    Whilst we enjoyed our Winter Tea it is an expensive treat. We had modified booking and turned up early and they accommodated us with every change. Very attentive service Good choice of tea.

    I invited two friends to join me for afternoon tea. We had a very enjoyable experience. The choice in teas was overwhelming and the tiered delights were very good. The service was also very good however the payment process left a bad taste when I was reminded what was and wasn’t included and how much the tip should be based on. This popped the bubble on such an enjoyable experience.

    A very enjoyable time. We appreciated excellent accommodations for vegan needs. Our only suggestion would be for the tea to be hotter and perhaps use of cozies got the teapot. We still give this lovely place a 5 star. Our waiter was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

    We went for my daughters 25th birthday. Our server was enthusiastic and informative, without hovering. It’s in a lovely historic mansion in the inner harbour. The food was excellent - from the delicious scones to every sandwich, savory and sweet. Highly recommend.

    This place is way over priced for the poor quality of food. The sandwiches were dried out and lacking in flavor. The scones were cold. The deserts/pastries were the best part but even some of them were not flavorful and even tasted not fresh. At $66 per person set menu we cannot recommend this place at all.

    Lovely afternoon high tea on the waterfront. Much better value than overpriced Empress. Food was delicious and after slow nibbles and a pot of tea left quite full. Would recommend!

    Lovely afternoon tea for two seated in a great spot by a window overlooking the water. The food, scones, and sweets were absolutely amazing. There was an impressive assortment of teas and the service was great. I would absolutely recommend the Pendray Inn Tea House.

    Our second trip to Pendray Tea House and every bit as enjoyable as the first! Love the teas, the food was excellent (if a bit pricey for lunch/brunch/high tea), and they were able to accommodate us even though we showed up 30 minutes early for our reservation. Will definitely come again!

    Kind of an odd thing. I had made reservations for tea at 4:00 but was called the morning of asking if we could be there earlier as we would be the last guests for the day. We rearranged our day to accommodate them as best we could but when we arrived there were multiple tables filled and others arrived after us. A "thank you" would have been nice..

    We enjoyed our time, however the amount of food on the tiers that are $65 each are not reflective of that amount of money. Last time I had been there I had way more food on my tier, I can see there are cut backs on the food. My suggestion would be to add more food to the price, seeing two tiers put together into one that looked like one order was disappointing. If there can’t be more food added then decrease the price. But I and many others have noticed how little you get for your money.

    Beautiful spot. I've been here a number of times 2 years ago. This time, food was poor and not a good value, in my opinion. Nothing personal, people were nice but not good value in any stretch of the imagination. Something has changed, and not for the better. It will be sometime before I try again, and I will no longer be recommending this location. I'm terribly sorry as it has so much potential in so many ways.

    Such a fun experience, I was a little disappointed about the amount of food you actually end up getting. $30+ after your pot of tea and then you only really get a snack size of food. Server was awesome, very friendly.

    A great place to stop for tea, selection was great for both tea options and food and it was enough that we were quite full when we finished. The decor was cute, clean and inviting, service was friendly and efficient. Thanks for having us!

    We wanted to have afternoon tea, and many people said to go to The Empress. We walked through the Empress and it was super crowded and very loud - not our vibe at all. We found The Pendray a few blocks away and were incredibly happy to find a much more relaxed and calm afternoon tea experience. All of the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. There was nice spacing between the seats so we didn't feel squished in, and the noise level was low. Our server took the time to help describe the teas to us and help us make a selection. When the food arrived, the server described the items to us for a refresher, and also offered to take a photo for us. The teas were wonderful and the food was very tasty. We truly had a delightful experience and would recommend Pendray to anyone!

    The details for high tea were just not reflective of the prices. The dishes looked worn and no high tea teaspoons. The tea was not kept hot. There was not enough food per person for the prices. It's a shame because the setting is beautiful though could use some updates.

    Beautiful Victorian-era stylle tea room. Loved the matching piano music in the background and the fine porcellain with rose print, all matching. The London Fog tea was a revelation, and the food was fantastic, from the savories at the bottom to the scones to the sweet bites - I just loved them all! The service was nice and unimposing. Would absolutely go again!

    Everything was pretty solid as far as taste goes. Wide variety of tea flavors. Everything we ate was tasty. I would say the cost is more for the experience of having afternoon tea, not for the value. You don't get much food for the cost. The staff were friendly and fun.

    We loved our tea, servers were lovely especially the tall women, didn't catch her name who sat us and took our order before her shift was over. I was asking questions about the home and family and it was nice to have someone on staff who knew the history. Maybe others do as well but often in places like these I find staff don't have the historical background which is a shame. Everything was lovely but my only recommendation would be to keep an eye on the freshness of your gluten free breads. Mine almost tasted stale. I've had many gf teas around BC and I've never had a complaint. Hopefully it was just a one off day because it really was a nice experience for my daughters 33rd birthday. Will be by again, thank you!
