Small tapas menu, but everything I tried on it was fantastic. The Shrimp dumplings were great, and the Beef short-rib was the best I have ever had in my life (I am 66 btw). Both small plates were in the 18$ - 28$ range, and absolutely delicious. Someone wanting more quantity might have an issue but the price, but if really good quality is what you care about, you will not be disappointed. Bartender Renault was terrific, both cocktails I had were imaginative and delicious. I deliberately chose a Sunday evening to try The Ostrich Club for the first time. It was very quiet, very pleasant space. I will be definitely be back to see how it is when busier.

We had a great experience! Service was great (Shoutout Marc!), the food was great, and the atmosphere was fun and lively! Appreciated Lindsay taking the extra time to help us select a wine that suited our preferences, and catered to the dishes we ordered! Highlights of the meal were the Xi'an Noodles and the Albacore Tuna! Thanks Ostrich Club :)

Amazing meal! Most memorable dining experience in Halifax for a long time. Service and food impeccable. You owe it to yourself to order the brussel sprouts. Was our first visit, will not be our last.

Service was a little all over the place, not cutlery, no napkins so had to ask. Sourdough was great, Brussel Sprouts hard and short rib was just ok. . We have had better here, put it down to an off night!

So-called small plates were very small servings and overpriced as was the wine. Atmosphere was noisy with loud bass music. However service was exceptional.

My husband and I had a delicious brunch at The Ostrich Club...our first time there! We both had the shakshouka (I had the vegetarian option) and the fresh pressed grapefruit juice. Both were delicious. The dining room was clean and well spaced and the staff were lovely. Will be back!

Despite the business of the bar when we arrived, we were given fantastic service, by the bartenders and the servers who came by our table. The cocktail menu was creative and a fun mix that appealed to a range of tastes.

Lindsay , the mixologist , ( also our server Friday night) is the best in Halifax in our opinion. The drinks are always so amazing and bursting with incredible flavour using unusual ingredients. The food was very tasty , especially the tuna tartar . We always enjoy our meal and evenings at the Ostrich club .

We eat out a few times a week. We hadn't been to the Ostrich Club for quite awhile. Friends who had been said they found the menu "peculiar" and pricey. The menu had certainly changed since we were there last . There were just two of us so we ordered beef short ribs and the brussel sprouts. It was adequate for a tasting of each. Other than the Nova Scotia selections there was not a wine on their extensive list that we recognized. The wine is certainly pricier than most places we eat in Halifax. To have to pay at least $60 and far more seems unnecessary. A few wines in the $40 -$50 range would have been nice. I think there are other places where the evening is just as pleasant for less.

We went for dinner which was delicious, however, definitely think we would have preferred the brunch items more! Excited to come back for brunch sometime soon. Service was great :)

Fabulous restaurant, with exquisite food and cocktails/mocktails. Our only issue is with the noise level. If you are hard of hearing, this is a challenging environment for conversation. An outstanding restaurant--our favorite!

Across a range of small plates, we were impressed with the thoughtfulness of flavours and colours that were put in front of us. Service was impeccable with excellent recommendations for apertif cocktails and the wide ranging wine list. One of the best spots in Halifax.

Had a delicious dinner, small plate style meant trying 3 different things, shrimp, beef tongue and short rib. The wine list of small independent winery selections was unrecognizable to me, but the resident sommelier helped with the selection, perfect 10 out of 10.

The food was absolutely amazing. There was one dish we didn’t really care for, out of 7 that we tried, but we just loved most of it! It is a bit pricey, but I suppose when the food is so amazing and unique, that's what you’re paying for! The music didn’t seem to fit the vibe of the place, which felt a little loud, but our experience otherwise was amazing.

It's a small place and tables are a bit tight. But the food and cocktails make this a good place to go. Pork ribs were outstanding as were the shrimp dumplings. Great cocktails .... seven seas ... delicious.

This Hydrostone restaurant is a gem Run by two ladies and a chef from Saskatchewan (believe it or not) - and the food was fantastic. They have a very unique wine lis, and both are sommeliers. We would recommend to anyone, and we did to a few people we chatted with before we departed Halifax.

The place is really beautiful! Wine list is really interesting and cocktails well made. Both of waiters were full of knowledges. I should have listen my waiter more carefully especially for the Xian noodles. I took it at our last plate and I was really disappointed. The rest of the food was interesting, eclectic and tasteful.
