   Great spot for phenomenal food and fantastic drinks. And good times! The food has so much flavour. I appreciate the rib eye has the bit of fat and it's cooked to perfection. Loved every bite (and sip). You have to try the pho-spiced Old Fashioned---just otherworldly concept and execution.

   This was a memorable meal in every way.  Every dish was a delight to the senses. So many beautifully combined flavors, aromas and textures.  The atmosphere was fun and the service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We made sure to order a lot so we could take some food home. We can’t wait to go back and try the other items on the menu!

   Lunch Lady once again proved to be wholly deserving of their recent praise and local buzz. The food was unique and well crafted (standouts being the Steak and Tiramisu for us) and the service was attentive and warm. Great local restaurant and a definite favourite of mine.

    Bad table, rickety and uncomfortable between the kitchen and toilet with a infant beside us throwing food on floor. Restaurant would not move us even though we reserved weeks in advance. No attention from server, ie. no water refills. Overall not worth the cost. Used to be a favorite restaurant and now I won't come back.

    We celebrated our 34th anniversary at the Lunch Lady and the experience was everything we had hoped for. The menu was so enticing that it was difficult to make our choices but we were delighted by everything. The grilled pork belly was the stand-out, as were the cocktails both alcoholic & non. To top off a perfect evening we were served a delightful dessert on the house. Great service. Exquisite evening.

    Honestly, after watching TikTok videos of how amazing this place was - it was a pretty MEH experience. I found most of the food was bland and mediocre. I have travelled a lot to Asia so maybe I’m spoiled but I’ve had better in Canada Our server Gloria was absolutely terrific and made the experience.

    the ingredients are great but the sauce masked their taste and are on the sweeter end. Taro chip is too greasy. The noodle in the set menu is below average and we don't want to finish it. overall okay but not returning.

    The garlic fried noodles and pork spring rolls are always a must try! The service is always friendly and productive although our food came out at awkward times, we began to wonder if one of our dishes was still coming. It was also quite noisy to the point where our friend sitting across could not hear us so would recommend sitting outside if you can!

    Food was authentic and average. We ordered the lower-priced items and we satisfied. I hoping to be WOW'ed. Best parts of the experience: Luke and the service staff was quite knowledgeable, very focused on how we enjoyed our visit and excellent and attentive to our questions. The tiramisu was delicious and very nice touch for my birthday. Thank you. If someone wants authentic Vietnamese cuisine I would recommend. Next time, maybe for the WOW factor, I would choose the signature dishes, but we are budget-conscious (and do not eat out very often).

    Total yum experience. I would recommend the set menu for 4 people if you are with 3 others. So many delicious items to try. Added the garlic noodles (thanks Megan...best server) which rounded out the options fabulously. Drinks were lovely too and totally complemented the menu items. Can't wait to go back and try the items we didn't get to this time!

    Biggest issue is the time constraint. We were allowed 1.5hours for a table of 4. This was inadequate, especially since it took a full 30 minutes to receive our drinks and first plates of food. There was barely enough time to finish our mains and no time to have dessert

    The food was amazing- the truffle chicken salad is a must; the herbs were very fresh and fragrant! Our server was also friendly and attentive. The only reason it’s not 5 stars across the board, was that there appeared to be an issue with our reservation not coming up in the system, the hostess made it seem as if we were being dishonest and seemed reluctant to seat us; despite the fact that I confirmed my reservation through the OpenTable app and text system(s).

    Lunch Lady was the start of our Vancouver foodie tour. Reservations are highly recommended as this place gets busy. So many things we wanted to try, so we decided on the family menu ($50/person). Started with the taro chips and beef carpaccio - probably my fave dishes of the meal. The taro chips were thin, light, and crispy. Perfect pairing with the carpaccio that was so full of flavor. Next came the grilled octopus - be careful! These have a kick. The sauce made it spicier, but it was so good. Octopus was tender, although I would've liked them grilled just a tad longer. Next were the garlic noodles and steak - these were just ok to me. I believe they put shrimp paste in the noodles. The steak was cooked to medium, but flet like something was missing flavor wise. Hubs couldn't resist and ordered the Wagyu pho as well. The pho came with a dish of wagyu (raw to cook in the soup) and a split bone with marrow. Must say the broth was very light and clean tasting. The only complaint is the soup cooling down quite quickly so the beef slices didn't really cook in the broth. For dessert, choice between their version of Che ba mau or Vietnamese coffee tiramisu. We went with the che ba mau and so glad we did - warm pandan cake with coconut ice cream and strawberry sauce. So good! They were busy, but service was ok. Had to ask them a couple of times for water refills, but food came fairly quickly. Nice meal to start our Vancouver visit.

    Food was good, staffs were nice. You only can seat for an hour even if you make a reservation. We were asked to leave (kindly) after one hour. So lucky I didn't order drinks 🤣
