   This is one of the most outstanding locations for a restaurant in Vancouver. The fondue was a good choice for the space because it is a meal you can linger over and enjoy the space. The wait staff was excellent. I would say it would be nice to break it up with a salad or a wedge of cake for dessert though.

   View was awesome we had the best seat in the place. The food was ok nothing to Wright home about but ok. Our server was good. The sky was clear so we had an excellent panorama view of everything. We would recommend just going for the view alone like I said the food was still just ok.

   Had the fondue 3 course meal. First course was good Swiss cheese fondue with fingerling potatoes and dry crusty bread. Second course was a hotpot with chicken stock as base. They had jumbo carrots, a few (big) Bok Choy leaves and broccoli. Protein included chunks of beef, salmon, and bay scallops. Due to the uninspired stock the main course was mediocre at best. Honestly you’d do better at an Asian hot pot. Final course was a dessert Chocolate fondue. Chocolate was of high quality. However, items for dipping was terrible. They had marshmallows (remember this a supposed nicer restaurant), small cuts of fresh pineapple and cold waffles. After the final course. We couldn’t even order a proper dessert to celebrate my friend’s birthday. They gave us the bill and ushered us out for their next customer. I would not recommend this meal nor if you want a nice leisurely dinner. Not worth the price. You would get much higher quality elsewhere. Basically you are paying for the view.

   While the view will always be spectacular during clear evenings i wouldn’t deny the food was a big disappointment. Cheese looks like there’s more cornstarch than cheese. The main looks like my teen brother would prepare for dinner… the dipping sauce tastes generic and nothing special. And doesn’t even good accompaniments. The dessert chocolate fondue can be improved with more fruits than marshmallows.

    We had a few complications with our rental car and had to change our reservation time as we were going to be late. They were not only accommodating but gave us “the best seat in the house” and service was great!

    The experience overall was awesome! The service in the restaurant was fantastic, the wonderful server did a great job putting up with us as we were a lively table! The food seemed like small portions at first but it definitely wasn’t and we all left with full bellies! The gondola ride was really fun (a little packed) but that’s to be expected with the hills many attractions. The only thing that I would suggest is having the reservation for the restaurant and the gondola be confirmed at the same time, being from out of town and having to plan so much to get there left me a little stressed about the gondola tickets (which are issued via email between 2-4 on the day of the reservation) I started to panick at 3:30 and phoned the restaurant, they were very quick to reassure me that the ticket desk had all of our information and would issue our tickets no problem. And she emailed the tickets while we were on the phone. All in all, I recommend it and will see them again! Oh, and the view!! It did not disappoint!!

    Unbelievable view of the city transitioning from late afternoon to evening, excellent service and good food. The $73/ person ticket for the gondola is free if you reserve dinner at the restaurant ahead of time (the e-tickets are emailed around 3 pm). Reserve your table for 5:00-5:15 to get a table at the window and spend a couple of hours winter hiking before dinner. Bring spikes or snowshoes for a fabulous hike in the winter.

    We had a wonderful time our server was very nice attentive and knowledgeable. There was a noticeable wait between course but i think that is the idea to take your time to digest.

    Service was very good, very accommodating to what I wanted. Enjoyed the chocolate fondue a lot more than the cheese one, that even was OK, the flavor was very strong. Expensive for the quality of food served. Views are spectacular!

    Perfect for a different Valentine date. We loved the food overal except the starter (wine in cheese not the best!) and the view. The akyride was also fun!

    Food was nothing more than okay. There was too much wine in the cheese fondue so the taste was off. The items chosen to be served with cheese fondue and chocolate fondue were extremely basic. Also presentation was nonexistent. Everything was served in basic white dishes without any design. The experience was a basic 2 star. I am not impressed and I do not recommend this restaurant!

    Had 3 course meal. 1 st course cheese fondu Had to ask for more bread and potatoes small small portions. 2 nd course Prawns and scallops were fishy. Meat couldn’t eat had to spit out sooo tuff . 3 rd course choc fondu You would Expect fruit. 3 things waffle peices marshmallows and pineapple. No bananas No strawberries No Mellon 75.00 per person for below standard food. Will not go again and will not recommend. It was the worst Fondue ever.

    This was a really unique dining experience! It was a lot of fun, taking the gondola up to the observatory. Although we didn’t have much of a view at the top because it was so foggy, the ambience of the restaurant was really warm, cozy and classy. We ordered the three course meal which was plenty of food for two people. I will always remember this special experience!

    Disappointing experience. Low value for money. I really had such high hopes for the fondue experience here, but sadly as a local north shore resident this left me feeling somewhat ashamed of what we are serving to the many visitors to Grouse Mountain who may leave simply feeling that this is the low quality that they should expect here. It is not.

    First time here so I cannot comment on the food as compare to before. I wish I have checked some of the comments here before going. While the staff and service were good, the food was not great. For the price, I would expect more. For what they are serving, I wonder if there is a chef onsite.

    View is great. Room is intimate and nice. Fondue experience was very disappointing. It could have been so much better if they put the smallest amount of effort into the menu options. Definitely not worth the price for bland ingredients that looked like they were dumped out of the bag onto the plate

    You pay for the experience and that's it. They were short staffed, so we don't know if that's why the food was so poor. The place has a gorgeous view and the waiters were very nice. But the food... Wow. It was bad and for sure not worth of how much we were charged. Specially the second and third course. The vegetable broth is a unseasoned hot pot, not a fondeu. And the waffle was stale. Also, we could see they went with the cheap and out of the shelf for every single ingredient. Not something you expect on a $170 dinner.

    Service is good but food is lacklustre. We were a party of 10. The hotpot experience is rather odd. The chocolate in the desert fondue is not real chocolate but more like a sauce.

    Save your self some money until they are back with their regular menu. I wish I had read the recent reviews before going. I am sure lots of people had already cancelled because place was almost empty. Whoever is running the place should at least eat what they are serving. It seems almost unethical to serve such food.
