We’re not your traditional Mexican place. We just happen to think that tacos are a dish best served fun, with a side of liquor. Welcome to The Mule, where tacos, tequila and bourbon come to party.
Located in one of Hamilton’s most beautiful spaces, we think we’ll be your new favourite lunch spot, your regular late-night haunt and your go-to destination for a good drink. Our bartenders have crafted a bourbon- and tequila-focused cocktail menu that will surprise and fascinate, and we also have a variety of beers on tap.

Staff was super friendly and accommodating with dietary restrictions. I didn't drink but my friends all loved the Golden Snitch. Tacos were amazing, definitely worth coming back for!

Once again, incredible! Food was perfect, service was top-tier (as always), the entire experience was absolutely great. Quick service, waitress was very attentive. Food and drinks were excellent and served quite quickly even on a Friday night. 10/10 vibes, food, drinks and service. Highly recommend!

As always, the brussel sprout tacos are the best tacos in Hamilton (and maybe even Toronto!). Their margaritas are pretty good, too! On a street of great restaurants (King William Street), this one is our go-to when we are in the Hammer!

Where do I start... I booked reservations almost 3 weeks ahead , and updated changes to party number as soon as I found out from friends who had COVID exposure trying to be as respectful as possible . Seemed fine. We get there and it took 30 minutes to get drinks for the 7 of us, when our server Patty took our order I asked to place my food order because I was hungry and being Saturday night I know it's busy. She refused and said she would return shortly , she did not. When we arrived at 9 for our reservation half of the back room was not filled yet - and we watched as our server took food orders for the new patrons that had reservations at 930 and still did not come to our table. At 945 I had had enough and called a restaurant down the street to take us. I asked to speak to the waitress to let her know why we were all leaving and she seemed shocked and tried to argue that she had not ignored us. She absolutely did. 3 in our party work in the industry and there was no excuse for the terrible service. Drop by the table and say you need a few minutes . Definitely DO NOT serve patrons first for a reservation later than ours. It was appalling and ruined my night. We left without food/one drink served at 955 pm. I love this restaurant however no apology given , no contact from supervisor. Just terrible and will never recommend again.

Though I understand the perspective you were not being attended to, our server was waiting for everyone at your table to be ready before taking the food order to ensure that all meals could be prepared and served at the same time. That being said, we understand that communication could have been better in this situation so that nobody was left feeling ignored. We will certainly use this as a coaching moment for our staff to improve their communication with our guests. They sell individual tacos for $6 each. You can order different individual ones. The choice is excellent and the ones we tried were very good. Service was good and quick. We had a starter guacamole with avocado dip - very good.

Hi there! My names Kandel I had a party of seven on Saturday November 4th for a birthday and I just wanted to reach out and sing a few praises! The entire staff was incredible as always! Everyone is so warm and welcoming, it creates such a great atmosphere! We had a few people that were new to The Mule and they were blown away by the kind, attentive staff! The food and drinks were fantastic! As always were blown away by the freshness and presentation of all! I wanted to specially thank Patty and Kailey for their impeccable service, they both made my birthday incredibly special and I can’t thank them enough for it! We were absolutely blown away by Patty’s extreme generosity regarding our bill. Also a special thanks to Kailey for saving my debit card from the ATM machine! We love coming to The Mule and look so forward to it every time we come in, thank you for providing such a wonderful environment to always come back to! Looking forward to seeing you all soon! The tacos were delish as always, really love the one with roasted brussel sprouts! Our server was friendly and prompt, not intrusive. The crowd picked up quite a bit during our stay so the noise level increased gradually but not uncomfortably.

Had a great time, had to modify our reservation time and they were very accommodating. Food, drinks and staff all terrific. Love the restaurant is totally gluten free it allowed my friend to order from entire menu!

Found this resto on the internet, number 5 on tripadvisor in Hamilton. Did not realize they only had apps and tacos on the menu. Was looking for Mexican. My fault for not doing research. Good place for drinks, lots of options, more than options on menu. Not a lot of veggie options. Good place for young, hip kids but not so much for old folks. Food was excellent.

Possibly our best outing at the Mule ever! Huge thank you to Keltey for phenomenal service - truly above and beyond! Also, thank you to Kailey & Katie, it's always great to see our favourite's at The Mule!!! Food was incredible, kitchen staff nailed our very specific order (yet again) - this is why it's so hard for us to stay away for more than 6 days, haha! Went there for our anniversary dinner, my wife is celiac so she loved being there ,and being able to order whatever was on the menu. The staff were very helpful in letting us know what was in certain dishes, food was delicious, and fairly priced!!!

The tacos were so good. I think the oyster mushroom was my favourite! Our waitress was so lovely and sweet. She was great with the recommendations and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. The music was fantastic! The mule is an experience.

As usual, my time was great! My favourite part of going I'd trying the new menu items and cocktails - It's rarely a fail! We were 10 minutes late for our reservation and our table was still available upon our arrival. Our seat was not in the best location so we asked to change our seat when other tables opened up. Our server glady accommodated our request. We have had the same serve a few times now and they are exceptional! I believe their name is Pam. Unfortunately, because we changed seats, we no longer had them as our server and the new server (second time having the new server) was not nearly as good; impatient, very sweaty and poor attire. Luckily, I love this place too much to let one server ruin my experiences there. I will be back again soon!

We had a reservation. They sat us 15 minutes late, and then asked us to leave 30 mins before our reservation was over. I said no we’d be staying till 10 when our reservation was over. The food was eh and the drinks were very small & expensive for what we got. Will not be back.

Tasty tacos, wings, aops and drinks… very casual, busy, fast paced. Food and drinks arrives very promptly, hot and fresh. Servers very busy, but just did their job.
