The grape tomatoes in the salad had been frozen, they were soft and mushy. The steak was too salty. The blackened chicken was not blackened, and was too salty.

So disappointed in my chicken and ribs. Ribs were fine.The chicken was so dry and a hard outside. Well overcooked.. My garlic mashed Potatoes as well as my husband’s certainly had no taste of garlic.they seemed liked they were put on the plate and left under heat light.. They had a hard skim over the top

Wife and I went for our 8th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, the host acknowledged and said happy anniversary which was nice, but we were never offered the Billy Miner pie, which we always were on previous occasions. Not sure if this is something they still do, and we didn't bother to ask. Steak was good, but was over cooked as I ordered rare and it was more medium. The garlic mashed (typically my favourite at the keg) had no garlic taste, and were no where near as good as the previous dozens of times I've been to the keg. Waitress was great.

The double baked potato was burnt. Our waiter was very helpful but the manager was rather condescending to say that they the kitchen does crisp them up. We've had that item at several different Keg restaurants so we know they don't normally come burnt. The rest of our meal was wonderful.

Server was great! Steak was great! Seasonal veggies for the price were poor- half stalk of asparagus, mushrooms and way too many bell peppers rough choped. I would not order this side again.

Great food and service. The escargot was delicious! I would definitely order the blue cheese topped, bacon wrapped filet with fresh vegetables again! More than half the plate was fresh veggies. Made me feel less guilty about the steak, bacon and cheese!

Food was amazing delicious, however the presentation lacked as the plate looked like the mashed potato was just slopped on and slid from the edge to the middle (not wiped and clean). Also the 6 small pieces of vegetables, why bother? Kitchen should be embarrassed to put that on the plate. Other than the dirty plate and the quantity of the veg, it was great.

It was our first time back to the Keg since precovid. The service was excellent from the time we entered to when we finished. Our meals were perfect - Prime Rib with Garlic mash potatoes and blackened chicken with twice baked potato. A nice surprise was the free Billy Miner dessert for our anniversary, which was delicious. We will definitely be back!

It was my first time dining at the Keg in Halifax. Booked the reservation to celebrate my partner's birthday. As soon as we arrived, the hostesses were so smiley, kind, and welcoming. My partner and I each had the 8 oz Teriyaki Sirloin and Garlic Mashed Potatoes, which also came with some roasted veggies on the side. The steak was the most flavorful and enjoyable I'd ever had. The Teriyaki flavour wasn't necessarily subtle, but the way it presented itself along side the flavour of the steak also didn't mask or distract from the steaks flavour. All the flavours worked along along side one another to create something more beautiful than each separate could do alone. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes were so creamy and smooth - also maybe the best I've ever had (I hope my dad doesn't see this and realize his cooking has competition from the keg). The server was very charming and friendly. His was present the exact amount you'd want him to be. He wasn't floating around us, but we were also never left in a situation where we wanted something and had to wait on him. To top the hole dinner off, once we finished our meals and our dishes and silverware were collected, the server came back with a surprise slice of ice cream cake with a candle on it for the birthday girl, free of charge. I will be back.
