Always enjoy coming back to The Old Vine - this time it was our first post-lockdown meal. Menu was quite short but we were both very happy with our choices, very nice cooked food and efficient friendly service. have recommended it before and very happy to do so in the future.

Lunch after lockdown 2. Fast and efficient. They didn’t get out booking through opentable even though we had proof of the booking. So we were in a back room which was quite characterless but the food and service were excellent. And had we been in the main pub it would have been 5 star all around.

I ordered the salmon, it was so salty(the fish and the mashed potato). Its like I ate salt. My husband ordered the duck,it was dry and bland.

Excellent COVID related service (thanks to Jason) that was the best we received during our 3 day trip to Winchester. Top quality beer as you’d expect from a Fuller’s pub. The premises are clean, well looked after and in close proximity to the cathedral.

They claimed to not work with OpenTable and claimed to not have our reservation despite the fact I was able to produce a formal confirmation of my booking. It was meant we were faced with the possibility on now getting seated and a frustrating start to our meal. That being said, they were able to seat us after moving some stuff around and we had to make do on a table for 4 (for 5). Food was ok, price reasonable. All around an ok place but definitely need to sort out their relationship with OpenTable as they're claiming they don't work with you.
