Like everything else at Austin Proper, the service was amazing. This was our second visit to Peacock and it did not disappoint. Excellent menu and knowledgeable staff. Be sure to have a cocktail at Goldie’s before dinner as well.

A very nice restaurant, with incredible ambiance, but a bit loud with food that didn’t seem to justify the cost. Would pass on the broccolini and fries, but the meats and ribeye hummus were very good and liked by all at the table.

Subpar, overrated, and expensive. I don’t mind paying for a nice meal, but I’d be dissatisfied with the food even if I had paid less. The hummus and dips were great, the entrees, definitely not. The ambiance is nice — likely what you’re really paying for. If you want good Mediterranean food, there’s much better, less expensive options that won’t leave you with buyers remorse.

This was our first time eating at Peacock Grill! The decor was classy and our food came out quickly. The food was amazing! Our cocktails were delicious and the presentation was classy! John our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable! The negative would be how dark it was. We could not read our menus and had to use our phone lights. A small lamp in the table would have been great. It would also allow us to see our delicious food better!!

Good but very overpriced food !! Lights in the restaurant are very dimmed so everyone needs to turn on the flashlight on their phone to read the menu . EVERYONE !!! There was a wellness tax added to the check and when we asked our waiter he said it was to help Pay for their heath insurance . Just absurd !!! He took it off the bill per our request .

We had a lovely dinner for 2 at Peacock. This is the restaurant separated from the lounge area at Proper Hotel by a partial wall. Atmosphere & design are divine, food was excellent (hummus, chicken tagine, carrots & asparagus) and service was very good as well. Highly recommend!

We found the decor very lovely and the service was very good. We were happy with some dishes and disappointed in others, particularly the octopus. There was also a problem with leveling of our table and we noticed others having the same problem. I was there on a date and was sitting right next to another couple on a date so I wasn't happy with the privacy. We might return to try some other dishes, though.

The food here is really spectacular. It's elevated Levantine fare, and the flavors are AMAZING. We had a variety of the meze/dip options, and a shared kebab platter - everything was superb. They offer endless house-baked pita (which is good, but, not GREAT) and crudite. The drink and wine selection is also great, including Lebanese red options. The lighting is dim; I had to use the candle to read my menu (aging eyes!), and the noise level is loud, but we were still able to carry on a conversation during dinner.
