The pilot is hands down the best upscale pub experience in the Yonge-Bloor-Yorkville area. Great food, friendly staff and the Flight Deck consistently ranks as one of Toronto's best patios. Excellent live jazz on Saturday afternoons too!

I enjoyed my visit to the Pilot, even though the waiter brought the wrong wine and forgot the chicken skewers for my salad. But the food was good, creative, and fresh. The noise level could have been lower, but that's usual in restaurants these days. I plan to go back again one of these days.

I made a reservation for an office social at 2pm in the afternoon for 10 people. The service was excellent. The noise level was fine. The timing and the ambiance contributed to lively conversation and an enjoyable atmosphere. The menu was also outstanding. Lots to choose from. Satisfying for vegetarians and and picky eaters alike. Lots of sharable platters. Great time. We will be back.

We made a reservation earlier in the week, and when we got there, there were no tables available. We waited 10 minutes and, instead of a table on the front patio, we got our second choice on the roof deck. Not the end of the world, but annoying. My burger arrived and it was missing its bacon and cheese, and then the cost of my companion's basket of sweet potato fries was split, without asking, between everyone's bill. Again, not the end of the world, but these were simple things that were lacking some attention to detail.

The tables are way too close together. Using the restroom means three people have to get up because the chairs can’t be moved back enough. Food was fine, service was super friendly and made the night better.

Service was excellent, food not so much. The onion soup was excellent but the calamari not so good. Too much batter, too tough, and the sauce was pretty boring and lumpy. The carrot cake was good but for $17 a serving it should have been incredible. Coffee was cold and coke pretty watered down.
