   Jacey was our waiter and he was on point. Even though my wife kind of mistakenly ordered her prime rib medium well they brought out a new one that was medium. They comped our wine and our dessert for out anniversary as well. Can’t wait to go back!

   For some reason the twice baked potato option is more difficult to get hot than a steak is to get the wellness correct. I spend a lot of money at The Keg and this is about the only complaint I have which should be a simple fix but last night me and my wife each got cold twice baked potatoes not once, but twice. That’s 4 potatoes. This isn’t the first time. Why is this so hard?

    Great food & service! Our only criticism would be that the entree could have been hotter….not sure if it was waiting for pickup by the server? But flavours were wonderful & we were hungry so ate right away rather than asking for a warm up.

    As usual, the steaks were perfectly done. We also had an 18 month old with us, her meal was brought out promptly and everyone enjoyed her. Thanks ever so much for the Billy Miner pie for our birthdays, what a treat.

    Terrific as usual, however the serrated steak knives have been replaced and the knives offered do not cut meat. It was difficult and frustrating to say the least. We talked about bringing our own if they don't offer something better. Otherwise still a favorite place for many years. Thank you

    Server was aloof and not engaging seemed that we were a task he wanted to avoid. We have been to this location on many occasions mostly for our anniversary this years trip was lackluster at best.

    Aside from some rowdy characters sitting a few tables beside us it was a good time. They were a bit loud and cursing all the time . The food and service was good.

    We attended for a birthday celebration and our server Kierra was excellent! Almost every detail was fulfilled except our salads were not served before our meals. Appetizers, food and drinks were all delicious. Thank you once again for making a special occasion memorable.

    We were celebrating my husband’s birthday with our two teenagers on this visit. Overall, all the 4 of us enjoyed it very much! My husband had the 10 oz. Filet Mignon which was outstanding, according to him. My son and I both had the steak and shrimp, and the medium rare steak was perfect! My daughter enjoyed an order of the baby back ribs. We all had cheese toast and Caesar salad, and my husband and I also had the Mushrooms Neptune. That is our favourite appetizer at the Keg. The complimentary bread and Billy Miner cake is always greatly appreciated, but even more so in today’s economy! I appreciate the consistency of the Keg with regards to the great quality of food and service. It definitely makes the splurge worth it!

    Food is good as always and Spiro is amazing! So nice and warm. He makes our visits to this Keg a delight. To us, it’s not just about the food,it’s about the service as well. Amazing service makes the dining experience that much better!!

    Our reservation was for 6:30 and we were seated at 6:45. The restaurant was exceedingly busy. Every table was full and many ppl were waiting in the lobby area to be seated. It was very crowded and very noisy. Our server arrived after a few mins and we ordered a beverage which arrived in an appropriate amount of time. At that time, we ordered an appetizer as well as our mains. Everything we ordered came within a few mins of each other…salad first, then the appy and then our full meals. We were “finished” by 7:30. 45 mins for a meal that cost $175, was nothing special, in a space that was jammed like sardines and very noisy. I am not complaining about our server as she was effective and friendly. It just felt very much like their goal was to get ppl in and out as quickly as possible in order to maximize their profits. Our last experience was also lacking but we wanted to give it another chance….this visit will be our last.

    All our meals were as good as expected. The only thing I will comment on is getting the appetizer plates removed before the dinner plates are brought., was a bit of a scramble. Otherwise very good!👍

    Outstanding service. Our server Kat was friendly, happy, knowledgeable and just a pleasure to have. The food came quickly and was exactly as we ordered it. Good quality food. Highly recommend The Keg StJames for your next night out. We will be back soon. Thank you all for the amazing evening.

    Good steak and ribs. The lobster dinner was too ordinary. We expected a bit more with the sauce. The Billy Minor Pie got the highest marks! Not too sweet but very good match.

    I ordered a filet medium and my wife a New York well done. The service was awesome, my wife’s meal not so much. Her steak was over seasoned (salty) and was cooked to medium. She sent it back and it still was not well done. It also came back as tough as leather. My meal was done to perfection. The manager comp’d my wife’s meal for the trouble (thank you). Over all the experience was good, a bit loud but good. I was disappointed that king crab is not on the menu anymore. I was sooo looking forward to the crab. For a steakhouse, you should know how to cook a steak well done, being juicy and hot. If I can do it, you’re the pros here, you should be able to do it.
