   The service was wonderful here! We went to celebrate a recent engagement. I wrote in our reservation about the occasion, and the staff was so welcoming! They congratulated the couple multiple times and even brought out complimentary champagne at the end for a toast! The most impressive part was that the staff was observant and respectful enough to notice those in the party that weren't drinking. They provided a non-alcoholic beverage in champagne glasses to include them in the toast - unprompted!

   The noise level made conversation impossible. The food was undistinguished and vastly overpriced. The bar and tables were not situated in a way to facilitate views of Cambridge Crossing. All in all, very disappointing.

   I visited the Lexington for the Mother’s Day brunch, I actually grabbed a reservation the same day, so I was very happy about that. The hosts were extremely polite. We got our table pretty quickly. The food was delicious. Seating was spacious and it was nicely lit. They were friendly with my 1 year old baby, caring, asking about water/food/anything for her which I appreciated. All in all a very nice first experience.

   Waitstaff were initially attentive and responsive but then they seemed to forget about us. We had to flag down a server to take our order and then the drinks didn't come until after the food, a good 30-40 mins after we ordered.

    I really wanted to like this place. The space is cool and it’s an area that needs new restaurants, but eek the food is…not good. We got the fried chicken sandwich and burger and both were DROWNING in their respective sauces. We both love condiments and think with the proper amount it would have worked but both sandwiches were insanely messy and soupy. My fried chicken sandwich also had a lot of dark meat which seemed odd and should have been mentioned on the menu (I would have passed). Our side of fries were really undercooked (I saw another order go by that looked much better so perhaps we just got a bad batch). All in all, it was a bust for us.

    Never got my receipt. I gave my email address but never received my receipt. The deseert which was a banana bread with ? was too large and not moist and didn't have much flavor. The other dinner items were very good. The steak and eggs the best. Although no effort to ask if I wanted eggs over or not. Maybe my error? Overall I would go back when construction is finished. Sometime in 2024? The view was definitely not great of the empty hole and construction equipment.

    We'd previously been to Gepetto but this was our first time upstairs. What a great spot! Love the casual vibe, we went for the Sunday night fried chicken dinner and it really delivered. Cambridge Crossing is such a peaceful little oasis.

    Sunday night late, so very few people there, so noise level was good for conversing, although the music was a bit too loud. Food was fine as usual. The waitperson asked if we wanted a side with the burger (fries, salad or brussel sprouts), not indicating that it was a $6 charge. Same with the grilled cheese. I just would have appreciated a heads-up that the "sides" weren't included. I would have gotten the fries, regardless, I just don't like surprises on my bill. We will go back, of course, I'll just know better.

    It was a quiet early Sunday in order to try the fried chicken special, which was a generous portion sized for 2 hungry people. Fried chicken parts could be seen sitting in hotel pans in the kitchen, which implied that they would be somehow warmed up or fried a second time- the skin was crisp and fairly dark brown, tasting salty and faintly of ?tumeric or cumin. Inside still moist and tender. The sides were bowls of roasted small yellow potatoes, very hot internally and meltingly smooth. The brussels sprouts were way too oily, outer leaves simply dripping and insides slightly overcooked. The pepitas were sunken to the bottom of the bowl, soaked in oil and not pleasant. Air fried would have been much more palatable. We shared dessert, a very tempting homemade "Smores" with a lovely chocolate mousse bottom, a layer of meringue with a light toast, and a hard impossible to break up homemade graham cracker. We watched the table next door struggle to crack this cookie in order to share- we had the same difficulty and the dessert would have been fine with thinner wedges of cookie or simple graham cracker crumbs. This was a dessert meant to be shared and the tough cookie ruined it.

    It was impossible to park, we were served appetizers before cocktails, which arrived with our entrees. There was one wait staff, very friendly, but service was so slow. Two of the four of us didn’t like their meals. We hope that things improve there, but there is no place to park.

    Food was both excellent and very interesting. Relatively small menu but dishes you don't see everyday: Delicata squash tempura, duck cassoulet. Very interesting mixed drinks, very well prepared. Fantastic service, some of the best. Main drawback: it was COLD!! on a 50 degree night. Our server helped out by getting the management to increase the heat, but it's hard to imagine anyone would enjoy the temperature.

    Excellent service, decent price neighborhood restaurant - but the food is not great. Everything is overly salty and slightly over cooked. Was super excited to go here for a while based on the ambiance, went for valentines dinner and the food was very sub par. Skip this.

    The restaurant was not at the level I was expecting given the hype. The wine service was ridiculous and wrong bottles were delivered. We specifically asked about the brussels and were assured they were oven roasted which was not the case and were obviously deep fried and burned. The pork chop was certainly not cooked to medium and when I said something about the server never offered it to be redone and just shrugged. Lastly, the carrot cake was essentially 3/4 cream cheese frosting and cream and maybe 1/4 cake. We told the server that I was lactose intolerant and would have appreciated her forwarning. Again, when I said something to the server, the the response was “that’s how we make it”. I routinely make a journey from back bay to Beatrice and really like the inventiveness and Lexington could not have been further from that experience.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to The Lexington. Took a lovely walk in the area beforeour reservation then had a delicious hummus (what are the crunchies on top - they're great!) and then shared a special fish dinner. Drinks are expensive as anywhere but service was impeccable, atmosphere and view are very nice as well. Enjoyed our experience!
