Food was awesome service was good good value for buck. They could do some decorating though
Valentine’s Day 5 course dinner. Was really great as a whole!
Great food, taken care of, service was wonderful. My wife and I really enjoyed our time together. So peaceful
It was a quiet Saturday with only a few tables occupied.
The server was friendly and knowledgeable.
The food was really good.
My partner had their special venison meatloaf and the portion did not disappoint.
I had their seasonal vegetable bowl and it was really good too. Followed by the chocolate decadence dessert. The salted caramel gelato on top was amazing.
I only wish that there were lights on the lake so we could see it but outside of that a great night.
Fabulous food and outstanding service. We had a wonderful experience dining here. Thank you!
Very enjoyable, specials were explained to a tee, will go back again
The Duck Spring rolls were delicious! The surf and turf, with butternut squash was amazing complement!
We went for a family dinner to The Pines. The quality of the food, preparation and presentation did not disappoint. Everything was met the standards that we have come to expect from this dining establishment. Our server was attentive, courteous and friendly, and ensured that we had the space and time to enjoy our meals. All in all a very good dining option when visiting Jasper as some of the other local dining places are quite mediocre. Will visit the restaurant the next time we're in the mountains!
Went to Jasper for a few days and had dinner at the pines one night. Service was wonderful, great service, we’ll be back!!
Ordered a steak medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. Great service.
I had ordered the $40.00 steak that was mostly grisly, the carrots were chewy not a nice crunchy.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner and it was one of the best turkey meal we all have had. Stuffing was amazing and the turkey was roasted and the turkey dark meat a confit was to die for. The dessert Creme Brûlée was off the charts! E dry thing was outstanding. Chef sintroduced himself and was personabke and our server was the best! Timed everything Perfectly as we asked him. Will always come here for our traditional TG!! Bravo
Delicious meal in pleasant setting, slightly upscale, nice to see folks dressing a little for dinner.
Views would be better in daylight, but the room itself is lovely and rustic.
Meals were well priced, staff very friendly and helpful.
Limited menu choices but the food was very good. Restaurant is décor is lodge like but view over lake and mountains is very nice. Service was very good and attentive. Nice setting and good food, an easy drive just outside Jasper town site.
The steak was the best everrrrrr !! The staff didnt seem very happy ?? Eating on the Patio was fab !! Christine
Good food but limited menu, could use more options
Showed up early and were seating right away. We had a table by the window overlooking the lake. Amazing view! Server took the time to explain the specials and allowed us time to review the menu. The food was prepared so quickly. Main course was delicious - we both had the steak. Dessert was so good - peach creme brûlée. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Jasper. Hopefully we’ll be back soon too!
It was my birthday dinner and loved it!!
Menu was small, food was decent. Nothing amazing
Great service and great food. The entire West side is lined with large windows. This makes looking out at Pyramid Lake a very enjoyable experience.
We had dinner at the Pines restaurant. We had the lamb shank, which was awesome and the BC salmon which was good. Excellent service, our waiter was Craig. Rustic setting With beautiful view of the lake and mountains.
Anniversary dinner .. very nice
We had a lovely view by the front window of the lake. The service and ambiance of the restaurant was very lovely.
The restaurant vibe was really nice. The waiter was really helpful and friendly.
Made better we saw an elk.
Appetizers were great! Steak was overcooked , dry and way too salty.
The Tekarra atmosphere was very nice and friendly. The chicken was excellent!
Entrees were excellent. Trout, and Salmon. Definitely need a chocolate choice on the dessert menu.
Very good food. Odd proportions for price. Good enough service. Terrible wine list.
A good dinning place for family with small kids. The service is excellent!
Lovely restaurant with a magnificent view! Family friendly too! Thank you
The Pines Resturant at Pyramid Lake is a must visit. The views out their expansive windows are beautiful and unique to this resturant. The food was amazing, and the service was great, overall a fantastic experience.
Went for supper with our kids, we had the steak, Salmon, burger and chicken fingers
Burger was blan, Salmon was a little over cooked, steak and fingers were good.
Costly for the amount you get but given we are at a resort we expected the prices.
Carrot cake for desert and it was ok, def should have had the cream cheese icing!
We went here based on all the great reviews. My partner ordered the salmon it was undercooked. I ordered the nightly special - carbonara pasta but it was bland and tasted like some leftover chicken thighs were thrown in to call it a meal. The corn chowder was delicious however I think this place is pretty overrated and our meals were definitely not worth what we paid for them.
Our second night at Pyramid Lake and we once again visited The Pines. This time we had a great table by the front windows with an amazing view. Sorry to sound boring, but we shared another charcuterie board - and it had some variations from the previous night so we still had something new to explore. Very much enjoyed the healthy bowl with steak as ordered by my partner last night, glad I did. The other mains ordered was the salmon - also good. We both opted for the gelatos and they were full of flavour - a good choice.
This was a return visit for us from our first visit in July. We once again enjoyed sharing the charcuterie board. The crispy chicken wrap was just right and the healthy bowl with steak was also enjoyed. Also took advantage of their special Canadian wine offer - very good. One small caveat - with half the tables removed for social distancing, our little table for two was re-positioned directly over a very cold air vent. We shuggled the table base over as much of the vent as possible and moved to the left edge of the table but there was still a bit of a breeze maybe a different space could be found for the table.
We read some wonderful reviews of the Pines Restaurant so decided to go when we were in Jasper. My husband and I both decided to have the salmon - priced at $34. Unfortunately, the salmon was undercooked and unremarkable. My husband ordered a creme brule ($9). It was unrecognizable. It was liquidy, but tasted OK. However, there was a firm mass at the bottom. At first I thought it was a shortbread base, but it wasn't. Was it a slice of apple? It wasn't. I really don't know what it was. It had no taste. I'm wondering if they used some kind of mix and the mixture didn't combine - hence the slab at the bottom and the liquid at top. A very disappointing meal, and not a cheap one.
The fries were the best we ever tasted!! I would go back again, just for the fries! Everything was so delicious and full of flavour! Nothing was bland here. We had the Alberta Local Caricature board with wild boar pâté, venison sausage, duck and Oka cheese and it was amazing!! My husband had the Alberta beef burger and I had the Chicken Wrap. Both were so tasty 😋 Thank you for the great anniversary dinner at the right price 🥰❤️👏🏽💗
We sat outside on the patio and the vista was absolutely gorgeous. The food was good and the wine they recommended was a wonderful compliment. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
Our meals were delicious! It was kind of surprising how empty the dining room was, given the restrictions on occupancy in restaurants. I thought that it was worth the drive to get out of Jasper and enjoy the beautiful views of the lake.
Great food, amazing service, beautiful views. (Gritty creme brule was the only disappointment).
