Brutal, even with a reservation we waited 45 minutes for a table. While being seated there was at least 7 tables vacant. Never going to this snob hub again.

Being a new guest to this restaurant we had a very helpful server who knew the menu very well and was able to guide our choices. We were a little disappointed that we had to wait 45 minutes for a reservation but the cheerful bartender helped ease the pain. Overall a delightful night out. We look forward to our next visit.

I have been here on a date, and with my whole family for my birthday, and the service, food, and environment are all always stellar. I always leave here feeling very full and very satisfied. The different areas of the restaurant allow for a wide variety of occasions - from a quiet and secluded booth in “lovers lane” for an intimate and cozy feeling date, to a bright and exciting room for groups and events, to a full bar. The wait staff is always enthusiastic, helpful, and attentive, and do a good job providing you with the full unique experience of this restaurant. It definitely fits the description of “dinner and a show”. I’ve never been disappointed with my experiences at the melting pot.

I have always loved everything about the melting pot, from the overall experience to the food. However, I made a reservation for a seat on lovers lane over a month in advance and I was very disappointed when my request was not followed. Instead, we were seated in the busy and super noisy dining area which made it very difficult to have the romantic and mellow date we had been looking forward to all month. Also, although the servers were incredibly friendly we did feel very rushed through our dining experience. For example, we had been brought our entree cooking style prior to us even finishing our cheese fondu and they insisted on squeezing both pots onto the single burner to start warming up. Also, despite the quick pace through our meals our drink refills did took 10-15 minutes to arrive which was a bit disappointing. I feel bad, because I typically love the melting pot but this was the first experience where I felt thoroughly disappointed, especially when the $230 bill came around. If this is simply a case of being under-staffed then I would recommend avoiding February like the plague.

LOVE this restaurant! We go here for our anniversaries and special date nights! It's "our spot". Everytime we go we are blown away by the service and the amazing food- not only is the style of cooking fun and individual specific the quality of the food is unreal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Mixed review here. Went here on a date night with the wife. We didn't have to wait very long, maybe 5 minutes to be seated. It started off well, except the floor was sticky under the feet of my wife after we sat down. The second issue was when my wife received her soup, and that the spoon wasn't washed very well, and had some dried on food. She was getting a little annoyed by this point. The third and final issue was when my wife had cooked only her 3rd item of the entre, and the was a hair on it. My wife wouldn't eat any more food and had pretty much lost her appetite. Not sure how all this bad luck was falling on my wife, but it was. Our hostess was really good to and apologized countless times. The manager did come see us and offered us some compensation...a new platter, price drop, etc. He too, apologized countless times. They even had the floor cleaned under the table for us. Everyone there did there very best at making things right, and I even felt bad about the amount of effort they put out to fix things. I convinced the wife to partake in the desert fondue, which somewhat smoothed her over. At the end of the evening, when I received the bill, they had not charged for any of the food. Just a few drinks and the upgraded cooking oil. Almost all the food had been eaten (mostly by myself), and I felt this was too low of a bill. After discussing the bill with hostess, she still wouldn't have it increased, so I left a 200% tip to make it a little fair. Even though my wife didn't have a good outing, I found it a very enjoyable and different way to have a night out. Again, I commend the staff on all their efforts to make things better. The whole meal did take over 3 hours to complete which we were expecting. It gives plenty of time for relaxed eating, conversation, and a few drinks. I would still recommend the experience, and I would definitely try again.

While our server could have been more attentive, the atmosphere and experience definitely make up for it. A unique dinner option for a date night or special occasion, when you aren't in a rush and aren't looking for "regular" or "cheap".

I take my staff there for our annual Christmas dinner every February. We spent 4 hours casually dining on a fantastic meal and the service was outstanding. The only thing I was annoyed with was we got rushed out at 10:00. I understand that we were there a lengthy time but didn't want to leave. I'll make better arrangements next time). Otherwise it was, as always, a great time.

Loved the ambience and the server we had was fantastic. They had run out of stuff on the menu and they replaced it with something else that was great too! Only downside was the price was very expensive. Would have been able to go to an equally fancy place twice for the price we paid for the once.

Cheese and chocolate fondue was great, not so much the entre. We were there many hours. Cooking broth was extra the server did not tell us this. It was $180 for 2 people.

