What a great find! The Loft had delicious good and a great ambiance. The grilled tuna salad was fabulous. The fish and chips we’re also very good. They had three people trying to work the whole restaurant so the service was a bit slow but they were working hard. Wednesday wine night was a really good deal.
I got the cod fish and chips. My daughter got the fish tacos. The food was abundant and very nicely prepared. We also shared a side of mac and cheese which was very tasty but a small portion. It was in a small soup cup. We sat outside on a warm sunny day in October. We enjoyed the view of the boats moored there. It was lovely. We would recommend this restaurant.
Our server Cat was extraordinary
Our server Matt was super friendly and helped make our evening and dining experience that much more enjoyable. The bacon wrapped prawns were so delicious.
Had the day off, weather was sunny so we decided to sit on a deck by the water and have lunch. The Loft was open, we made a reservation (good thing we did) as the people in line before us wanted to sit at our table. Our server, Antonia, appeared to be bartending as well. She was friendly and got our local brews out quickly. We had fish and chips and ahi tacos, both were great.
Airy, good menu. On the harbor so pleasant atmosphere.
Had our anniversary dinner there, enjoyed the view on the water and the food was tasty. They are handling the covid precautions well though service was a little slow.
Menu options were great- food was awesome and so was the view! Our server was super friendly and very accommodating.
We'll be back...soon!
Food was fine but overpriced. Terrible service. Great view
Everyone enjoyed their entree’s!
We enjoyed our lunch at The Loft very much. The service was just right and the view and ambience were excellent. There is outdoor seating, but the wind was cold that day so we ate inside with a marvelous view of the harbor. The avocado fries are over the top fabu, order them! All our meals were very good, the salmon cakes smaller than expected, but delicious, we live in Alaska and eat fresh seafood all the time so we can attest to the flavors of the great north west. I ordered the seafood chimichanga, but would not do that again, all the lovely seafood was drowned out by way too much herb cream cheese. That wouldn't stop us from going back, there was a lot on the menu that looked enticing.
I had a reservation the other night and we waited for almost 2 hours to be seated for and early reservation. Was very disappointed with the amount of time we had to wait. By the time we where about to leave to find another place to eat the host came out and told us our table was ready. No one else was waiting at the time.
The waitress was kind but the restaurant was loud and the food definitely wasn’t worth the price. Fine dining prices with diner food and rundown atmosphere. We will not be returning.
The Loft view is fabulous. We really enjoyed their seafood and had excellent service. Very much a Bellingham favorite. Enjoy!!!
We were seated in a nice booth on the upper level with a great view of the marina. As the sun began to set - the bright light was blinding to the two facing the west... and there was no window screen! The restaraunt was full, so all in the booths facing west just had to dawn sunglasses and keep our eyes down. Unfortunate.
Fortunately we had coupons, otherwise i feel the prices were too high. Our server was great! Most everything was a reasonable experience except the food didn't measure up to the prices.
Great fresh seafood. Fast easy delicious
Your chairs were too hard on my butt. Too heavy to move
All our meals were not great. The price was a little high considering the quality of the meal.
Also, once of our guests was ill from the food she ordered.
It has been awhile since we have had a group meal where everyone was dissatisfied.
I found the food and service ok, but not great. My fish and chips were a bit soggy. Our server didn’t write down our order, which is fine but then it came out wrong. Items tagged dairy free had dairy listed in them in the menu. Not much beyond salad for vegan or DF eaters. Bench and seats were very uncomfortable.
I imagine the views are great when the weather is nice. It was dark and rainy on our visit.
Awesome dinner, was there for my son's 24th birthday. Great service good food.
I had great expectations when I booked here for a friends dinner. The service was ok, nothing fancy. In fact, we waited at the bar to have the full party before be seated at the table. We asked our server if we could transfer the bar tab to the table, and she said no problem until the host said the opposite when our friends came.
The food was ok, in my opinion too expensive for the amount of food they serve and it´s not aligned with the overall quality. I order a sauteed seafood salad, and there was not much salad and neither seafood there for almost $19, so I had to grab something else at the 7-eleven before going to bed. The 6-people table ordered two calamari starters, but only one made it to the table, so we had to reorder again, and more waiting.
You have views, location and such in this place, but I feel like only those that don´t want to explore the real spirit of Bellingham restaurants will end up here.
I've eaten here many times in the past but this last visit was bad. The service was deplorable, the food was bad except the steaks. If the food is show coming out at least keep up with the drinks.
The kids meal of chicken nuggets was awful, you couldn't even bite into them. I'm not sure I'll go back, it seems they think they are above good food and service and just want to jack up the prices under false claims of greatness. Ugh. Bad bad bad.
Had a party of 10 plus a baby - for my Father's Birthday Party.
It was perfect for a party of that size.
Staff was very helpful - food was enjoyed by all - and I felt the waitress was particularly noteworthy.
It was my first time there, as well as others in my party - we will all be back!!!!
over priced for the quality of food. It was an extreme disappointment for what we got.
Food was decent but not great when considering the cost. Nice visual ambiance of the marina. Interior was okay; relatively spacious but rather noisy. More of a brew pub feel rather than (not quite) fine dining, if that makes sense. Overall, okay experience but didn’t meet my expectations of what I thought it might be. Also the website really doesn’t give a snapshot of what to expect. Not disappointed but not blown away.
The Loft has the best waterfront deck in Bellingham, the staff is friendly and the service is great!
Seating was great for three adults and an infant. Our server was outstanding...not too intrusive but available when needed. One of us requested a minor change in the menu which was easily accommodated. Our dinners were delicious and we will certainly return!
Made reservations through open table, our 27th Anniversary, someone recommend, when we got there, no reservations to be had. We didn't exist. Place was packed and all they could offer was a tall table away from the windows. No offer to fix even when I showed my confirmation email. Ended up going elsewhere. Will not be going back.
First they didn’t have our reservation and we were told ‘we don’t really use our Open Table.’ Eventually we were given a table.
The bar was out of olives for martinis.
The kitchen was out of purple sticky rice for the curry dish.
The kitchen was out of scallops (on the fresh sheet).
They brought the wrong steak to my son-in-law and then charged us for it.
Nothing was comped or offered for any of the issues.
We had this place recommended to us by a coworker. We made reservations because we had a movie to get to after. Website said happy hour every day, no happy hour menu provided or even mentioned by the waitstaff. Oh well, no big deal. Go to order and when I mention I’m sensitive to red onions the server offers to check our choices to make sure there’s none in there. Awesome. Both choices had red onions not listed on the menu that couldn’t be removed (from crab ravioli and a peanut curry ??). Oh well, thanks for checking. Husband’s ravioli has a total of five on the plate and the halibut is over cooked and dry. It wasn’t awful but I doubt we’ll be back soon.
The hostess that seated us was rude. Our server was nice but had too many tables so service was slow. Took 35 minutes to get the bill and leave.
It's good, but they don't actually take reservations through OpenTable. So don't even bother ... you won't get your points.
