Thank you for a great lunch and great atmosphere. We are very sad to see the Manor closing. We have had many events there from celebrating my Mom's 60th birthday to my stepdad's memorial. Wishing the owners all the best on their next adventure.
Excellent! We’ll miss you!
We had a great family dinner at The Manor. We are very sad that it is closing, and that we won’t be able to share another meal here again!
You’re closing, so no point. Establishment will be missed by many, but as long as the staff land on their feet I’m ok with that. Good luck.
Fresh and tasty ingredients, and our waitress was excellent!
We were sad to hear that The Manor Bistro was closing it's doors, as we have had many lovely dinners there over the span of 29 years. We have never had a bad meal there either. Yet when we went for my husband's birthday on March 17, he ate his meal and unfortunately got very sick after eating the burger. Sad to remember our final dinner there on that note...
The Manor Casual Bistro is an adorable, quiet little venue! The food was delicious, it wasn't busy which was nice for having a conversation.
The service was awful; the server disappeared once the food was dropped off; we weren't offered dessert (and watched her offer it to the other tables around us); we had to flag her down to get the bill (but continued to walk past us, ignoring us). If I was to go back, I would ensure I wasn't served by the same lady again.
Leisurely brunch - good value, good food, good service.
Brunch was very nice. Good ambiance. Nice a quiet and good variety of food. Coffee was just ok. But everything else was wonderful!
The old house with the view of trees and bustle was inviting. The waitress was exceptional and the food was delicious.
I would definitely recommend The Manor to anyone. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, we liked the fireplace, it was very cozy. The food was amazing. We had the charcuterie to start then I had the tuscan pasta, both were delicious. The price point is about average, I would say it's quite reasonable especially considering the quality of the food. The place is great for a romantic dinner or a nice quiet family dinner. There were a lot of different segmented dining areas if privacy was a concern as well.
Both our stomach doesn't feel well afterwards
Very disappointing. Attended for brunch. Food was bland and uninspired. One dish sent back to the kitchen, beef was dry stringy and over salted. Potatoes were cold and the furniture was unclean.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience. Paying for a brunch like this felt like a bit of a slap. Server was nice and attentive, but the kitchen clearly needs some direction. All three dishes we tried were less than one would expect from a restaurant with this much tenure. Will not return.
Very relaxed atmosphere and great food.
Great place to have intimate dinner
Cozy atmosphere in a great neighbourhood. The food was exceptional, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was quiet and comfortable.
We were pleasantly surprised the server remembered us, great food, great service, unique location with a wonderful ambiance. We were saddened to hear they are closing. We will go one more time before they do and hopefully more will follow.
Excellent service and outstanding food!
On a frigid Sunday in February, around a full house of boisterous brunch-goers, I went to The Manor for possibly the final time before they shut their doors at end of March. Cozy but pretty, great window view onto 125 St, I had the Beef Benedict (unctuous & filling) and partner had the Spaetzle Hash (unique & tasty). With coffee the bill was $47, service friendly and quick. With limited brunch options in the DT core, this classic tucked in behind & around Urban Diner (the owners' focus) was a great choice, and reminded me how much I'd enjoyed the space in years past, especially on the summer patio. Thx for the memories, Manor!
We've been attending for years and the Manor has never disappointed. Glad they continue to be part of the fabric of Edmonton and the Old Glenora area.
Manor is my favourite restaurant, and feeling very sad knowing they are closing in March! It was areal neighborhood gem! The patio is one of the best ones in the city! Hopefully, whoever bought it will want to continue tradition.............
Overall it was a good experience
Really good evening all around. Sure wish it wasn’t closing. Please keep the patio as it is. And please, no more small plate restaurants!
Our server was excellent. She really went the extra mile to see that we enjoyed the meal.
Love this place! Food is good and you can have a conversation without blasting g music. The restaurant is in a converted old house, so the ambiance is really calm and friendly. Great for both lunch and dinner.
The Manor Casual Bistro never disappoints and is always an enjoyable eating experience!
Been to the Manor a number of times, and never been disappointed.
I've been coming to the Manor Cafe for Schnitzel for years. I hope the new owners keep this on the menu.
Wonderful place to get some tasty food in a cozy atmosphere. Flavours are delicious and service is great.
Great place to meet with friends.
Thank you for accommodating 11 of us gals in the family!
Great food, a nice dining room and great service. Fun evening. What more could you ask for. Highly recommended.
Regulars for years. But this time some of our favorite dishes were no longer offered. The special (beef) and the menu item (pork) were cooked nicely but portions were so small I was eyeing McD's on the way home. Will explore other options for a while.
The Manor Bistro was very good....Burger is a bit overpriced perhaps, but very tasty.
Fabulous place for brunch! Great service, lots of menu choices and fresh ingredients. I had the Heart Stop breakfast burger and it was delicious! They add fresh cut potatoes as a side. Book soon as sadly, they will be closing their doors in the new year. Moving onto other ventures.
Service was very slow. In fact, the server never brought our bills and we had to go downstairs to pay after waiting a long time. The food was only okay, which was disappointing given the price.
The Tuesday evening schnitzel special was quickly prepared and delivered to our table. The waitress was bubbly and a very welcoming person.
Overall this special was good value for those who like schnitzel.
Great place, has been open for years but is sadly closing in the new year!
Nice and quiet, cozy atmosphere with meals that taste home cooked. I had a fantastically seasoned and perfectly cooked salmon with the tastiest risotto I had in a long time and my husband enjoyed the steak. Dont miss out on their tiramisu. Good wine list as well. We will be back.
Great ambiance and service. Best French Toast I ever had. I highly recommend.
