    Delicious cocktails, fantastic food, and great service. We were in on a quiet Sunday night, so we were afforded plenty of time to enjoy all of the above at a leisurely pace. I’ll definitely be going back for more cocktails and tapas!

    An excellent little restaurant for brunch! Fresh interior, super cheerful staff, and an interesting menu. My husband loved his frittata, and I really enjoyed my “steak and eggs”. We shared an avocado toast with blistered tomatoes as a starter, and it was also very tasty. It’s not your regular “greasy spoon” type of restaurant, it’s way more classy. Their menu is inspired, with exciting little touches, and beautiful presentation, garnished with micro greens and so on. Their bread is to die for, fried in olive-oil, so it’s crispy and light at the same time, with charred grille marks, which I love. It was a bit early in the day for us to order drinks, but we may come back one evening to try them out because the drink menu looked exciting as well.

    We had gotten quite a few recommendations to check out The Monterey. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. The only thing that was a bit of a downfall for us was that we did not know that the squid was fried- it was a fried calamari. Other items on the menu specified that they were fried- this did not.

    What a great experience. Music was a bit loud for conversation but was lowered upon request. Taking another friend the next day to try more dishes.

    We dined with my 92 and 90 year old parents. The music was so loud we couldn't have a conversation. I did ask if it could be turned down but nothing happened. If we wanted to listen to music we would go to a concert , however when we go out to dine we want to be able to have a conversation. This noise level appears to be the norm and it's very disappointing. It's just noise. Of note, all 4 in our party are professional musicians

    Food was great but wasn't a big fan of the tacos. Tuna tartar was amazing as was the chicken although thigh was huge. Breaking it up into two or three pieces would have been better. The grated tomatoes on bread was good and fresh. The Auroran cocktail was delish as was the Sweet Jesus I think my husband had. Service was excellent as was the vibe. Pricey but good! Look forward to going back to try more!

    Best brunch I’ve had at a restaurant in quite some time. The avocado toast was sinfully delicious and the chorizo hash is my new fave!!

    What a wonderful addition to the Aurora food scene. Go hungry. Better when you have more people so you can try more items. I would suggest though that the restaurant add notations such as GF or VE. One of us is gluten free and it was hard to identify items that are in fact gluten free, though the server did an incredible job informing us and was very knowledgeable. We will definitely return.

    Food was great as always, especially the Tacos. The hamburger was good but over cooked (think medium well - well done). Missing the polenta squares, hope they make it back onto the menu.

    Amazing food and cocktail experience tonight. Delicious and nicely presented cocktails. Good variety of tapas - each one served to perfection. Will definitely return to sample the rest of the menu. Service was excellent. Our server provided great drink and menu recommendations. Loved the vibe of this place.     Each dish was prepared and presented with excellence. The food was absolutely delicious! Cocktails were beautiful and unique. Our server was wonderful! Can’t wait to go back and try brunch!! The Monterey is my new fave little place in Aurora.

    We dined here a 2nd time in two weeks because we enjoyed it so much. This time we tried a few new dishes and some that we’ve had before. It’s hard not to “over order” here because everything sounds so delicious. So we had a doggie bag again this time.

    Lots of great choices for tapas! Enjoyed the eggplant and shrimp dishes the most. Beef tacos were a but too oily for us, but tasty.

    First time here and I will definitely be back! My sisters and I went to the Fishbone (same owner) across the street last month and were recommended to try The Monterey! We were so glad we did! They went above and beyond to make the meal special for my sisters birthday. I was able to have lots of options even with a gluten and dairy allergy as well. Highly recommend!
