Located in the heart of Bala, Muskoka, The Pearl is a destination food market during the day & vibin snack bar at night where “old country” and contemporary intersect. Led by a team of culinary experts, focused on mixing flavor-driven cuisine with the simplicity and comforts of cottage life.

What started as a vision of a cool, welcoming spot in the heart of Muskoka was then explored, researched and fine-tuned by TOBEN Hospitality Group owners Toben Kochman, Elana Kochman and Ryan Feldman. After putting their heads together and harmonizing their ideas, they arrived at The Pearl.

The Dinner Menu at the Pearl continuously evolves and focuses on communal eats in the form of small & large share plates or "tapas". It is the perfect atmosphere for guests to disconnect from their day and reconnect with one another.

The experience at the Pearl was lovely. The food was above average but the portions for the money were sparse. As I am allergic to fish/seafood, the entrees were not available to me. The seating is strictly outdoors which is fine but it’s roadside and could be better protected from the highway. Overall good food, great service but would like larger portions or a less expensive bill!

Our reservation was for a later sitting so unfortunately some items on the menu were sold out. But every thing we had was fresh and flavorful. Very nice staff

We were very pleased with food quality and presentation. Slightly put off by having our identical main course choices appear 20 minutes apart. Perhaps a mistake by our server, or something amiss in the kitchen, but we'll never know. Hopefully these issues will resolve themselves in the future.

We are so happy to have a new choice in Bala with fresh and exciting options. I would love to have given 5 start but the price of the food/portion sizes just don’t warrant it. The service was excellent, the food delicious but it lost us at the mezze platter. Honestly we got a couple of tablespoons of each choice and 5 teeny triangles of pita… and it certainly was not a sharing platter. A little more thought into this would help. We will eat there again to ensure that the obvious hard work pays off but hope to get enough next time. A great salad and falafels done well was the highlight!

Food selection, presentation and portions were great for sharing. Wait staff was great and chefs actually came out to say hello. We were there on a rainy day but but outdoor dining worked with big umbrellas.

We had a fabulous time even with some rain. Our waitress, Katie, was FABULOUS, and was soon able to get us moved under the covered space. The food was EXCELLENT and the cappucino was the BEST ever!
