Delicious food, great service and an all around fantastic dining experience
New menu is great!
Quirky location but once we arrived it was as great! Food very interesting and Tapas portions, great for sharing different interests. Service was excellent!
Service was very good, adequate time between appetizers and entrees and we were always able to get drink refills as needed. Excellent buratta appetizer and tasty entrees.
Lovely food and amazing service!
Awesome. Never disappoints.
Fantastic food. Every bite of every appetizer, entree and desert was so delicious. Delicate, complex flavors and clearly so carefully thought out. Service was great. Ambiance was great. Definitely up there in memorable food moments.
Crispy artichokes were delicious; pork schnitzel was ok; escarole and pear salad was ok- but nice service and we’ll try something different next time we’re here.
Came in for an anniversary dinner. The 50% off wines on Sunday night was a great deal and we really enjoyed our selection. The food was wonderful and the service was great.
The food and ambiance is always really nice. Portions are not huge so I recommend ordering family style and getting at least a couple appetizers.
Excellent! Had a wonderful time. This was an important occasion. The food was excellent, and Fiona was an amazing server. I'll be back for sure!
Waitress was prompt and helpful. Salad was fresh, cold and delicious. Main course (cod)was perfectly done.
Great food and great service. There are lots of great dishes on the menu, with many that you will want to order again. Mine is the brisket dinner--it's excellent! It has great ambiance too. The drink selection is really good too.
Menu was difficult to interpret , some options on main menu were really starters without good explanations like if dish was hot or cold. Burger way too salty
A shadow of its former self. All of the items I lived in the past are gone. Had always exuded such a vibrant vibe even on a Wednesday night. Made me sad.
I hadn't been to the New World in years, since it was under a previous ownership, so I really didn't know what to expect. I'd have to start by saying that the food was so good that it pretty much blows away anything else I might quibble about, and insures that I would definitely go back again, and would recommend to people to try. Second, the prices are pretty high, and that's compounded by the fact that everything is a la carte, so it can really add up. For me that puts it into the category of an occasional treat, definitely not a regular place to go. The service was all right but not outstanding; one odd incident was that the bus person tried to take away our food without asking if we were finished. I also thought that at these prices I would have expected there to be some kind of dress code for the staff. I know people go casual pretty much everywhere these days, so a dress code for customers wouldn't be possible, but that shouldn't stop a restaurant from placing higher expectations on their staff. All things considered, my overall rating is 4 stars.
Excellent food and service. Diverse menu.. Serious wine list and also good by the gkass. Tented tables and parking in back. Always enjoy it here, so highly recommended.
Vegan/vegetarian options are outstanding! All local sourced food. Delicata squash with lentils, hen of the woods mushrooms, superb!
Meh. Every dish was meh. The salmon salad was 2/10. Barely any fish and roughly 3/4 cup of greens. The sniztel looked great but was completely tasteless. Cocktails were awful.
Always love it here. Dishes are unique and so thoughtfully prepared, never disappoints. Cocktails were excellent too. Veg/vegan friendly too! So glad this staple of Albany dining is in my neighborhood.
Food was high quality but the selection is quite low. Service is good, set up is friendly, I just wish there were more options.
Traveled to meet family for the weekend. The food was excellent, staff was welcoming and the atmosphere was just right for our reunion. Highly recommend this farm to table delight.
Very nice experience
We loved this restaurant so much we went back for our second date.
A disappointment- first time back since COVID - it is nothing like what it was. Limited menu. Low energy. Food is OK. Cocktails were the best part of the experience.
Hap the patio to ourselves! Loved it. Great food, great drinks and wonderful staff.
New World never disappoints!
New World Bistro is consistently wonderful, and always a delight — in all of its incarnations. Well worth the drive from Brooklyn !
Excellent service (great bartender) & superb scallop crudo!
Everything about this place was amazing! Drinks, food, service all fantastic. A gem!!
We sat out under the tent, at our request. It was very nice and quiet for our group. The food was excellent. My daughter picked out the wines which were very good. The service was excellent. It was the first time we went since the change of chef and menu and we’re very pleased.
Great meal. And we ordered a bottle of zinfandel which was 50% off that Sunday; it was as good as the food.
Ate in the back enclosed tent, where tables were spread well apart. Would have been nice to see some plants to brighten up the area. The menu was confusing, being our first time there...could not know portion sizes based on menu description and category. Our server misled us on one item as to size. Food was good.
The food was different than the same old and delicious
Very good, personally I would like more gluten free options. Thanks
We had a lovely dinner out under the tent in back. Was pretty noisy once it filled up. But great social distancing. The food was delicious, everyone was happy, although my son was not impressed with the fried chicken. The desserts were the highlight for us. Glad to see this place doing well!
Menu needs to improve - way too limited
We come here often. Love the food and drinks AND it’s one of the only places in albany open on Sunday. Score! Plus half price wine bottles.
Sophisticated menu with special items changing regularly. Strong vegetarian choices.
