   Not the usual experience we have become accustomed to when dining here. Our service was rushed with the entree arriving before we had finished the appetizer. Also the entree was significantly disappointing compared to the same item we enjoyed a week earlier, there was too much sauce. Previously we have always enjoyed this restaurant, we will hope this was a off night but will have to think about returning there when we come back to Scottsdale

   The Mission is one of our Scottsdale favorites, and the services is always exceptional. I love the atmosphere and the options of seating - inside on the bottom or top floor and even outside on their patio. The food is phenomenal - the gauc is a MUST! We always spring for the tacos. Simple but full of flavor. Highly recommend!

   Super Mexican restaurant, consistently good the guacamole made at the table to your taste was wonderful , the waiters suggested entree was amazing, my wife who is not a big fan of pork loved it. Only wish the still had the Avocado margarita. Will be back

   The food was ok initially but then as everyone got home…all of us had severe stomach pain. Turns out the chips were not cooked to code and the food might have been contaminated.

   This is my wife's favorite restaurant! We love it! Not a cheap meal but worth what you pay! It's a great atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Specialty drinks are fantastic, tableside guac is fantastic, Chorizo Porchetta is my favorite thing on the menu and my wife swears by the Crispy pork& Cola Lime Glaze Tacos! Perfect way to end the night is the pumpkin bread pudding!

   Table side guacamole was a great start. We ordered a variety of entrees and sides - all were very good. Didn’t have room for desert but the cappuccino and espresso were perfect endings. Expectations were not high going in because I’m not a big fan of Mexican cuisine. My wife is, since she was raised in AZ, so this was her recommendation. The menu is as advertised - more Latin-focused. Even the salsa served with the chips was the right amount of ‘mild spicy’. The only minor criticism is the service. To be fair, it was Mother’s Day, but it didn’t seem that busy - not even for a Sunday. Good value though. We’d go back.

    Every time we eat here, I always have the best time. The food is excellent, they have a great selection of unique margaritas, and the restaurant has a nice energy to it.

    I can't bring myself to spend $20 on a margarita and $40 on pork tacos. If you don't have a problem throwing your money away, then this is the restaurant for you. I personally don't!

    Nice interior, hostesses were not friendly. We sat on the patio and it was fine. The food was, unfortunately, not good at all. We ordered the $95 Porterhouse and it was extremely fatty and unevenly cooked. The corn tortillas were coated in grease and inedible. The sides were also not great. The Brussels were undercooked and I had a bite with raw bacon. The white bean dip was flavorless. Our server was very attentive, but we felt rushed. The cost of this meal was outrageous relative to the quality. We cannot recommend The Mission will not be returning.

    We were seated quickly and the Hostess was friendly. The table side guacamole was delicious as always! Chris our waiter was very attentive and accommodating.. The atmosphere on the terrace is great! All in all well done “ The Mission” 👍

    Location, decor, ambiance and cocktails were amazing. Our server was slow and we had to ask for chips and salsa which I thought was weird, but maybe they don’t provide to all tables right away? The street corn was my fav dish. The chef likes to use way too much agave or sugar because the pork shoulder while tender was so sweet. I had to drown out the sweet taste with avocado and salsa. Their homemade tortillas and tacos were excellent however the corn tortillas did seem a bit dried out from the heat lamp. Overall disappointed in this recommended and popular restaurant while visiting Scottsdale. I guess I’m used to the Javier service and quality of food of Orange County CA. I would come only for drinks and apps

    This is a a nice restaurant and I do enjoy fine dining at times but the food here is not worth the cost. We ordered guacamole for an app. They make it at the table. It depends who makes it for you because we got half the serving that the table next to us received. The tacos are about the size of your palm. They call them street tacos but they are smaller than any other street taco I have had. I ordered the chicken which came with cheesy rice. The chicken had a red/orange sauce on it that was a bit spicy with an unusual taste. I tried to scrap it off so I could enjoy the chicken but then it was dry. I could not enjoy the rice because they put the children on top of it so it got red sauce on it. If you wanted to order a side (beans, rice, grits) they are $10 each and not a shareable size. The server was attentive but the best part of the meal was the flour tortillas (which are extra) and the chips and salsa. I would not recommend especially in an area that has many restaurants to choose from.

