We had to ask several times for the drinks we ordered. We also ordered a dark chocolate fondue and received milk chocolate instead. We waited for awhile for more bread and food. The experience was ok but not worth the cost

Service was excellent, food was delicious.

Even with reservations we were nearly half an hour late to be seated and then our meal took 3 hours to complete. Expect to take your time - it is worth it though (time-wise).

This was an expensive night out for what we ate. Not crazy-expensive but enough to be particular about how often and when we return.

Overall, not being in a hurry, we had a very nice meal and night out. We expect to return on some other special occasion and recommend it for same.

Celebrated 2 birthdays here on the long weekend. The service was excellent and the food, top notch. Highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion. The entire dining experience takes about 2.5 hrs so it’s a great visiting opportunity for family or friends.

Love the different dining experience you get at the melting pot. Nice to try the different types of fondue. Kids love the chocolate fondue. Nice way to celebrate special occasions.

Quite disappointed with their Mother’s Day brunch. We were seated and waited 30 minutes before anyone even came by with a glass of water. The Mother’s Day brunch menu left a lot to be desired. “Eggs benny” fondue was basically just cheese with ham and mayonnaise and white bread and sausage for dipping. Definitely wasn’t worth the $35/person. We have had dinner there and enjoyed it but this Mother’s Day brunch was something we wouldn’t recommend.

We went there for Mother's Day and chose their Mother's Day Brunch set menu but what was on the menu wasn't what came out. I didn't realize this until the next day but regardless, the food was really good.

Our group of 4 adults and one child went to the Melting Pot for Mother's Day Brunch. The food was really good but unfortunately the service was not up to the standard that I'm used to from the Melting Pot. Our server had a very quiet voice and was very hard to understand. We were at the 10am seating and the restaurant wasn't extreemly busy yet and our server took 15 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered them. Then upon finishing the cheese course we still hadn't been offered refills on drinks. There was another server who came to bus the table who was very attentive. The room where we were seated had only 2 other tables in it. Aside from the Mother's Day Brunch menu, no other specials or gifts or flowers were offered which was disappointing especially considering that even Boston Pizza was giving flowers to moms.
After this experience I will be waiting a while to return to the Melting Pot but will give it another try in the future.

Service was great but we reserved the place for 9:30pm and did not get seated close to 10pm. I think they missed the concept of reservation. Other than that it was good.

Honestly - I was not impressed at all, In fact if it had not been for my mothers day dinner and my mom insisting on this place I would have walked out. We waited over an 45 minutes for our table and that was with a reservation at 9 pm mind you so we were seated at about 10pm. We were not offered any considerations and overheard them being made to many other people who waited less then us. My mom is a diabetic and has trouble walking so waiting that long was rather stressful on her. After the wait we ordered a meal that really was sub-par. The only saving grace was the waitress Nicola? I believe is the spelling, who was a delight.

We have been many times, we had my son in town for a Mothers day weekend. Sat at the bar for 15 min and had to listen to staff complain about each other and how they were jammed, then continually turning down other staff who asked for help. Then we were seated 6 feet away from the bar with a temp burner, cord running through my legs. Then our server starting apologizing (this was the only conversation anyone had with her/also how power went out earlier and they were slammed) Then we watched as our first fondue bowl started smoking, we had to call out as no staff who continually walked by noticed. Then we had our salad(usually we have this after our cheese?) Then we had our broth, which boiled for 13 min, we were given two bowls of broccolli(from bags, yuck, and Crimmili Mush's, No potatoes, we were told they didn't look good??? This one started to smoke and we pulled it off the burner. Then we were apologized to again as we were still waiting, we were offered more bread, potatoes but never received anything. Then we had our chocolate and as we were 70 percent through when our pot started smoking again, staff continued to apologize to every table but didn't notice so we pulled it off the burner again. They were getting comments from other tables regarding the smoke as it filled the area. As we are not one to complain and my visiting Son is not comfortable with it we just kept mentioning things politely. I did mention our disappointment with our experience and she went to start with the long apology, she had told us more them a dozen times, I stopped her and mentioned our huge disappointment our whole family had. She offered a manager. I queitly declined her offer as we have always had a manager come by to see us during our previous visits. PS my son also had water poured into his pants and down his legs. No one cleaned up the spill so people were slipping and sliding including staff. So we spent any other time warning people. Sadly our last time at the Melting Pot.

