We had an awesome time as usual. Food was great and service was exceptional. Thank you
Great experience overall! Great view! Great employees! Great food!
We had Thanksgiving dinner. We made a 7:00 reservation, mentioned a food allergy and asked for a table with a view. The server knew nothing of the allergy and we seated at the very back of the restaurant, literally the very back. There were open tables in the front so I was disappointed.
Thanksgiving dinner was great. Thanks to the excellent chef, runners, Rick and John!
Light of kitchen was very bright
Each of Washington's many steakhouses has its fans. The Palm is our favorite, first because they serve the best steaks and lobster in the city, second, because staff treat you as family, always welcoming and always responsive, and third, because of their excellent bar. Even though The Palm is among the oldest restaurants in Washington, their approach is modern and informal. We've been happy customers since before 2009.
Came here to eat dinner and there was availability to book only a few hours before and still options to push my reservation time back an hour because we were running late. Our server, Bobby, was so nice, knowledgeable, and friendly—we really enjoyed him. The food was pretty good (sea bass, filet, grilled asparagus) and so was the wine! The ambiance was calming and dim, and Bobby explained the portraits that were painted all over the walls. Valet parking was complimentary! Overall a very pleasant experience.
Every thing was excellent however, I’m not that fond of the new menu. I wish they would restore the pre COVId menu.
Consistent as always service was impecable had the salmon real good cooked excitably how I ordered
Mike the manager at the DC Palm could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Looking forward to heading back there soon.
Consistently excellent in all regards - food, service, ambiance, thoughtfulness. One of my favorite places in Washington. I return often.
Food was very good except for the carrot cake, which appeared to have just come out of a refrigerator. It should have been served at room temperature with the frosting soft and pliable, which it was not.
I booked this reservation on OpenTable and noted “Anniversary.” When we arrived they seated us at the table and wished us a happy anniversary and even had a card signed by the staff wishing us the same. This extra touch just started the meal off perfectly. All of the food was delicious and our server, Michael, could not of been better. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. The front receptionist was courteous when taking my wife’s coat, reminded her to pick it up on the way out, and took several pictures of us upon request. The quality of the food and the professionalism of the staff from the moment we walked in the door made this an exceptional experience and well worth every penny.
This was a birthday celebration for my 17 year old son and they made it very special for him!
Reggie made the evening!
Thank you to him for the superb service.
For an expensive restaurant, we’d expect more polite/welcoming service. Beginning with the hostess and including our server.
Excellent service and fun place. But if a steakhouse, steak should come out as ordered - if ordered medium, it shouldn’t be rare/maybe medium rare if being generous.
My server went above and beyond by running down the street to give me my credit card that I left behind.
Birthday celebration !
We love the waiters !!
It was really loud. It took over 30 minutes for them to take our order for our starter. Rarely got checked on. Confirmed it was our anniversary at the desk but the card on the table said happy birthday.
The shrimp cocktail was tough and our server kept taking down his mask while he spoke to us. Not a great experience from a trusted restaurant group.
Service was AMAZING
My wife & I went to the Palm for our anniversary. It was a great present to one another. Food, Service, drinks were all on the money.
So great to see so many people out and about on a Wednesday evening! Fabulous food from both the Palm oyster and Palm clam appetizers we shared to the sea bass pizzaioli. Service was seasoned, welcoming and ever-present without intrusion. A bit pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience.
Stellar service - our server was a true professional. Disappointed in some of the food - one of our party ordered steak and it was inedible (to their credit, we weren’t charged for it). Would appreciate more chicken options, such as chicken paillard. We are regular diners at The Palm in Beverly Hills and the paillard is one of our favorite entrees, especially because it is so low in calories.
Service was excellent, and the food exceptionally well done!
Always a great meal. Steak was perfection!
Dinner was delicious. Great martinis! Only issue was we were seated across from the don and melania pics.....yuck!
Never disappoints- Great food, great ambience, fantastic service.
We had a wonderful overall experience. Reggie was our waiter and he was outstanding!!!
I was disappointed at first, but our main entree almost made up for it. To start, I got a cocktail that was obviously missing a main ingredient. It was corrected quickly. Then we ordered a seafood dish as an appetizer, and the fish was obviously old and bad. Like, gag worthy. At this point I feel like we're "those people" that just complain about everything, and I felt really bad having to bring up a second issue to the server. Typically if something minor goes wrong we just don't say anything and eat the meal anyway, but for a restaurant of this caliber to serve two inedible things in a row was very frustrating. Also, the restaurant was SO loud. Like, sports bar on a major game night loud. And do not expect any kind of social distancing.
All that being said, we have zero complaints about our server. He was amazing and addressed the issues very quickly. Our main entrees were delicious, thankfully.
I’ve dined here at least 60 times over the years and all I can continue to say is Magnificent! My favorite restaurant in DC for dinner!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
The excellent service matched the delicious cuisine.
The power lunch needs to have the shrimp bucatini put back on it and change the catch of the day more
I was immediately seated. Ordered 15 minutes later. I didnt receive my food until 50 mins later. The waiter was not attentive until I expressed disdain for the way my appetizer was dropped off and its presentation. Definitely wont be going back.
Our server was superb, friendly, there when you wanted him and not when when not. Great indoor/outdoor seating.
Good as aLways
We sat at the bar to have a drink before our reservation was ready, but the bartender was so fun and engaging we decided to stay there for our whole meal! She was wonderful... knew the menu, made great suggestions and fabulous cocktails! I only wish I could remember her name to recommend her to others.
My Boss came from out of state they loved it I was not there he said he will comeback in two weeks they will come again.
love of my life and I had dinner and it was absolutely amazing. Service impeccable. Food incredible. Drinks perfect. Outstanding night.
