   Spent $265 and was told by waitress that our table had a reservation in 20 minutes. We had already eaten and table was just cleared but were chatting for a few minutes prior to leaving. The comment was completely unnessary. If it was 5 minutes before next reservation I would have understood. I found the comment very rude and unwelcoming, especially after spending so much money. It put a damper on any good feelings I had towards the meal.

   We had a table for 8 for lunch. Table side guacamole was amazing and so was the salsa. Great margaritas too! Whole group liked their food. I would definitely go back - staff was very helpful and friendly also.

    Loved the ambiance and food but waitress was so rude and unprofessional because we only ordered tacos and drinks. We got exactly what we wanted and loved it. I just can’t stand a server that tries to sell a higher ticket.

    We were overall overwhelmed. Staying at a nearby hotel and was recommended this place. The guacamole wasn’t even mixed and we had chunks of avocado which made it hard to eat. Also the dessert was below average, don’t be fooled.

    Amazing everything! Mezcal old fashions were flowing as were the steak and brussel sprout tacos, and many other things we tried but I forgot now. Highly recommend

    While the ambience, waitress & food were all great, the manager we had interacted with was the worst. She was the most inconsiderate, rude and lazy person I’ve encountered in a upscale restaurant. She put a black eye on an otherwise great meal and service. She is doing a huge disservice to all the good employees.

    The music was so loud for a Sunday afternoon and got louder as the time went on. I can appreciate fun lively music but when u have to shout to the person next to you and u can’t hear the waitress that is ridiculous! It’s was a sun afternoon not a Saturday night at 11:00pm. However, the food was delicious and the waitress did the beat she could.

    The Mission Old Town may be my favorite restaurant in the Valley. Delicious and moody, you feel like you have had a night on the town. The Old Town Mission is a very different experience from the Kierland Restaurant which is also good, just doesnt have the same vibe.

    We chose The Mission for my birthday dinner and it was a fantastic choice! My date and I started with prickly pear margaritas which were perfectly done and oh so good. We tried the Mission Guacamole which was made tableside and was the best quac I had ever had. We then had the Roasted Pork Shoulder tacos and it was delicious; we would definitely go back again just for those! Overall it was a wonderful experience.

    We visited The Mission for our anniversary dinner while in Scottsdale. This is now our new favorite restaurant, ever. The food, the lighting, the service. Everything was perfect. We will travel back just to go there again.

    No issues with food but overpriced and expected more based on reviews. Place is super dark inside, very noisy, and a mish mash of people in shorts and others dressed smart casual. Servers were courteous and prompt.

    I am traveling to Scottsdale so this was a first time visit. The food was really good. I liked the guacamole made at my table. The entree was porchetta (pork seasoned and roasted for hours). Dessert was pumpkin bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Service was very good. What was not appealing was very low lighting and high noise level. I needed the flashlight from my phone to read the menu. (The waiter even commented to the next table that it's sometimes hard for him to see whether a plate needs taken away.) The music was loud and upbeat, more like a dancing club than a an expensive dining experience . The guest noise level was high to talk over the music. Since I'm not a loud talker, it was a plus to be there on my own and not have to shout across the table. I would go again for the food. It is very good and distinctive. I would go on my own and request seating in the area just inside the entry way, which was outside the "club sound" interior dining area. For a diner who prefers a loud club-like atmosphere l, this is your place. For relaxing or romantic dining, it is not that place.

    Good vibe at The Mission. You have to start with the home made Guacamole prepared tableside......it is great and customizable. The drinks were a bit high for the size. Adding an additional $3 for a splash of Gran Marnier to a marg seems a bit petty. All of our meals were good and the staff was very nice.....checked on us a few too many times but that is better than not often enough.

    First time here and now one of our favorites in the Valley. Had guac, street corn, and shrimp appetizers. Really enjoyed the steak tacos and pumpkin bread pudding dessert. I was anxious given the portion size comments on reviews. The tortillas are small, but I found the meat/toppings to be filling and no cause for concern.

    We sat inside which was dark but quiet. The service was not well organized. It was my birthday and when we arrived on time for our reservation the hostess was on the phone and left us standing without any acknowledgement for over 5 minutes. The waitstaff was slow and I unorganized. The waiter brought the complementary birthday desert to the table before all the lunch dishes were cleared. Then took it away and brought it back with a sparkler when I was away in the bathroom. No one asked if we would like to order dessert. So we cleaned our lunch forks in our water glasses and shared the complementary dessert. I would suggest the waitstaff or manager get better organized with service flow. Food was good and portions are small. I recommend the pecan waffles from the brunch menu. Music was nice and easy inside and the back patio seemed very loud.

    Very happy The Mission offers group reservations. I recommend outdoors as inside is a bit dark for a lunch reso. Food is good but portions are insanely small. Load up on the delicious chips and salsa.

    This restaurant is one of our favorites since moving here five years ago. We have always had wonderful service. Today we had a great waiter named Arturo. Super food and Margaritas for Cinco de Mayo. We always get the guacamole prepared table side and the salsa. Everything was delicious. I might recommend the appropriate music for the ambiance. We arrived for our 11:15am reservation and got seated immediately. She walked us out to the patio and began to seat us at the very back table in the sun with a puddle underneath. Now that being said we were there early and about maybe 10 tables were occupied in the whole restaurant. The outdoor patio had 2. My husband didn’t want the table she took us to and pointed out that there were many open tables available, she said she was saving those for pushing together for larger parties. (8 + golfers were just turned away before we got sat) As we enjoyed our lunch the back patio was still not full and those tables were never pushed together. The first point of contact was less than friendly or happy in general, perhaps hiring is tougher these days but perhaps having someone who enjoys their job is and making that first point of interaction should be a priority. We will go back of coarse.
