Located in the charming beach town of Gearhart, OR - possibly best known for being the summer home & final resting place of James Beard, the godfather of American fine dining, The Pacific Way is located in a history filled 1929 building. Depending on the coastal weather, you may chose a cozy space indoors, warm by a fire or dine in our covered dog friendly patio. Our menu is farm-to-table, changes based on what is fresh from the farms this week & the chef offers chalkboard menu items regularly. You'll find our menu is seafood forward, but it is worth noting there's always something special on deck for the vegetarian and carnivore in the group. We recommend making reservations for dinner (Thu-Sun, 4-8p) but accept walk-ins when we can.

It was our 20th anniversary and they went above and beyond our expectations for us! We had the Chef Trevor’s tasting menu and every dish was outstanding from the homemade focacia with sesame oil, stone fruit and tomato salad, scallop sishimi, crab and shrimp cakes with red cabbage, salmon belly and Madeline’s with berries for dessert. All were beautifully presented and full of great flavors. Best restaurant in the area.

We always enjoy The Pacific Way when we are in Gearhart. The menu has become even more creative this year. Staff were attentive as always. Al in all, it was a great experience.

We ordered the halibut and the salmon. Both were a little overcooked, and we actually discussed this with the servers before ordering. The salmon plate was covered in vegetables, and actually hid the special qualities of the salmon. It was more like a stir fry than a nice plate. The halibut was listed as "slow-roasted" but it came out at the same time as the salmon. The chef is talented but it just needs a little more care in preparation and presentation.

This was an incredible find and made our trip! We had the Epic Chef’s Tasting Menu for $99 per person and it was amazing. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, from the veggies to the sashimi and steak. Best green beans I have ever eaten. Delicious wine. Scrumptious cheesecake. The flavor pairings were top notch.

Alan and his staff went beyond to accommodate our party, which expended from 4 to 5 people. The food was absolutely excellent; all the staff including the chef were very attentive. I could not recommend this restaurant more highly.

WOW!! This is THE place to go in Seaside. Delicious, unique, and creative dishes with a changing locally sourced menu. Every dish was perfect. Service was very quick
