   It was my wife's Birthday our table was perfect for the occasion Sarah's chicken was lovely . I had the steak which was perfectly cooked and peppercorn sauce just superb . the staff are very friendly.

   Had Sunday Roast. Just OK. Nothing special to write home about. Service a bit slow, but staff very nice. Food not that hot. Potatoes a bit stale. Meat was tender tho and portion sizes good.

   Went there as family of 4 for Mother’s Day, 3 of the meals were good, my beef Sunday roast was poor (the veg was good), the beef was two small slices, over done, tough and fatty. Really disappointed for £19.50 I expected more Didn’t want to complain as my wife was happy so said nothing. Won’t be going back for Sunday roast

   Great traditional pub food, well presented and priced realistically. The location is fantastic over looking the canal. Service was friendly and efficient. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely be returning.

   It was OK. The food was a bit bland to be honest. It was quite expensive at just under £100 for two adults and a child for lunch, and we were just surrounded by dogs, which was the worst part by far. I don't like dogs and I don't understand why they're allowed into a place like that. Also the waitress was stroking many of the dogs and I'd like to know if she was washing her hands afterwards.

    We were eight for a celebration lunch and they looked after us perfectly. Service was attentive while still allowing all the time we wanted. Table even had space for anniversary cards!

    Warm welcome when we arrived with great service throughout. Food was delicious and choice of wine was good, the Pinot noir was a delight for a Wednesday night.

    First time here for a Sunday lunch and it won’t be the last. Food was absolutely delicious. We tried the beef, belly pork, chicken and veggie roasts and we were all super happy and very full! Staff were lovely, friendly and efficient and food came out quickly too. Very happy customers, thank you :)

    Had lunch here on a Saturday with friends after walking our dogs along the river. The pub was really busy so glad we booked in advance. It's really nice inside as well as a big patio area outside by their canal. The food was excellent and so was the beer. The service was a little slow although we didn't mind as we were in no hurry. Our dogs were made very welcome. We'll certainly be going back again.

    The staff were really good - efficient and friendly The food (Sunday lunch) as a little bit 'quantity over quality' but it was filling and well cooked If I returned I would ask for... A separate jug for gravy - it was drenched in it and over powering The beef to be served rare - or a steak knife to be offered A bit more time between ordered and the food being served (I didn't want fast food)

    Great service! They took the wrong order first mistakenly and then replaced it with what I had ordered originally and to make up to this error they took it off the bill too. Did not expect that...which was quite a nice gesture for first time Guests! We shall definitely be coming back more often and hopefully will have a better placed table next time. The food, ambience and staff were great. Overall a good experience.

    Booked a table for after the Rugby, wasn’t sure what the pub would be like however it did not disappoint. Food was really tasty and plentiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back again

    Food was not to its usual standard which was disappointing. Risotto was stodgy and burgers over cooked. One burger ordered without cheese was delayed as they added cheese so had to recook. Staff were friendly and service was good other than the order mix up by kitchen staff.

    Booked to attend on Boxing Day at 1600. Slightly disappointed as I was informed at booking there would be a Christmas menu however this ended on Christmas Eve - but not a problem just ordered from the main menu. The food came out super quick and was hot and fresh. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and had a smile on their face. I have been here a couple of times and never been let down - good food and good service. Will 100% be back - but this time for a roast!

    I organised this festive meal for 12 of us. The staff were very pleasant and helpful both on the telephone and were quick to reply to my emails. We had a great time and were pleased with service and food. Unfortunately it was a freezing cold day and we ate at lunchtime and we were the only customers which meant that it was a bit chilly. The staff were helpful and offered to move us but it was pretty cold everywhere. Thankyou for a good send off to Christmas.