The food is always great. Its fresh and full of flavor. Not to disappoint, The only issue being that it was very very hot inside last time we were there. We had also made reservations for 7:30pm but were not sat till almost 8pm. I would expect this had I not had a reservation. The server was also not on his game. He was very slow and even brought our food to the table left it on the tray and took a debit machine to another 2 tables before we were given our food and even given the plates in which to eat our food off of. It was slow and very disorganized. Would I come back, yes. But make sure its not for some special occasion that everyone celebrates as the service and people do not total up to what your bill will be at the end of the night. The hostess's are far from even being friendly. You ask a question you get a coached answer. I get there is pre programmed responses, but have some sincerity or even some honesty. If you tell us were next make sure were next don't seat the other people and than us. I will return but If made to wait for a table I guess they lose a regular customer.

Terrible day before Mother’s Day experience
Poor dismissive service
This place that used to be my favourite has become so commercialized that it has definitely lost the magic it once had. Portions have decreased and variety of desserts has diminished.
Second time in a row of terrible service
Will not return

The food was great. Not sure if our waiter was new or not, but definitely the worst service I have had at a melting pot and it was still ok. Spilled cheese sauce all over the table while stirring and never really checked to see if the food was good or not. Didn’t speak loud enough that he could be heard. It was ok, just not the super, amazing service we have had in the past.

The best food I've ever had, along with the best drink (a smoky drink with bourbon--tasted amazing!!). The service was amazing, and they even made it extra special for our anniversary.

I would highly recommend everyone to go here. Be prepared for a dining experience that could take up to 2.5 hours to fully enjoy, and is worth every minute of it.

I would say it's a high cost for the food, but it's also worth every penny. Frankly, it was probably the best dining experience of my entire life. We will definitely be coming back.

We came as a family to the Melting Pot. It was our second time. All ages of my family enjoyed it tremendously. As it got busier, the service slipped a bit, no refills on drinks, taking a long time for requested items. The experience of this restaurant is unique.

Pretty expensive, prices for a group are not really detailed very well. It's really something I would only go to for a very special occasion or maybe 'just desert'. I could have just done cheese and chocolate-very good by the way.

When spending over $200 on dinner for two, a certain level of quality is expected and unfortunately what we received was a restaurant staffed with unprofessional, untrained teenagers. We were seated and then had to ask for the table to be cleaned because it was sticky in places and crusty in others. The first course of cheese was good but prepared by a waiter that had dirt under his fingernails. We were not able to eat the salad course because both salads were absolutely soaked in dressing and the waiter was completely uninterested, when this problem was raised he simply took the salads away and that was the end of it! The main course was mediocre followed a decent chocolate but the men’s bathroom had a water covered floor the entire night! Why was this not being mopped up? Where did this water come from? Toilet? Did I just spend $220 to walk in toilet water? This restaurant was once a decent place to eat but it’s now the most overpriced establishment in the city and I do not recommend eating here. You get better service and better food for $30 at a BP’s.

I made an on line reservation for 8:30 pm. We arrived on time and we were pleasantly greeted by a young lady and our reservation was confirmed. We were than told we would have a small wait as our table was not ready yet. We were than sent to the lounge area where we sat down and had a drink while we waited. We waited approximately an hour before our table was ready. The drinks we had in the lounge were comped by the manager because of the amount of time we waited. Everything else that followed was absolutely perfect. We had a great table, fantastic food and fantastic service. Thank you for the drinks and we will definitely be returning when we get another opportunity...........Terry

The service is normally great but that wasn’t our experience today. After getting seated and getting water we waited 10 min before our server came to the table. We waited 15 min for drinks and another 20 for our cheese fondue. Cheese fondue was done and we waited another 25+ for our meet to come. We had 5 different servers come to the table. A were pleasant just not super organized. Oil was hotter than it was supposed to be and there was splattering.

I will go back ..... I’m just disappointed overall I. The experience.

We tried the lunch menu for first time... have eaten here several times for dinner. Great meal every time!
We loved the Quattro Formaggio cheese fondue, Caesar salad, and milk chocolate fondue. Amazing food and the price is decent since the items used for dipping are complimentary so you can enjoy every last little bit of cheese or chocolate or refill only the favorites, if you want.
Made a reservation using the Open Table app and it was so easy!
Highly recommend The Melting Pot and Open Table App :)

Overall our experience was great .
Alcoholic beverages are very expensive and did not have canadian beer .
Food was plentiful !! We even shared the classic and was stuffed.
Took 3 hrs from start to finish (great for winter , not on a summer hot day ).
Found it expensive and would only go back possibly once a year if that .
All staff were very friendly .
I'm celiac so they catered to my needs very well !!
