   A friendly warm welcome with attentive staff. Menu is limited which was reduced even further when advised 3 items were unavailable. Food was very tasty though felt staff should have advised burgers come with chips when we ordered extra side of chips, as not referenced on menu that all burgers come with chips.

   Food was nice although we waited for over a hour before we got any. Steak served on a slate not very good when adding a sauce, sauce ended up all over table.

   Sauvignon blanc is extremely yummy. Had roast dinner which was fantastic. I have the vegetarian wellington which was really good (I don’t usually like vegetarian alternatives) however it needed more gravy and for the gravy to be thicker. The broccoli was also just boiled and could have done a little longer or some seasoning as it was boring. The roast had potatoes, carrots, parsnips and cabbage. Yorkshire pic was very good and so was the cauliflower cheese. Service was always very friendly but slow at times. Would definitely go back as it was a beautiful settling and great experience.

   This was a very pleasant experience. very clean, well appointed and comfortable accommodation. Both evening meal and breakfast were tasty and carefully thought out. yummy, in fact. Staff worked hard and were very obliging. a good place to visit. Thank you.

   This place is fantastic, staff were so polite and helpful, and the setting is idyllic. When the food arrived it was absolutely delicious, and a generous portion. Please be aware you may have to wait a little while as apparently they have a very small kitchen and cook everything fresh, so to the people I heard complaining about waiting twenty minutes I suggest next time you go to Macdonalds as I thought it was definitely worth the wait - I will absolutely be back when travelling with work for business - thankyou 😊

    The food here was incredibly disappointing, the menu isn't huge to begin with, but we arrived to be told their fryer was broken and only about half the meals were available (including, rather inexplicably, the macaroni cheese my daughter wanted), and I'm not faulting them that the fryer was broken, these things happen. The smoked paprika fries were so coated with smoked paprika that they were bright red and just tasted powdery, the fries my kids had were incredibly heavily salted, the vegetable curry consisted of two vegetables - peppers and large chunks of onion, the naan bread was stale and the kids pizzas were those ones on a cardboardy base with the strange thin cheese like you can buy in supermarket value ranges. All in all the food was very disappointing, which was a shame because the staff were lovely.

    This was not as expected. The menu did not have the wider range of dishes as advertised. The food was poorly presented and was reminiscent of old age motorway service stations. I now understand some of the reviews I previously read. Such a shame for an excellent location.

    The staff were really friendly and decor contemporary and comfortable. The outside area is sunny and peaceful with canal and Riverside walk. We had the Sunday lunch which was cooked to perfection, especially my cod and the pork was not dry as it can be sometimes. The only criticism would be that due to the meat and gravy covering the potatoes, they were no longer crispy.

    The menu was limited anyway… but to be told that from the limited menu, there were 3 or 4 things unavailable, it made it even worse. Atmosphere was only ok - a shame given the location. And when it came to ordering the bill, they didn’t bring it until we prompted again - when we could actually grab their attention. Wine was good though.

We were operating on a limited menu due to our main kitchen prep fridge breaking down and was pending repair, this not helped by having to waste a large amount of stock reducing our menu further.     Love this place, waiter was very accommodating and all the staff were happy, smiley and helpful. Food was possibly not quite so hot as cld be but that’s being a bit picky maybe - very tasty, good value, didn’t have a starter so just about enough room for pudding.     Food excellent quality but only 3/4 of a normal portion. We got asked 5 times 'how was our food' by 3 different staff, the first was after only 2 mouthfuls of food !!! Price was high for what you got. The far end of the pub was a lovely location overlooking the river but the end near the car park was ruined by road noise and view.

    Long been one of my favourite venues. This visit was the first since covid and new management. Food & service was good. A traditional menu but no chicken dish. We’ll returning in the summer for sure as it is such a unique eatery.

    Second visit to The Lock Keepers for Sunday breakfast recently. Overall, is good, but the wait from order to food on the table has been lengthy both time - nearly an hour on this last visit. Also - chef - your black pudding really needs cooking longer - its virtually raw. Other than this - lovely place and people.

    A lovely lunch at The Lock Keepers. The only little thing was we were told certain things weren’t available on the menu, but we saw that they actually were about an hour after we ordered as they were served to another table. Probably got a delivery when we were eating. However, it was still a lovely meal in a lovely location. We will be returning. 5 stars

    Have been here 3 times now, but last night was uncomfortable. It says closing time is 10pm and yet the vacuum cleaner was being put round at 9:30 closely followed by floor mopping with a very pungent disinfectant just after. It just felt that we were expected to leave. That was my last visit unfortunately.

    A beautiful place and we love visiting for breakfast. Usually it would be 5 stars all round, however on this visit, the service alhough friendly and polite was slow, those who came in later were served first and it was 50 minutes from arrival until we got our food. Food was good but just given brown toast for eggs royale and eggs benedict, not the usual two bagels or choice of white/brown. We queried as we only received one egg instead of two listed on menu, surprisingly the chef came out of the kitchen to check the menu as he obviously thought it should be just one (wonder how many customers hadn't been given 2 eggs). I believe in raising issues to allow it to be addressed at the time, and received an apology and 10% discount. Finally such a beautiful view and a near empty room but we were seated up against the bar, such a shame please consider giving customers the best seats if possible.

    The restaurant was cold. The roast beef was quite fatty, chewy and lacked flavour. The cauliflower cheese was also lacking in flavour with very little cheese. The experience was very disappointing particularly when our previous visit had been very good.
