    wine selection very good.Server was outstanding. She tried to warn my dining companion off a selection but he didn't listen - hence he didn't love his dinner. My choice however was excellent

    It was great! We wanted to sit in the upstairs area where we were last year with our son's rehearsal dinner was. When we arrived, they recalled our "ask". Great service and food!. :-)

    Went for the Sunday Roast Dinner. Overall it was good. We have had it in the past and it had changed somewhat. In the past everything came on one plate so it was a bit crowded. This time it came on two plates, beef and Yorkshire on one and roasted veg on another. A very nice piece of beef, good size and cooked perfectly, one small complaint being that Yorkshire was a bit overdone on mine. My husband’s was fine. But the plate came with all the gravy at the bottom with everything sitting on top including the Yorkshire pudding and a small greens salad. The salad on top of the gravy was not pleasant as it became warm and wilted from sitting on the gravy. The roasted vegetables were excellent and the horseradish was very creamy and flavourful without being too hot or overwhelming. The service was excellent. It was decent value for the money.

    The wait service was slow and our mains for 5 ppl were all served together except one of us. This diner had to wait an additional 8-10 mins for his main which is unacceptable. The restaurant did offer a free dessert for the delay which they had to be reminded to take off bill when it came. The overall sound level was too loud to have conversation at the table so if you’re looking to sit around a table over a good pub style meal without having to shout, you should select another location and not the Oxley.

    A really interesting menu with a variety of offerings. The burger was unusual in the best possible way. Our group enjoyed everything we ordered, and had a fun night. Everyone said they would return in the future while in the neighborhood.

    The fish and chips was average, and the quantity was small for the price. Wait staff did not explain the menu and did not make any recommendations. Had to ask three different servers for salt. Overall is was good but certainly over priced.

    Need more vegetarian/pescatarian options. Also the seating was awkward as we didn't have much space under the table for our feet.
