   My wife and I were greeted by the staff and, although the pub/restaurant was pretty full, we were made to feel special. It was our Wedding Anniversary, and we were given a glass of bubbly each "on the house". The food came quickly and was beautifully prepared. Every morsel was a treat. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and everything about it. Thank you

   Food was delicious, probably the best Sunday roast we ever had. Our foreign guests were very pleased. Ambience is great as well so as the service. Great experience overall - just a note on price that could be a tad lower to add even more value.

   Always great food and service at The Moorfields. My wife had the chicken burger special which she loved. I had the trio of lamb - all good but would have been even better to have been asked how I like my lamb cooked (rare) and also a bit more of the merguez sausage please - two tiny bits not enough! Otherwise a typically top notch experience.

   The Moorfields is one of my favourite places to go. The staff are always so friendly and helpful and the food is always delicious. I love the garden too where we ordered pimms from the outside bar. 5 stars all round.

    My wife and I have always had a wonderful Sunday roast in the past. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the belly pork was barely warm and the side of cauliflower cheese and leek was very dry. I would have mentioned it to a member of staff, but no one checked back on us. Left a little disappointed, but hoping it was just a ‘blip’ and things will be back to normal the next time we visit.

    Delicious food with good quantities for the price. We had the Sunday roast and our son declared that it was the best chicken breast he had ever eaten. The pork belly was amazing too. Very friendly and attentive service.

    We had an excellent Sunday roast- just delicious & plentiful! Loved the variety of veggies 🥗provided & Yorkshire Pud’S were the best! The lad serving was very jolly & amiable without being obsequious. All in all a delightful experience! Sara & family

    Second visit. We all agreed it was the best roast dinner we had ever had (8 in the group). Melt in the mouth pork with a generous amount of gravy and really well cooked and tasty veggies. The lamb was the same. 2 of us had the most amazing burgers. The wine was lovely too. I messed up the booking and booked a table for 6 when we needed 8. They couldn’t have been more helpful and didn’t make me feel embarrassed. Can’t wait to go back. Excellent on Saturdays too. But obviously no roast.

    Took the whole family here to Sunday lunch, Thats five of us, Table was great and love the high bench seating, Food was excellent and the staff attentive and quick, this one goes in out top 5 without at doubt. Will be visiting again for sure.

    We are regulars but this visit left us disappointed! Service was slow, we ordered roasts which took a long time to arrive. The portions have shrunk with only a tiny amount over very over cooked veg, leaving us all hungry when we left. Lamb was tough and chewy with fat not rendered down and chicken was dry. In summary we don’t usually object to paying £19.50 for a roast but expect it to be quality which this was sadly far from!

    Great pie and a pint meeting place. Steak and ale pie with chips was very tasty and the Bristol beer washed it down very well. Friendly and efficient staff in very pleasant surroundings. What is not to like?

    A little disappointed. The majority of the meal (Sunday roast) was excellent but the roast potatoes were very overcooked. The outside was rock hard, to the point where when I tried to cut into one of them it shot across the plate onto the floor and splashed my trousers in gravy in the process 🤣. The inside of the roast potatoes was virtually hollow where they had been overcooked so much. It was the same last time we had a Sunday roast there. I was hoping that was a one off but clearly it wasn’t. The roast isn’t cheap so having a key ingredient spoiled makes the overall value poor.

    Our group of 3 enjoyed their food very much but I did not enjoy the Cajun Chicken burger much as the Chicken was not very moist or 'Cajuny'. Everything else was fine.

    Roast was nice. Service not amazing. We only had 1 course. Waiting staff forgot to come back with pudding menu and when they did come back and we asked for coffee, we were told our time was up on the table and could we move to the bar area. Service definitely not worth the service charge. I didn’t make an issue of it as was with friends. I won’t be rushing back but that’s my experience. Hopefully better for other diners