We always go for the 4 course special and are never disappointed. The cheese fondue had crab in it, and we loved the lobster with the main course. It was nice that all the dipping things with the chocolate fondue were complimentary! Great service without feeling rushed. It's still pretty expensive but hard to beat for a special occasion.

We asked to be seated in the secluded back rooms on Valentine’s Day and since they were all full our waiter gave us free drinks, it was very nice and the placement is extremely romantic. By far one of my favourite restaurants to go to for a date!

We had to wait so long for our meat that we thought about leaving. The staff apologized but it was still very frustrating.
Also I was expecting something special given it was my dad and my birthday, we came for a special occasion but you didn't even took time to do a small gesture to acknowledge it, very disappointing.

We had to wait for half an hour at the front even with a reservation. The waiter didn't come to see us at least fo half an hour and we eventually went to the bar to get drinks ourselves. Our waiter was a nice guy, but he keeps forgetting stuff from our order. Food wasn't bad. We were sitting at a table where water was dripping on us slowly throughout the night. It wasn't a great for our experience. Quite disappointed .

This was my first visit to The Melting Pot and my friends really hyped it up for me, I walked in expecting greatness and because I set my expectations so high I think that’s why I was a bit disappointed. The food was good but I was hoping for better. Our server wasn’t around all that often and in his defence it was quite busy but with that being said we never once got a drink refill and our cups were dirty. I did like the intimate feel of the restaurant, we have a private booth in the back and it was great for our date night. I would go back but I’m in no rush to do so.

Very good food! Very busy when we came in (supper around Valentine’s Day)- but our server always made sure we were taken care of, even if it was just asking a different server to bring us our stuff ! It’s a long process. Leave yourself 2-3 hours when going here to eat! Overall very good.

Our bill for 4 was 289 with tip. The experience was good but I found the value was expensive and next tim would leave the meat out did not care for the oil and most of the sauces but cheese and dessert was outstanding. Waiter was excellent just thought it was very expensive 300 without beverages.

Our reservations were for 8:30pm, we didn’t get seated until 9:00pm and no one even came to our table until after 9:30pm. This was extremely frustrating, we were ready to walk out. It was a special occasion and we were trying not to let the terrible service ruin our celebration. When we finally did get service, it wasn’t good. Very disorganized and definitely very slow. I was hoping a manager would come to the table to check on things because I would have addressed these concerns in person. That also did not happen. For a restaurant that claims to be “fine dining” and also charges high prices- service is a must. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The server was great and manager as well. However we were pretty disappointed with the cost compared to what you get for it ... paid a lot of money for just dessert fondue. We also had to wait for over 25 minutes for the table that we made a reservation for. That seems a bit strange and made it hectic with a large party. There isn’t much room to wait anywhere.

The Melting Pot experience has changed over the past few years. What was earlier a good relaxing experience has now become somewhat rushed with the newer time limit. As the experience was rushed, the fondue oil never did get hot enough to properly cook the food before getting oil soaked.

We had to send back a number of utensils because they were dirty when we received them. When we asked for a replacement soup spoon, it was returned to us wet, as if the server just rinsed it and brought it back.

This was our sixth or seventh visit to the restaurant and it seems to be a less desirable experience every time. At the cost of dining here, one would think that it would be an awesome experience everytime with a possible off day. But for it to be worse every time, it will likely be the last visit.

The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars for value is we find it expensive. We're glad to go for a special occasion or treat, but always cringe a little when the bill comes. Food, atmosphere, and experience are great.

Went for Valentine's Day. Our server was friendly. Got a nice quiet and intimate spot. Was so full by the end - pace yourself and don't eat more than you have to just because they bring free food top ups.

I didn't like how our table space was so cramped. Same with the legroom in the L shaped seating area. The heat ventilation seemed inadequate for fondue at our table as I sweated quite heavily eventually. I had to walk outside to cool down and get air.

On a less serious note, don't wear a black dress shirt if you go on a date because that's what the staff look like haha

We recently went to the Melting Pot for our Anniversary. The service was good. We were there a half hour early for our reservation and they were able to accommodate us by seating us a bit early. Wait staff were attentive and we were allowed to substitute different meats without a problem. This restaurant is perfect for special occasions-a little pricey but worth the experience.
