Hallo. The first waiter was very quick ("2 secs") to say hello but very slow to actually come and take an order. It wasn't very busy when we arrived. The food portions were starters which is what we wanted but the portion sizes were very small - £6.95 for a Caprese salad consiting of a few slices of Mozarella and tomato with a drizzle - raw costs of ingredients less than £1 and the Calamari was about 8 rings with a dip but undercooked. I'm sorry, but we were not impresssed. The beers were good, especially the alcohiol free one.

Weston’s Thatched Cottage restaurant has always delivered an exceptional experienced since we moved here in 2019. Following the Covid lockdown it was the first restaurant we returned too; it was a cold spring and they didn’t have the amount of fire pit tables they have now. I remember stuffing hand warmers in all my pockets and beneath my clothes - very amusing but so worth it for the amazing food. These days there are far more fire pit tables but we didn’t actually need additional heat yesterday as the sunshine had finally appeared! The Kleftiko is wonderful and comes served with Mediterranean veg and lovely herb infused roasties - gorgeous and lot too heavy, even on a summer evening. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough but would equally recommend all the restaurants along the sea front in Weston. This one is very much my favourite though xx

Very disappointed with the quality of the food. Starters very poor value for money. Portobello mushrooms that were very small, so doubt they were. Steaks arrived well cooked but covered in salt. The onions rings were over battered and greasy. We both left a lot of our main. Wine very expensive. Sat through most of our meal in a coat as the restaurant was cold. Not a great experience and we were there to celebrate my birthday

First time in Weston Super Mare. Thought we would try The Old Thatched Cottage as ot looked quaint. We were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were so friendly and very knowledgable about the menu, the business & Weston Super Mare. The atmosphere was perfect. Now the food, well that was just something else. Absolutely out of this world. Cooked to perfection, full of flavour & Locally sourced. We will be back, without fail.

Went for a lunch time meal for our wedding anniversary the staff were brilliant the food was gorgeous . Everything is clean and fresh . If the sun was out we would of sat outside as the seating area looked fab. Will defo be back in a few weeks .

Lamb kleftika was not authentic. I was so looking forward to trying this place out and was disappointed. The lamb was nice and tender but the dish was tasteless and amateur. I shall not return unfortunately as its a nice place.... 😔

On a warmer day we would have eaten outside. As it looked amazing with the table fire pits. Food was very tasty, and plenty to eat. We had mains and pudding. Nice beer and wine and good plain service.

We had a last minute booking and was surprised to get an outdoor seat with firepit. It was warm, comfortable and had views of the bay. My risotto was excellent, really tasty, cooked properly and hot. My friends both had the lamb shank which not only looked great tasted great too.

We booked for 1930. Arrived just before and told that we were late for our booking, which the waitress said was booked for 1830, therefore our table had been given away. Showed my email which stated 1930 booking. No real apology for the mistake. Still had a nice evening but upset that our table had been given away when we were on time.

Went for an evening meal by the fire pit with my boyfriend, it was the perfect evening. We were running late for our 7pm booking but we called the restaurant and they happily pushed our table back to 7.30pm so we could make it. Amazing food, the fire pit was very warm and romantic. The service was brilliant and the waitresses were very kind and friendly. Will definitely be back.