    Brunch. It’s everyone’s favorite Sunday ritual… sort of.. unless church is your ritual… or you can combine the two and end up at The Mission. I go to the Mission a lot because it’s close to home, and their taco bar at brunch can be a vibe. Today, we went because we wanted to actually try more than tacos and overpriced margaritas. So we did. Their brunch menu is slightly different than their dinner service menu, but it didn’t disappoint. It was a VERY different atmosphere in comparison to a Friday or Saturday night. It was a lot more laidback, which was nice… except the service was actually pretty terrible. Which was a shame.

    We have eaten here several times and the food is good. We were seated on the upstairs patio and were given a choice of two tables, each next to speakers that were playing loud, stale dance music. When we first started going to this restaurant they played interesting Latin music and it fit the mood. The music during this visit was excessive in the high range and badly needed adjustment. It’s as hard to imagine who they were appealing to. I didn’t see any of the diners dancing (average age on this Monday night was 60+).

    Was ok, but not somewhere I would look to go back to. Service was not great either. Made reservations for an outside table where we were seated on a terrace outside at 8 pm in the dark. Could not see food to puck out the fatty meat we didn’t want to eat.

    We had to wait 25 minutes past the time for our reserved table. It then took another 5 minutes to get water and to be greeted once seated. We ordered drinks which took over 10 minutes to get. So overall the service was s-l-o-w! The guacamole was made to order at the table and was delicious! A definite must-have. We had the tacos (mahi mahi, chicken and butternut squash) which were beautifully presented and excellent! Has a side of the poblano grit which were quite tasty if not a bit salty. Overall, a beautiful ambience, a bit loud and dark, so-so service in terms of wait times (and no, I wasn’t in a hurry), and delicious food.

    Overall was a nice dining experience. Was nice to see they started having some kids items even if they don't have a kids menu. They made a quesadilla for the kids which is perfect. They should add a bean burrito too, they have the ingredients. I love the ambiance and on a nice day such a great place to sit on the patio. The service was excellent on this visit as well. The reason for 4 stars was the food was good, not great. The empanadas were fantastic and I love their chips, salsa and guac. The Chorizo Porcetta was only decent. The flavor was good and the texture was fine, but it was like eating meatloaf and with only the white bean puree as a complement to the dish it was missing something either a sauce or something else. Just overall while fine, not great. My wife ordered the half roasted chicken. We added the tortillas as recommended, but in the end the chicken was a little dry, decent flavor, but also wasn't anything that special and wouldn't order again. Next time I will just stick with the chips and tacos and have a five star visit.

    Went for an early lunch during the week. It was maybe 1/2 full, but the noise level was down so we could carry on a conversation. Eric was our waiter. He was a combination of knowledge, friendliness and skill. He was attentive without being intrusive. And he introduced me to a wonderful Pinot Blanc from France.

    The Mission was our worst experience at a restaurant in years; starting from the lukewarm reception when we checked in; to the waitstaff who could not generate a smile even when asked. The only positive was the margaritas. The prawns were over cooked with the accompanying sauces dominating the plate. We cancelled the rest of our order and left. It was not even busy, so there is really no excuse for the poor, unfriendly service.

    We were really looking forward to the dinner. The restaurant has a great reputation, at least the other one does. To start, the ambiance was amazing, we absolutely loved it. The service was slow, very slow. The server was nice enough and I’m not sure if they were understaffed but they were super slow getting to us. Regarding the food, that was disappointing. The guac, chips, and salsa were great but everything else, including desert just left me frustrated. I felt it was dry and seasoned horribly. My wife and I don’t get out much with 3 kids but to be honest we won’t ever be going again. Super let down! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you want some guac and beer(:

    We always love eating here. The food never disappoints. We did notice this time that the cocktails were mediocre. For an almost $20 margarita we were disappointed. If you are going to charge that much and serve it next to outstanding food, you need to step up your craft cocktail game. Otherwise, the service was excellent and we left satiated and happy.

    Love the ambiance here! The guacamole and the street corn appetizer are excellent . Only complaint was we had a 7:30 reso and didn't seat us until 7:52. With no check in with us or acknowledge they were running behind . PS definitely drink the red Sangria !
