Amazing. As ex-Keggers. We always feel welcomed back and at home. Dale was awesome as our server and everything was amazing. Introduced our kids to the Keg for the first time. Makes me want to pick up a few more shifts there.

Dennis our server was outstanding, although I believe to be relative new. Our meals and service were first rate We chose the patio , which is a wonderful location, being one floor above street level which affords additional privacy. Part way through the mealDennis arranged an umbrella to break the setting sun. Wonderful way to enjoy dinner for my 88th birthday.

Except for the flooding of the front lobby exactly when we arrived, at no fault of anyone , as the down pour of rain was more that the front entrance drains could handle. All of us where soaked over top of our shoes. Approximately three inches!!! What an entrance!!! Your upstairs staff provide paper towels once we were seated. Except for seating all evening in wet socks, everything else was executed well. Our server was very attentive . The Harvey Wall Bangers were a disappointment in that the stubby glass was three quarters filled with ice. But, I must admit, as we attended many nights at the original Keg, standing in line for hours, I could not really say, what I was expecting in "that Harvey Wall Banger" which we always had a few. We initially found the location hard to find and accessing the second story restaurant challenging. Our first visit from out of town. We enjoyed our experience with staff, food and ambiance. We will visit again.

Although the steak that we ordered, the Rib Roast, and the Prime ribs were prepared to desire doneness, it was a bit cold when it was served. The rib roast is tough on the outside, the mushrooms were just randomly surrounding the steaks, and the vegetables were just in a pile with some burned broccoli. I see no concern for plating, a cause for a loss of appetite.

I've been to several Keg locations before and the food was always outstanding. It's been a while since I ate at a Keg, and was looking forward to the same great food, but was really disappointed this time at this location. We ordered some old favorites and there wasn't one dish that didn't disappoint in some way. The crispy cauliflower used to be so good. Now there's more breading than cauliflower and it's drenched in oil. The avocado in the tuna tartare was underripe and hard. The salmon, which I was most looking forward to, was overly moist. It was as though it had been soaked in water and tasted fishy (not in a good way). The brussel sprouts under the salmon were hard and tasteless. Sadly I could go on and on about how mediocre the food was on this occasion. In regard to the service, it was inattentive and forgetful. The server wasn't overtly rude in any way, but he needed to be reminded that we had ordered drinks, one of the drink orders was wrong and the service just wasn't very good in general. We definitely won't be rushing to the Keg again anytime soon.

I expect to be at my table at the time of my reservation, we stood up for quite a while before our table was ready. The wine list was dissapointing, 75% were California wines, very little selection of BC wines and nothing from Europe with the exception of one or two French wines. My steak was salty, the meat was cooked to perfection but the extra salt ruined the experience. We were 4 people and were given a booth, needless to say it was very uncomfortable as there were no room to move, we ate like soldiers.

Went there to celebrate our anniversary and they treated us extremely nicely including providing us with free Prosecco to start and free Billy Miner pie for dessert. In between, both of our meals and appetizers were great, even for my vegetarian wife.

The food was fine, but the service was EXTREMELY slow. We were there for almost 2 and a quarter hours, and we didn't even have appetizers. This was probably the slowest service that I've ever had at The Keg.

This being our 50th year of eating at the Keg (Keg & Cleaver in the early days) at least three or four times a year, we are never disappointed. The menu is much bigger than what originally fit on a small wooden cutting board that the servers carried around with them in the early days and so are the prices. That being said, the Keg never disappoints. They are one of the few restaurants we know of that consistently cooks a blue rare filet to perfection. Seared on the outside and cool on the inside.

I noted food was 4 out of 5 but I'd say 4.5 out of 5. We ordered Calamari for appetizer. It was harder than normal. It could be the squid which was used but meat was very thin and felt like dried ones in a freezer. That is all.
