizers shrimp and onion soup, our meal prime rib roast, with trimmings. All was so good!! And shared a billy miner for desert. What a great and special night for my husband and I.     Prices have gone up everywhere. They have gone up at the Keg a huge amount. Although the food and the service is always perfect, it's a little expensive as far as I'm concerned.

    The venue and service is excellent . We were disappointed in the steaks. They were far from tender which was quite a surprise especially done med rare. The taste was very good. Being a steak house we thought they would be outstanding but not the case. Get better ones just about anywhere.

    One can never go wrong with ordering off the Keg Classic menu...specifically the filet mignon which was done to perfection...along with the twice baked potato and Caesar salad. Delish! Chris, our server was a delight too!

    Our bi-annual meal at the Keg never disappoints. Pistachio encrusted salon with brussel sprouts was excellent and if you have the Billy Miner pie make sure to ask for an extra spoon!

    Our server was lovely, very welcoming and knowledgeable; funny and respectful. The restaurant was chilly (unable to wear something without sleeves comfortably) and the music was a bit loud for the dining side. To no fault of the restaurant I do wish there was a dress code (maybe for special occasions only) but its so disheartening to get dressed up for a special occasion to have others around you in sweat pants

    Service was great but had to send my dish back twice. It was blackened chicken with garlic potatoes. The chicken was ok, kind of bland, only the sauce had flavor. The problem was with the mashed potatoes, it had some black lumps you find on potatoes, the size of a walnut. this happened twice in a row, I guess I was lucky in a bad way. The other veggies on the sides were bland, unseasoned and barely cooked zucchini and red peppers, just thrown on the grill for a few minutes. I not sure was was the point outside of adding color to the plate. All that for $33... at best there was no more than $4-$5 worth of ingredients on the plate. Anyone at home with basic cooking skills can do better than this dish. The appetizers were good and good value for money. The rest of our main dishes were ok, classic cheeseburger and fries with generous portions but kind of pricey for what you get. Overall, the meal was ok but the value is not there, our server was kind and professional which help to redeem the unacceptable chicken dish. Think twice before spending all your dollars at the keg.

    Our second visit at this location! Food is excellent! Service is excellent! Location is great, right in the middle of Halifax's waterfront! Only one complaint, parking is difficult to find.

    Franco our server was excellent….very attentive , friendly but not annoyingly so, .my niece is challenged and it was her 50 th birthday and he treated her with so much respect and she loved him. We can’t say enough good things about him.
